Sure, but if Hearthstone run on a android tablet, and you save $400 while doing so and use that extra money to buy cards, I'm sure the Android guy will have more fun than you! ;)
Or I can just buy an iPad and as many packs as I want anyways. It's called having a well-paid job to cover your hobbies.
I think in the case of Hearthstone, you mean addiction.

Must, open, another, pack. . .
im addicted to opening packs too! but i dont do it much. not because i cant afford it, i have a pretty decent job and so does my wife, i could easily drop $200/month financially. the problem is my wife would KILL me if i did! haha
In my opinion. Do NOT buy it on the ipad mini. (I know you said Android but I still had to say it.) Do you have an Android phone? There is a thread outlining how to install it on an Android phone. I did it last night. WORKED AMAZINGLY! Otherwise I'd recommend the galaxy tablets. Bought one for my dad last year works great.
If you have the money, Ipads are pretty great. They are extremely reliable, have a huge library of software available and almost no compatibility issues to other Ipads. (If something works on one ipad it will work on the next one.)
You pay a ton more for it though. If you want to fiddle with a device and don't mind troubleshooting it when issues happen, it is not for you.

Ah yes, I just don't tell my wife. :-D Actually, I do, but I always say, "Well, I could have a more expensive hobby", though it's not anywhere near 200 dollars a month.

If one were to look hard enough, they could get a 64 GB iPad air for only about 6 or 10 dollars more than a Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. This is an unfair comparison because that's comparing the prev gen iPad to the latest gen Kindle, but the iPad Air would run Hearthstone without any issues at all.
If I were you I'd save up and get an iPad mini. Hearthstone runs very smoothly on iPad and I've been hearing reports of bugs on android tablets. Also buying a tablet just for hearthstone is expensive. With an iPad mini you have access to 1000s of great apps on a great device. I feel like a cheap android tablet could let you down.

Do you have a good reason for why he should buy an iPad mini? I dont deny they are expensive but for me playing hearthstone on my iPad mini retina 2 has been a complete joy and I'd recomend stumping up some extra cash for it over a cheap android tablet any day.

If you were in the UK, you could get a Tesco Hudl 2, which runs Hearthstone very well.
I don't relish the idea of spending £170 on an IPad Mini which has a 1024x768 resolution when you can get a Hudl 2 for £129 which has a 1920x1200 resolution and a larger display (8.3" vs 7.9")... And, like I said, Hudl 2 runs Hearthstone very well.
Android can be slightly cheaper then Ipad Mini, but with Apple you never have to worry about compatibility etc, they all have the same hardware so the developers can optimize stuff much more.
My gf is also always complaining about stuff coming for apple and not for android.
You may want to check for deals with mobile phone operators btw, you can get some nice hardware on top of a 3g connection that you may need for work, university or whatever.

Hopefully, and most likely, you are some prepubescent kid with acne trying to make himself feel better by belittling others on the internet and not an adult with this well-paying job you speak of. If the latter is actually true- people like you disgust me. Your pretentious, condescending, self-righteous comments are a prime example of what's really wrong with our society.
I run it on a Nexus 7. It is ok. A bit laggy but you can play. Just have low expectations. It should be in your price range. Be sure and get the gen 2 model (2013).
So, my goal is to buy a tablet that's SOLE purpose will be two things:
A)Play Hearthstone
B)Stream WWE Network.
I want the biggest screen possible and the lowest cost. Other than that, don't care about anything else except price. Really have 0 desire to spend more than $100, and I'd really like to get as low as I can.
Can anybody vouch for a tablet that's around that level?
I use a Kindle Fire HDX 7 and Hearthstone runs flawlessly. My wife has the Fire HD 7, and while she doesn't play Hearthstone all that often, it seems to run smoothly on it as well. The HDX 7 runs a bit under $200, the HD 7 just over $100 (although you can pick them up for less occasionally... we got my wife's on "Prime Day" for $79.00).

got a free Nexus 7 for setting up my google fiber last year (Woot! KC ftw!). its super laggy in the menus but runs fine in game.
that being said it's pretty small. i think i might be with that guy who said the 8.4" is the sweet spot.

I really want Pirates to be a playable theme.

One thing I like about playing on an iPad is that the swipe marks from your fingers look like a Christmas tree. Good for the holidays :)

20K G's saved up every new expansion.

My comments refer mostly to the wild format.

i have no idea what issues you are talking about, i play on a lg gpad , 229 euros, runs just fine, never crashed, never had any sort of bugs.

Should run flawlessly, it even runs on the older one. Latest versions of HS run smooth even on my cheap acer 7" (b1-730hd).
