Wow. Fucking wow. Opponent plays a golden Ragnaros a turn after playing Dragonkin Operative.. "created by Dragonkin Operative" Seriously. I had like 18ish cards left in my deck and that's the one you pull, leaving me no way to possibly remove it because I'd already used my hard removal on your Ysera you played the turn before, then removing your 7/6 massive dragon you pulled off of it.
Pretty upset since I had a perfect curve and everything and they literally won because they stole my Ragnaros out of my deck and hid behind it by removing anything I played with their smaller minions. I then drew my actual Ragnaros too late and even though it removed the one they took from me (thanks Rag, you're the best <3) it wasn't enough to stop them from having lethal after taking 3 full turns of Ragnaros damage.
So tired of this RNG bull where your opponent can literally win the game without even having to worry about what's in their own deck. At least the burgle mechanic stole cards across the class - Dragonkin Operative is too overpowered. Not only does it show you 3 cards in your opponents deck but you get to take one too, from an already condensed card pool. There's literally nothing you can do to play around it (unless you manage to pull your threats into your hand before they play operative where they end up sitting for a couple turns due to high cost).
I wish instead of picking a card from your opponents deck it just selects on randomly instead, or it allows you to see 3 cards in your opponents deck but doesn't allow you to take one (similar to a scry ability). You're already getting a 5/6 body on the field.
I don't expect my wins handed to me and can accept a loss when it happens, but when that loss literally comes from my opponent effectively locking me out of playing the game for turns on end using one of my own cards, it takes all the fun out of at least trying to win. I went from 25 health to lethal with no way of stopping it in a position I was otherwise comfortable at.
It's like Priest gets a deck that has 5-6 extra cards in it (since they can combo Dragonkin off Brann and Netherspite as well) while I'm stuck using what I've got in mine. They never seem to run out of steam or threats.
Just going to note that this happened in Wild and the opponent was using a Standard deck while I was playing a Wild one. Keep your standard bull-shit out of wild. I had swapped to Wild for some actual fun instead of grinding in Standard facing the same decks over and over. Was hoping for some variety. Nope. Nothing but Standard decks in Wild and I'm lucky if I face one wild deck while playing.
if the next set and rotation dont place a bit more priority on skill, im done with hs for good. there's too much reliance on card draw rng to win you games.
Find me a card game where you don't have to rely on card draw RNG to win games? (Actually there was one game where you got to pick what card you drew each turn, but it flopped because you could just set up infinite combos on demand)
I never said that. I said I would like to see less reliance on card draw rng, and more reliance on skill.
Alright fair point. I, personally, think card draw RNG isn't the problem, its the fact that SO MANY cards themselves rely on RNG. How did Yogg even get passed? That's just stupid. Or flame juggler, flame-wanker? All this crap where a coin toss can decide the game is the problem.

Really the problem here is perception. No game is decided by a single coin toss but rather a larger number of coin tosses and decisions you make during the game, like the muligan, what cards to play at what point, wheter to vomit your hand out or hedge against aoe. Some RNG is just more flashy than other, such as Rag or Yogg. Humans are in general really bad at judging the effect of their own actions against randomness, attributing bad instances to luck and good to skill.
I wish all Renolocks would burn in hell eternally because this deck is like eternal cancer and it was like it long before people realised it. And cancer always leads to another cancer - I wish they would face Jade Druids every game and die in horrible pain.
I have him added as a player and he has sorta bad luck but not usually as insaneas he claims. However, he is def. not a bad player, he usually get Rank 5+ every season. Just a tad salty which honestly sums up HS players in a nutshell.
A tad salty. I mean at least he keeps his salt here. In other threads he keeps calm, no idea how, though.
I tend to....exaggerate....just a tad. I know what my problem is, and that is I do not react well to losses and end up in this very self destructive downward spiral. I don't know how to deal with it though.
Howls is correct - my luck is bad sometimes, but if I'm being honest for a minute, not stupidly crazy and constant. I have good moments too - you just don't hear about it (I hit rank 10 last night with Jade Druid, finally). I am fully capable of hitting at least rank 5 every month, it's just that some decks I don't find enjoyable whatsoever, so I try to make my own or play something that I find interesting but isn't tier 1 or 2, and eventually decide that grinding isn't worth my time.
As to how do I keep calm in other threads? I like to contribute positively, and would generally like to be seen as a competent and respectful/respected player. And....I've....learned what is acceptable to post and what isn't.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
@Lytrax: Did you honestly need to type that entire thing out in all caps?
On a different note, I feel you on the pain of ranking up. All my opponents have either been Pirate Warriors, or Dragon Priests who use so many operatives that the game's just not fun. I either don't get any time to set up and do anything, or by the time I finally do develop a board the Pirate Warrior has me close to death if not lethal on the following turn, or the Dragon Priest has stolen so many of my cards (AOE, Hard Removal or Large Threats) that there's no possible way for me to win. Just last night I made it to rank 13 after a ridiculous grind, only to play again today and fall back into rank 14 again with a hard loosing streak. I've been trying to play unique decks that are a little more fun but the win/lose rate to what's in the meta right now is awful.
Probably going to change to Wild again and play there and even then I still had the issue of my fun being wrecked by PW's and DP's. I've seen my fair share of Reno as well (especially when he gets bounced and they basically have infinite life) but I think I much prefer playing against a Reno deck than I do PW or DP. At least then I get a sense of "omg I'm actually playing the game and not getting smORKed to death before I can do anything."
Why on earth does anyone get matched up against the same player twice in a row? This isn't salt because of losses because I've had it several times where this happened and I got two wins off, but is there REALLY only one other person in all of north america playing around my rank at that exact same time?? If so, please just delay me 5 more seconds so I don't have to play the same person again.
I lose because Maelstrom Portal summons Patches which procs Freezing Trap which would have frozen Aya Blackpaw. Take a second to comprehend how bullshit that is. I am guaranteed to win 100% if that does't happen. I lose to rank 3 NA player because of this. Again, try to process this information. I am a 60%+ WR legend player who lost to someone who is rank 3 NA. Literally why. Blizzard can suck putrid zebra dick.

If you're rank 5, please stop playing cancer decks. You're probably not going to make it to legend and you already have your golden epic for the month. I don't condone playing all the bullshit tempo storm netdecks up to rank 5 but at least if you're doing that you sort of have an excuse for your pathetic-ness. At rank 5 you can't even go down anymore. So just play an interesting/fun deck for once instead of copy and pasting other people's decks like a dumbass.
Extra salty today. BLIZZ NERF PIRATE WARRIOR! Holy crap! You have all this bullshit high and mighty talk about nerfing OTK decks because of they weren't interactive. Well guess what? Pirate warrior is far less interactive than any of these OTK decks. You say that people don't enjoy playing against Conceal because they can do nothing about the stealth'd minions, well what the hell can I do about the fifth Arcanite Reaper of the day hitting me in the face? We put in all these early game cards but none of it matters because the deck is so broken and out of control. Fix weapons and do it now because this is completely unacceptable.
Feeling salty about my arena run. I drafted a pretty decent priest deck, but only managed to go 2-3. One of my warlock opponents had two siphon soul, prince malchezar, two felfire potions, one blastcrystal potion, dragon synergy, and other crap. Nothing I could have done would win me that game. The other two losses were extremely close, but I felt like I was playing against 10+ win decks.
Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.

don't forget we have face hunters in wild as well! rank 7, super obvious trade with his buffed haunted creeper from glaivezooka, goes face. doesnt trade on the following turns while i completely wipe him off the board. Thank god i won that game, even if it was on 2 hp when he was 1 mana short on hero power. just be prepared for the rank 14-10 onslaught of secret paladins and tech accordingly.

Flamewaker is one of the worst designed cards in the history of hearthstone!
