This is for science! I would like to know which one the majority of the viewers on this thread believe is more annoying, The colossal amount of RnG in Hearthstone, or the looong boooring matches that just take forever and got to fatigue.
I like fatigue games... Makes a nice change from games decided on turn 1-2. As for rng it can get annoying at times but it's a game and it can also be pretty hilarious.
I actually welcome fatigue games simply because it represents a refreshing change of pace from the usual matchups where the game is over well before turn 10. Fatigue games actually require you to strategise and calculate your health totals carefully. My proudest achievement was fatiguing a Priest to death using an aggro Hunter deck.
RNG, on the other hand, has no relation to skill and sucks, unless you are the beneficiary of it.
Rng is a part of the game... frustrating or awsome results have been magnified lately, but RNG in some form is just part of all card games.
The games that bother me is when both people are topdecking & the board is clear or almost. The first one who draws something decent wins. That's RNG too.
But, that kind of thing is present in all card games. Even just "cut the deck & high card wins".

Well... I hate RNG when it screws me over & I love it when it works for me... does that make me fickle? :D
Yeah, fatigue kills are a bummer, but sometimes when your opponent does kind of dumb things, they can be a "teaching momemt" as well.
Teaching things like "don't be too greedy with setting up card draw mechanisms"... Late in game, don't get stuck with 2 clerics enthusiastically bringing on armageddon.
Or, with Warlocks & life tapping, make sure you have a deck that will give you an early kill, because every time you hit that "gimme card" button, you're bringing on fatigue just one turn quicker. It can be a toss up whether low health from tapping or fatigue burn is the actual cause of death.
Does RNG in this poll mean losing the game in first 3 turns to a hunter with double undertaker and leper gnome combo?
Because bad card draw RNG is just part of any card game just as it's sitting on your chair for 15 minutes before losing to fatigue and realizing you could concede and not waste 15 minutes.
I hate fatigue kills because it actually makes you feel like you just wasted your whole effor for nothing while your opponent didn't even try to attack you but just answered your every move and waited for that exact moment. RNG is RNG, you can't hate it because then you have to love it as well. It helps you just as many times as it screws you over.

Yes RnG in this thread can be card draw. In fact, anything in Hearthstone that has multiple outcomes that cannot be controlled by either player should, I believe, be considered RnG for the sake of this discussion. Of course, you are free to consider it whatever you wish.

Win or lose, when extreme RNG happens, I feel cheated out of a good game. Just me?
This is statement is false.
I prefer going to fatigue than losing on turn 4 because of some brain dead aggro deck. That good ol control v control match up is what I live for.

Playing against facehunter.
