I don't understand people that justify themselves with "Oh sorry my baby needs milk" or "Oh I had to go to the bathroom".
Why don't you do that stuff in your own time? Why don't you do it before you start the game ? Why do you presume that your time is more important than others ?
This is not an excuse, it's egotistical, self-centered and you can't sugar coat it. Your time is not more important than mine just like my time isn't more important than yours. Play the damn game and end turn.
They are using their time. They're alloted 90 seconds per turn. Your post seems far more egotistical and self-centered than someone unexpectedly needing to get their baby a bottle.
One time my friend was talking to me and I thought I ended the turn but didn't. Some people just pop in a game and sometime it collides with other actions. I just really hate when people do it every turn to see if you have to go in the middle of a game.

Just making those annoying decks that ruin the other players lives. Taunt Deck, Heal Deck, Divine Shield Deck, Windfury Deck, and of course Freeze Decks. WHY DO I KEEP LOOSING!
Ill only use my whole turn in 2 instances, 1. I genuinely have a difficult play and I really need to work out what to do. 2. when someone is playing net decked bulls**t like zoo and they clearly want to win quickly no matter what even if it mean playing a broken scum deck, in that instance i find slowing the game down really annoys the opponent to the point it can make them tilt and make the minor misplays that allow none scum bag decks to catch up
So, basically, you're saying you will behave in a completely inexcusable unsportsmanlike fashion whenever you damn well feel like it?
Glad to see "Region: EU" under your avatar, means I'll never have the misfortune of playing you and having to hope you don't deem my choice of cards to be a "scum bag deck".
If the opponent wants to play in an'unsportsmanlike fashion' as you say by using a scum bag deck to get to legend with little to no skill then yes I'll retaliate, and use all aspect of the game to my advantage, including mind games to overcome the odds. However if someone plays genuinely is a better player than me or even gives me a great game i'll treat them with the respect they've earned fro me
Absolutely unbelievable. Can you even hear yourself? No wonder so many people have a problem with rampant BM in Hearthstone, if people can manage to not only behave in such a fashion, but actually believe that they are being reasonable human beings whilst doing so.

This post isn't about people using their 90 seconds per turn. It's about using their turn to perform actions non related to the game. How you find it acceptable to waste other people's time because you want to play while watching youtube or browsing the forums is egotistical. If you're that bored that you need to do other stuff while playing the game then maybe just take a break.
What you're complaining about is the reality of multiplayer gaming. Your expectations are unreasonable.
Most of the time I'm playing I'm watching my hyperactive, autistic 7 year old.
If they are rope burning every turn they are probably doing it on purpose (or seriously feel as though they need the entire time to think). If it's just a few turns it may be like me where they are attending to RL things and running back and forth. I've whiffed the end turn button and run off for 2 or 3 minutes quite a few times. I've also sat there right in front of the screen thinking that the person is taking forever and it's not until that rope pops up that I realize I forgot to hit the button.

I'm playing this game specifically because I can pickup and go as needed. If I could commit my attention 100% to the game I probably would be playing something else. If that's too tough for you than I wouldn't play a turn based game if I were you. The real egotistical statement is thinking that I should structure my gameplay to better convenience you.
hilarious. if people get enraged because my turns are taking too long, then i have successfully gained some advantage if that somewhat clouds my opponent's judgment or decides to rage quit (unlikely)
It's one thing if players are genuinely thinking about the best decision to make, but it's another thing entirely when people are deliberately slow-rolling and BM'ing. The best thing you can do is squelch, and play courtesouly yourself in order to try and propagate a respectful play envrionment.

My expectations are unreasonable ? If you were playing a chess match would you get off your chair every time it's your turn ?
I totally understand what your saying.
Going to the bathroom during a Chess match, stopping to answer a call before playing your word in Scrabble, or watching YouTube on your phone instead of taking your turn during Bowling...
While you can excuse the action depending on the length, frequency, and your relation to the person doing it, it doesn't change the fact that it's pretty rude to do. Even though these are all *gasp* turn based games.
Unfortunately, this generation seems to think the Internet allows you to act completely different then you would in real life. So all of a sudden, in an Online Game game it's completely fine to "do whatever you want, the rules allow it." They seem to think (judging from the opposition towards your comment) that we are the ones being self-centered by wanting to feel the same respect online as we would in real life.
When I meet players who repeatedly go to rope without valid reason, I deliberately rope each and every turn as well. Usually those players will then start taking their turns much more quickly.

Couldn't agree more, I think they get the memo when the tables are turned and speed up.

90 seconds is 90 seconds. It doesn't matter if it's to come up with the best play eva or to ask Mom to make more Hot Pockets or to explain your plays to your stream viewers. If 90 seconds is too long to wait for a bad play or even a no play it's too long to wait for a thought-out play. If not, it's not a matter of wasting time, but a matter of how you assume someone else if using their time. And if that's the case - all the fuss is over an ego of unverifiable assumption.
Yeah - it's rude to prolong a game. It's also egotistical to hold everyone to a standard of how they are allowed to use their 90 seconds while allowing themselves up to 90 seconds to decide how to play their cards. There really is no difference except the perceptions in your head.
Personally, I find BM much more prevalent and more malicious - but (like roping) is the reality of the public environment.
I can't believe that this stalling is still going on. This early in a new expansion, people are trying to either work their way up the ladder or get cards, yet there's still this contingent that feels the need to stall, from Turn 1. It serves no purpose.

My solution is game turn lengths are dependent on whether its early, mid or late game:
Turns 1-3 - 30 seconds
Turns 4-6 - 60 seconds
Turns 7+ 120 seconds

Planetslick calling others unsportsmanlike made my evening.
