You're wrong, and I don't really have the time to type out a well thought out post on all the reasons as to why you're wrong. But i'm just going to say you're posting from a place of ignorance and clearly just because it's never happened to you means we're all a bunch of unaware assholes that can't handle simple tasks. But here's a thought one of these days when you as a human make a mistake. I really hope you are as hard on yourself as you are on others. In fact I am sure it will be a SIMPLE mistake and I hope you're mocked for it. Then when you go to do that task again I hope nothing was done to avoid that SIMPLE mistake again and you fuck it up again.
It's not about people being unaware or lesser then you oh great beacon of humanity. It's about muscle memory more then anything. For over a year blizzard had the system sat up in such a way that you would hit the shop, click buy and be done. This was a streamlined way for the player to get in and get out with little trouble. The way they have it now, works against the muscle memory and is counter intuitive. It's not really all that uncommon for this to trip people up. Even the Pro players have done it. And I would say they are MILES more aware then you are. Their attention to detail and the like is what makes them a pro and you just a random guy on a forum talking down to others. Yet they make the same mistake. So that's just a little bit of why you're wrong.
How about you spend less time writing these long, impotent, indignant, tirades and more time concentrating. This could happen to someone exactly once. After that you should experience a pervasive sense of dread when you open up the shop. If I did make this mistake I wouldn't run to the forums with demands. I'd frankly be too embarrassed as you should be.
You see, there is a simple way around this confusion. You can easily counter the setup and buy the correct pack every time by not being a completely empty-headed dipshit. Sorry if I offended anyone, but SERIOUSLY, the GVG pack has freaking GEARS on it. It's kind of obvious.
I always make purchases without looking at what I'm buying. It's more fun that way. Blizzard should definitely hold your hand through the process and ask you at least 5x's if you're sure you know what you're about to do. That's how most of society works anyways, gotta dumb everything down for the simple minded.

No reason to get mean, mate. But just because it's possible to be more observant doesn't mean it's a good idea. I mean, why do we need traffic lights? Those damn kids can just look before they cross the street!
No the point is that a programmer has to have the "completely empty-headed dipshit" in mind when they design a piece of software. That's a fundamental philosophy in all designs, from cars, over planes to software and websites. A good design is a design were a 5 year old, high on meth and crack still can operate everything. Because, I know it's a crazy idea but more often then not people are not focused on one thing.
Sometimes they are busy cleaning up coffee from the table because that cute cat video was so funny. Sometimes they have a kid next to them who demands attention for his ugly ass picture he just drew. Sometimes you are in a hurry, sometimes you are on the phone with the girl you want to have sex with but never will because she only want's to copy your notes from university since she's to busy to come to the classes because she fucks another guy.
People multi task. All the time. Is that design choice from Blizzard worse than Hitler? No. Is it bad? Yes. That's the only point. One line of code and thousands people wouldn't have bought the wrong packs and less salt would have been spilled.

Sure, blizzard could make this absolutely idiot proof. But then we would miss out on the illuminating post reactions and histrionics. Everyone makes mistakes it's true. But how someone reacts to it is telling. Blizzard is performing a public service in revealing the inability of many people to own a mistake and seek to prevent its future occurrence. We get these elaborate and hysterical deflections. Blizzard is willing these guys to self knowledge. The card game aspect is incidental.
So you say it's a planed secret character study or a social experiment? I bet the Illuminati and facebook are behind it!
Well it's certainly more plausible than Blizzard wanting to take your money away by making you purchase wrong packs! :D
I think it's a mistake you can make, but if that happens once, you should learn to not make it again. You may miss lethal one game, once you realise your mistake, you learn and become more thoughtful and better player. It's the same thing here. You buy the wrong packs once, you learn how the shop works for the next time.
Shop design alternatives can be thought as well, but there will be other people that make other mistakes as well.
Clumsy buyers will stay clumsy even after they patch the shop...
How about we talk about real problems, huh?
Like adding a goddamn "Clear deck" button in the deck builder, instead of removing cards one by one each time you change it.
Or a collection tracker, to check what you're missing. Better yet, how about fixing the secrets' latency?
Buying the wrong pack is entirely the player's fault, but the lack of features is Blizzard's domain.
You are right. This is all stuff that they could add, just like they could add better design in the shop. But the same argument that you make that people who mess up buying packs are clumsy or to lazy to read could be used with the features you suggested. Why add a clear deck button when you can click delete deck and then new deck and choose the same hero? Lazy players will always be lazy players and complain about clearing out a deck! or Why add a collection tracer if you go to craft on your collection screen all the cards you need will be clearly shown in blue?
All I'm saying is look down on the people that want the shop interface changed but then understand stuff you want changed may be seen as just as stupid.

Why get water from the tap or a bottle if you can walk one mile to the next well?

I'm sorry you are so upset, but honestly it is this kind of stuff that makes me think Blizzard may be right with their reasoning for not adding more deck slots. If you come to a third party forum to make demands after a lazy mistake you made, then I think CarrL said it best: don't be an empty headed dipshit.
Human mistakes of course will happen, but what separates people is how they move on from that. Some people learn and better themselves, while some rage and look for someone to blame. I guess you can think about which you would rather be.

So now reading and comprehension is a short coming you show. I am not making demands. I gave suggestions as to how it could be fixed. It was more of a vent and not a "OMG GIVE ME THIS NOW OR I'LL SUE!!!!". But I wouldn't expect someone such as yourself who feels superior when he talks down to people to grasp what has been said in this thread. You go straight for the putting people down to feel better then others.
I think you need to excuse yourself from any thread you can't be a decent person on. Seriously your negative input doesn't contribute to conversations nor does it make people think more of you.

Secondly, this is a terrible analogy. I don't think I need to go into detail why these are not the same things. smh...
I hope that you can find the irony in your last post. I doubt it, but I hope so.
You clicked the wrong button and feel bad. Now you sound like a petulant, foot-stomping child and apparently chose the second option in my previous post. You'll probably respond to this with some more rage, and that's alright. Just try to remember that this is a free to play online card game and not real life. Maybe take a few deep breaths and count to ten. You'll live longer.
Honestly while new packs being on top of the shop list might be a good QoL change, an even better change would be people taking 1 extra second to check if they are doing the right thing, its quick, painless(hopefully) and saves you from the trouble.
How about you spend less time writing these long, impotent, indignant, tirades and more time concentrating. This could happen to someone exactly once. After that you should experience a pervasive sense of dread when you open up the shop. If I did make this mistake I wouldn't run to the forums with demands.
