Now that it is available on android tablet, what are some good options if I want to buy a tablet just to have a hearthstone machine for cheap. Not talking bargain basement Walmart stuff, but like in the under 200 dollar range? Ive seen a number of Galaxy 3 models, the Asus Memo Pad, and a few other random tablets but have not had any experience with them to know which is "the best."
So if I want a dedicated Hearthstone Android Tablet, what way should I go?
Sure, but if Hearthstone run on a android tablet, and you save $400 while doing so and use that extra money to buy cards, I'm sure the Android guy will have more fun than you! ;)
I happened to get a Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4" when it hit $199 on Black Friday which is one of the "specifically supported" Android tablets for hearthstone. Lucky me. I actually love it a lot (I upgraded from an old generation Nexus 7) and IMO 8.4" is perfect for a portable tablet. 7" was a bit too small but I find 10" more difficult to comfortably hold and conveniently transport in a small bag or large pocket. It's $229 and I've played on it for about 1/2 hour so far, the main menu lags and I'm not sure if that's processing power or software issues but the game itself runs flawlessly.
That being said, those new super-HD amoled screens on models like the Tab S are gorgeous. You basically can't even tell you're looking at a screen with pixels anymore, which makes card edges and spell effects look almost eerily 'real'. It's a good $200 more but it's worth every penny, if you happen to have that many pennies to spare.
But yeah, Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is $230 or less in your price range.
I'm using this. It's a Windows tablet, runs the desktop version of Hearthstone perfectly fine with no issues.
If you're holding out for Android though, I would recommend waiting a bit for the bugs to get ironed out. I've heard there are a few issues at the moment.
I was already considering getting a new tablet before the HS Android launch. I'm an Android user & what bugs there are haven't bothered me enough to interfere with my enjoyment/usage of tablets & phones.
Anyway, I'm a big ebook downloader & love to read in bed without being tied to a PC or squinching to read text on my smartphone (not to mention the memory limits on phones) (I did indicate I downloaded a lot)
So tablets are great in my books. I want to get another 10" screen, because it makes everything easier.
Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that a Samsung 10.1 tablet is probably the best for my usage & the constraints I have money-wise. I've seen adds from Best Buy that offer them for around $230.00. I'd love to find something as good for cheaper, but it seems like a pretty decent price for what you get.

Or I can just buy an iPad and as many packs as I want anyways. It's called having a well-paid job to cover your hobbies.
Fantastic, but unless you're ready to offer the OP a well-paid job at your company then suggesting a 'solution' 5x his budget is a tad counterproductive, not to mention bragging about how you can drop a grand on a card game in a thread about finding a budget <$200 tablet is a pretty asshole move. But hey, congrats on the job
Kindle Fire HDX 7" - I'll be playing more on it, but it's on the list of tablets other people find good. Kindles are solid tablets - even if the app store doesn't normally have as much good stuff on it. (With Hearthstone, that certainly changed!) and it's inexpensive because, as someone said, Amazon subsidizes it considerably.
Plus, comes with a month of Prime. Worth it. I've been considering the subscription to Prime for all it gives, but hey, even a month of free shipping from Amazon is good =)

I have a Google Nexus 7 (the second generation of it) that runs the game pretty well. It was about $200 new. There's a new nexus 8 or 9 (don't remember) out now, so you could probably get the Nexus 7 for a decent price. There's a first generation Nexus 7 that isn't as powerful, so I'd avoid that one.
Haven't got one yet, but I decided that was my choice too.
I've had generally good experience with Samsung stuff. I have the Samsung Galaxy 3 (how quickly they change) smartphone & it generally works well, except the virtual keyboard buttons are quite small. I've sent some strange texts :D

Well never played hearthstone on PC, playing since beta on ipad, and almost no bugs or stuff like that, some slowdowns, but nothing more, resolution is perfect, feel is great, can't complain ya know.
Not diss-ing IPad in the least... just some of us don't have that much cash to easily drop. While I can swing $200 - $250 without going on a Ramen noodle diet, the cost of an larger IPad would definately mean I'd be cutting back on something else.

Well i'm not too rich either, but in my opinion if you're new to tablets, you'll find out how good they are, thus you'll be using em for more than just hearthstone, that's where your kindle or samsung will be sort of... nah, but if you have a good phone with large enough screen then yeah, it maybe enough to buy just a 200$ tablet, and it's not gonna hurt.

tablet has a lot of bugs, android and iPad...
You may want to check that thread in the next few days. Most tablets in the laggy section are only laggy in the menu and play Hearthstone fine. http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/15538646265
The list will be much longer soon.
I'd buy a Surface ;)
Kindle Fire would be worth a try. Those are heavily subsidized by amazon and from the hardware fairly strong. I would google for that.

if you dont want to spend a ton of money you could always use the remote desktop app for your phone
