I'm not completely serious with the title, but rogue is the most underrepresented class in this expansion and has been for some time now, mainly because it fails to compete. So instead of boosting a few rogue cards they give us this cool new rogue skin instead? xD
I realize they are trying to distribute the skins evenly and that they don't really care if people play rogue or not, but they can't let it die completely either.
I don't understand this post. Are you equating Rogue skins to Rogues viability? There's no comparison there since they're separate teams. If you're talking about Rogue being weak or strong, Shaffar Rogue has had amazing play patterns, so Rogue isn't weak at all
I don't think I understand what you're on about? They could care less which class you play and instead what you pay. They're more about making money than using skins to force you to play a class. I purchased the Ragnaros skin that works for both Warrior and Shaman but I don't play them any more than I usually do. Its just a skin.

What world are you from? It could be coincidence but I haven't even encountered this Shaffar Rogue in ranked. Rogue is at the bottom on HSReplay and not even present on Meta Stats http://metastats.net/. The part about the skin was a joke, although far-fetched. I don't expect people to understand.
I had a look at Shaffar Rogue and it looks interesting, but the fact that it depends on one card makes it inconsistent, which is probably why it's an off-meta deck. Difficult to play but once you get it rolling it can be amazing(assuming only tempo-wise). It also has no late game value and any Reno deck would shrug it off as a minor nuisance.
Considering that Rogue has extremely reliable and excellent card draw, it's one of the few classes that can get away with relying on specific minion strategies. It also doesn't really need a late game when the goal of the deck is to 2tk or otk your opponent with overwhelming minions and charge consistently early.
Additionally, I wouldn't equate experience on ladder to deck viability. There have been many cases of unpopular but strong decks in the past, and Rogue is one of the more difficult classes to play so it makes sense that it hasn't caught on yet
Both Sonya and Spellburst Rogue are somewhat viable but not very strong (tier 2/3 at legend, tier 4 below). Rogue is bad in this meta, no doubt, but with new set this might change. Also it is not the first time when new skins for a class are available when it is not too strong.
