Hey guys, question about preparing for a new expansion. I have a couple of working decks already (2-3) and I wanted to know how can I prepare for the next expansion? I already have Gold for the SC miniset, but I was wondering how in terms of card/Gold/whatever I need to kick off when the Emerald Dream kicks in
Depends if you’re free to play or not and whether or not you’ve bought gold mini sets. Gold mini sets will always yield better value dust wise than specifically buying packs.
I usually save up dust from these methods to ensure I can craft some legendaries when it hits as well as the pre order with signature. Never usually find myself wanting for bit. I play a lot of wild too. They give away so many free packs/cards now too and there’s a huge variety of decks/classes you can play. It’s not like 7 years ago when only 2-3 classes were good at one time.
Same yeah I hope they do more flash sales going forward they’re great. I’ve had a couple of 1 legendary for 99p. It’s a great way to reward players without really affecting their economy plus the good will it made me feel I bought something else.
I used to save my Tavern Brawl standard packs but Blizzard turned them into current expansion packs. So now I get cheap dust each week instead of saving them for future expansions.
If you have no plans of playing wild, I would dust the Festival of legends, Titans, and Badlands cards.
I assume there will be drop events for a few packs. Check into a stream for awhile so you get rewards for watching a big name hearthstone streamer.
Also I recommend at best saving your quests if you can for that day. Don't complete your weekly quests and try to save 3 dailies if you can. It takes a lot of experience to move up in the current reward track for a meh reward. Save those quests and youll probably hit level 12 at least on your new reward track just because you saved those quests for a quick boost. There will be a lot of rewards there. I also recommend re-rolling signature cards and whatnot. Yes they are pretty... but so is having ALL the cards.

This is actually a very good change for people that don't want to spend gold/money on mini sets
Just save those packs until the mini set releases and then open them, if you already have a decent collection in the current expansion, there is a high chance of getting mini set cards thanks to no-duplicate rules
The "meta" way to handle expansions is to hold onto your Gold until day of expansion drop, then begin saving for the next one. This way, you can start the new expansion with a lot of packs for free, giving you (usually) all the Commons+Rares, a usable amount of Epics, and a few Legendaries. The only thing you should buy other than packs are Mini-sets.
A common strategy is to hold onto Standard and Class packs until expansion day as well. If you own the majority/all old expansion cards, Duplicate Protection will work in your favor and give you new cards.

u start saving up gold after 2-3 weeks after a new exp. Dont buy mini set , just craft the cards u want
