To loose for a guy who ALWAYS tap at the end of a turn and spend Mortal Coil with a card draw to fatigue when he could don't 'draw' this fatigue - it's just such a facepalm feeling!.... The main reason: Brawl in last 9-10 cards in deck. What's wrong with this esports game?
How to Tell if YOU Are a Cock - plus This One Weird Secret to Avoid Being One
Symptoms of you being a complete cock/douchebag/try-hard/lamer:
1) By habit you emote "well played" just before your lethal strike.
It's just a bad habit showing you have low social awareness - it's about as cool as public masterbation.
I'm doing it, but not as insult, but as a way of thanking my opponent for a game, sometimes actually great playing from his side. Stop being so sensitive.
I'm sorry.
Now, do you think I mean "I'm sorry I have misjudged your communications by virtue of being over sensitive." Or do you think I mean, "I'm sorry, life must be very hard for you, because you don't have the intelligence or social nouse to understand that saying "well played" before sticking the metaphorical knife in will, more often than not, be poorly perceived by your opponent.?

2) You emote a threat just before your lethal strike - but you've been silent all game.
No, it's not funny or roleplaying. Unless you are roleplaying yourself as an asshole.
3) You rope early turns or rope quite often to "think" and avoid misplays.
Look - unless you're a pro streamer explaining something live, or perhaps playing in a money tournament, this just marks you as a retard. Most people can play cards quite quickly and have win rates that are perfectly okay. Grow a brain and stop trying so hard.
4) You emote "that was a mistake", "sorry", or "well played" after the other person's play or after your lethal.
However genuine you are in those emotes they will 99% of the time have the same effect as sticking a label on your forehead saying "cocksucker - all comers and their pets accepted" Which is fine I suppose if that's your buzz, but can there really be that many poodle felatiosts out there?
And the one weird trick to gain respect rather than scorn from your opponents regardless of whether you win or lose?...

You really need to calm down. Even though this is the rant thread I find your comments borderline offensive, due to your word choices and broad generalizations.
1), 2) and 4): Emotes are here for a reason. "I'm sorry" is here for a reason. "Well Played" is here for a reason. You find them offensive. But no, you don't just only find it offensive, you compare emotes with "public masturbation" and "cock-sucking", as if every person who emotes has just committed a grave indecency.
Look, if you don't want to be "insulted" by the opponent's "offensive" emotes just press squelch.
3) Thinking gives you the advantage of making fewer misplays. A Hearthstone player who strives to win realizes that if the possibility for an advantage exists, it should be taken. Thus one should not take offense at "thinking" just as one should not take offense at a player making good plays.
I can't believe I just almost ranted about a rant.
I'm done with this game, I'm just gonna give up my goal on going for legend. Been going back and forth at rank 5-6 forever now. Been facing SO many face hunters, got crushed 11 out 13 games today against that stupid deck and believe me I've tried all variations of my deck. The "skill" in this game is equivalent to going pro in yatzy, ridiculous...

I can't believe you don't understand my point.
Believe what you want, about emote being here for a reason, but the sarcastic BM is out of control. Case in point I just finished a game playing a homebrew Mage against a reincarnate Shaman who got a crucial break when my flame canon took a low-value target.
A 50/50 thing and the game was balanced. We had a played a really good game until then, well I'd been in control, - but all of a sudden the tide turned in his favour. "Sorry..." And the next play "sorry" He won... I friend requested... And simply asked: why all the BM? His response: it's been a long night. Me - still no need to BM : him "sorry m8" At least he had the balls to talk after and apologise.
Regarding playing to rope to gain a potential advantage - just because you can, does not mean you should. By your logic I should rope every turn because even if it does not allow me to think out a better play, it might just upset my opponent and improve my chances that way. I should also spam BM emotes for the same reason. You say a Hearthstone player that sees the possibility for advantage should take it. Do you really, really believe that? If so . I'm sorry.

Roping in hopes of opponent disconnect had been around since HS hit smartphones. Subways don't have good internet coverage, plenty of people screw up by playing on the go, and it is up to smart players to pick up on the +ve EV.
You need to chill bro, too much salt will give u gout.
Here we go again - from Rank 19 down to 16 back to 18/19 in no time. Just. Cant. Break. Through. Win 4-5 in a row, lose 4-5 in a row. Just cant make it happen. RNG, RNG, RNG. I wish this game gave me more control over what cards I get and when.

Thank you for proving my point - some people - like yourself - think it's "smart" to rope because you might upset your opponent, cause a disconnect or whatever. I rest my case. No more posts from me on this topic. For a while anyway.
Just want to be sure the term "face-warlock" is properly defined and used regarding the current meta. They are worse than Face Hunters. Way worse. Just saying. Thanks.

What is a "face-warlock"?
A Warlock that keeps vomiting small minions that attack face only against your control/mid-range deck until you eventually cant deal with it anymore. :) Very similar to face-hunter but for some reason its way more annoying because against warlock you expect a longer more strategic game. Thats all.
Ugh - just faced another one of the @#$%^ things. Dead by turn 5. So much fun.

Isn't that a zoo player who plays the deck badly? Correct me if I'm wrong.

If he's dead by turn 5 then they must be doing something right! Zoo is board control but if you're playing against a slow deck it can be seen as aggressive as you might just have board control from turn 1!
If you are at rank 11, this late in the season, you deserve to beaten an inch closer to death for every emote you spam. Twice over if you're a Hunter or Patron warrior. Why are you still there?? how f'ing terrible are you?? using the most OP decks atm and stuck at rank 11!?? spamming emotes when you top deck. Have a little think to yourself, as to why you are still there, when you're more concerned with being a f'ing knob end with the emotes than actually playing well.
And yes, i am still there too, because I only started playing yesterday really for this season
Isn't that a zoo player who plays the deck badly? Correct me if I'm wrong.
It is. This isn't the first time I've seen him cry about a terrible sounding deck or playstyle though. I suspect he's either rather bad or has a poor understanding of statistics.
Welcome to the "salty" section. What did you expect to read here? You go on being Rank #1 and just let us bad players whine....emm kay? Or should we say "cry"? geesh, relax there Spanky.
The point I was making was that I generally have good batles with Warlocks - not 5 minute blowouts. Thats all. And, "dead by turn 5" simply meant I had conceded at that point which any astute player who values their time would do when you know your current deck just isnt going to help you in this matchup. Thanks.
My shadow/fatigue priest beats Patron Warrior/Freeze mage/Handlock easily, but it's super vulnerable to huntards. Even Zoo/Eboladin is better matchup :(
Can anyone please explain this!!! I queue up as a freezemage on ladder and get controlwarrior three times in a row... So i queue up as controlwarrior and get nothing but facehunter!!! All i want is one good matchup pleaaaaase!!!!! This is something that makes me GOD DAMN RAGE!!!!
When you're having a day like that, just play as Patron Warrior or Midrange Hunter and be favored in all the matchups :P
Game 1: Aggro Paladin - No Lightning Storm, no Healing Bot, no Mind Control Tech, and no Hex for buffed 6/6 Shield Bot.
Game 2/3: Face Hunter - The same, No LS or Heal, but I do draw early MCT this time, steals 1/1 hound in both games, while there were three more valuable minions around. No early Ooze for Hunter weapon either.
Game 4: Aggro Paladin - Same, no removal and healing whatsoever. WTF?
Game 5/6 Ramp Druid - Get Lightning Storm and Healing Bot in opening hand...Wow, just wow. No Hexes/BGH in sight.
Game 7: Handlock - Get again Lighting Storm and Healing Bot on first turns. Again no Hex or BGH.
Game 8/9/10: Face Hunter/Demon Zoo/Aggro Paladin - No Lightning Storm, no Healing Bot, I do draw two Hex and BGH though but no MCT. Draw most of my 4 mana and higher cards in first few turns.
* Sigh* ... This game is not good for my sanity.
It's not just you. The problem isn't really with you or your luck, the problem is control Shaman just SUCKS right now, and it gives you the illusion that the enemy "just got lucky". I recently went through agony trying to make control Shaman work, and I had myself convinced that I would have won all my games if the enemy just hadn't been so fortunate on having better draws. Then eventually I realized control Shaman just sucks because it requires you to have the perfect answers at the right time to not get destroyed. It also requires that the enemy will have BAD draws so that you can stay ahead on tempo early! Every time I play ctrl Shaman, my rank goes down. Then I switch decks and my rank goes up, it never fails.
I made a shaman deck in arena, with good curve and picks. And what I face? A silly paladin with: 2 consecration, 2 equality, a lot of powerfuls minions and buffs like bless of kings. Okay, I can deal with that. Oh wait, Dr boom! GG Blizzard!! I don't have any legendary pick, and this idiot has Dr boom + double consecration- equality?
WENT on a winning streak from rank 20 to rank 6 with 3 stars in three days ... lost only 2 games in the process ,.. went on vacation for two weeks ... i come back to playing again happy i did most of the hard work at the start of the month so i could focus on finally getting past rank 6 .. and guess what .... i've been losing ever since i sat down in front of the computer ... is this a fucking balancing act or a fucking joke ? i lost 8 games in a row and now I'm scared to play ... fuck this fucking good mood highjack I'm experiencing the last couple of days ... one bad match up after another ... ( i hate patrons , refuse to play that shit deck ) .. my mojo isn't running ,its crawling and i lost my confidence ..
