No Hexes, check, no Healing Totems to punish double Northshire, check, worst evolve outcomes, check, Ragnaros hit the C'Thun, check, Thrall drawn as soon as C'Thun clears my board, check, worst evolve outcomes, check
I will summarise it in one word: Checkmate.
Wouldn't that demand something to be done by the enemy in order to win? The only checkmate in that game was given to me from RNJesus.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
I cannot remember the last time I encountered a Priest that actually used a deckslot for Circle of Healing. Managed to meet one on the ladder in Wild. I had 2 minions on board and so they had 3, they made sure to damage each one before dropping a CoH so my Cleric went on a drawing party.
Added 2 cards to my hand and then proceeded to burn Shadowreaper, Kazakus and Raza just from the healing play. My next draw is Reno and that also got burned. Talk about luck...
I drafted a nuts Paladin deck in arena, complete with a Sunkeeper Tarim. And then round 1 I play a Mage. On turn 5 they drop a Cabalist's Tome. A few turns later... Cabalist's Tome. Created by Cabalist's Tome. And right as I'm about to hit him in the face with my 9-6 Blessing of Kingsed Sunbourne Val'Akir and set him at 2, he plays CABALIST'S TOME. Created by Cabalist's Tome. Then slams a fireball. Created by Cabalist's Tome. Kills my 9-6 and he goes on to win with a Pyroblast a couple turns later. Created by... You guessed it. Cabalist's Tome
Just played a Priest, as a Priest, who managed to play 5 - I repeat 5 Obsidian Statues by turn 9. They cost 9 mana! RNG Gods decided my win-streak needed to end, thank you for your humbling lesson of great ones!
Rank 8 in Wild with my Shadowreaper Highlander deck and I get matched up against a Reno Mage. I won the match but I'm so incredibly salty by one moronic play from my opponent, a play in hindsight made the game that much harder for them.
One of the things about any Reno deck is managing your resources as your options are limited as you aren't running dual copies of anything. With that said, why the fuck would you waste your single Polymorph on a fucking Tortollan Shellraiser?!? That Polymorph would have come in handy on the Sylvanas I dropped the following turn, or the Obsidian Statue on Turn 9 or the follow up Obsidian Statue from my 'Free from Amber' on Turn 10 but no your fear the almighty fucking 2/6 Tortollan Shellraiser that I dropped on turn fucking 5.
I get it, I shouldn't be mad about a game I won but it's sad how many people make garbage plays like this...
Yo hate on Jade all you like - and really I'm hoping to move onto something else soon - but the fact it's feasibly possible for me to lose from this position below is just fucking sheer stupidity. I realise that enough times this Combo Mage doesn't get everything together but if they just keep discovering Frost Novas etc. as they did then what am I meant to do? It's the least interactive crap in the game and in my opinion much worse than the likes of Pirate Warrior. I was sure Blizzard was against this kind of thing, they've always nerfed OTKs, yet they've released 2 huge ones recently in Mage and more recently Priest.
It is literally the deck that punishes slow play. It loses vs any aggro deck in a 95 % chance and if quest mage hasn't drawn combo pieces, they lose also. No need to complain, when your deck is made for very late endgame and never reaching fatigue due to endless jades.
Ah yes nice to see proof how rigged this game is once in a while. Pirate warrior in casual (of course where else would these subhuman piles of trash go), after I build a wall of taunts, suddenly pulls out fools bane and execute. Ah yes. The good old fools bane execute pirate warrior. Every other card up until then was 100% netdeck.
this is the kind of card Blizzard shouldn't design. Just played against Lyra. Again. This is one of those cards that has to be answered right away. Just like Fledgling in arena. At least they understood that for arena, but for constructed they're a little slow to catch on.
The game isn't fun when you can just YOLO a card that auto-wins if it doesn't die right away. This makes Priest a problem because they can just drop Lyra and maybe you kill it, maybe you lose right away.
It's just shitty. It's a fun card but it's too clunky in design and frustrating to play against.
I'm done with this game until they nerf/rotate out Innervate or nerf Ultimate Infestation. And just look at all the skilless tryharders playing jade druid. Blizzard fucked up once against how the hell they even released Ultimate Infestation? Idiots can't even count how much value it provides? what 20 mana for a 10 mana spell that can be played while having 5/6 mana? Nice job blizz. What developer said it is not that good?
She can also screw you pretty hard too though but yes this happens a lot. I do agree in general with this, the one I hate is turn 1 druid, innovate into fledgling. have shadow word pain or concede at that point
Well I had the best game ever. Was facing renolock with my quest priest and he had no reno and was 2 hp ony me from 1 attack away from lethal....I was 30 hp 5 armor DK priest.....and my internet broke cause of the phones app updates that were running......so the enemy won....HE DIDNT FUCKING CONCEDE. AND I COULDNT GET BACK TO THE GAME ANYMORE IT JUST SAID RECONNECTING
I threw out Curious Glimmerroot against a Paladin and a Truesilver came up as one of the choices! Easy pick as what Paladin DOESN'T run Truesilver! WRONG! It was Lay On Hands, turns out this Paladin runs a bunch of garbage weapons instead.
I threw out Curious Glimmerroot against a fellow Priest. Shadow Word Death and Mind Control came up as choices. Went with Death as I don't come across Mind Control all that often in Wild. Sadly it was Mind Control, I later learned that this Greedy fuckwad runs dual Mind Controls as I got hit with both of them as the game went into the later rounds.
I mean that's how they designed the game. Whoever is ahead snowballs by getting more and more ahead, which replicate MTG's dismal "mana screw" mechanic and favors aggro. And then you can ignore minions if they don't have taunt, which again massively favors aggro. They sort of caught on to this ( after like 3 years, they're not smart ) and stopped making charge minions and they try to make more defensive taunts, so that's decent.
Tar Creeper is a great card for example. It's very strong defensively but it can't be used to push a board advantage and to snowball.
They designed themselves into a corner by letting minions trade. Either you make it about value, which results in shitty mana screw situation every single game for whichever player is behind on turn 3-4, or they don't make it about value, which results in aggro and bursting strategies.
The only alternative is to make overpowered board clears which, again, are extremely unfun. It forces the aggro player to rush into it and then the game is all about a coin toss, just like it was with Reno.
I kind of like the latest set but the game is severly lacking in interactivity. It's simply too hard to deal with things and too easy to snowball any minor advantage into a crushing win.

I have never lost so many fucking games at the start of an expansion... I just can't fucking win any games this xpac...

New meta: Play any class but priest/mage = auto concede.
Jade druid massacre or hyper emote spamming aggro users. Choose your poison. Lol

So priest vs priest are normally meant to be crazy fun control matches......NOPE!
It was just one lucky Deathrattle priest stealing My n'zoth and deathgripping my Winconditions from the litchking.
and then there was me...who had 6/7 of my deathrattle minions in my last 15 cards.
Seems fun, fair and interesting.
whats a joke.
