Willing to hear your opinion on topic title. I'm playing since 2021, and hit legend last season because I was free from work and I had a lot of free time. As you know, you only getting one legendary first time hitting the legend rank and 5 packs at the end of season. Beside that, next time you will hit it, no legendary will be granded.
I always playing util diamond 5 then I'm starting to play fun / meme decks. In Diamond 5 you will get 4 ( not 5 packs ) and one epic card.
If it's a difficult grind and you have to spend more time than you would playing the game to get it each month then no definitely not worth it. I've been legend multiple times and some times I've breezed to it barely losing a game others have been a slog so just depends what you're playing at the time. I always focus on the enjoyment. If I'm not enjoying the game I simply don't play. The slog is often when I barely reach legend on final day of month with back and forward results but I've never focused additional game time just to hit that silly milestone.
My monthly goal is Diamond 5. Oh sure, I've reached Legend every now and then; but I agree, the grind can be too much. Especially by someone like me who never, ever copies a deck and ignores the meta.

It never really felt like a grind to me, more like an inevitability. Play several games a day, maintain a positive win rate and legend just happens. I usually hit legend about 10 days into the month on average.

Competitive is on life support, so unless you plan to finish top 100 there's literally no point in ladder grinding. Other than earning an extra pack or epic, whichever it was, not much reason to grind past diamond5

Yes! That's why i play only fun/interesting decks and I avoid like a plague these tier S decks that everyone plays like the pre-nerfed reno warrior. I would die of boredom.

Some people like to grind out every month because they like the challenge of a higher finish. But for the most part I'd say it's not really worth it. I also tend to climb to Diamond rank, but I'll even stop at D10 because one epic isn't really that big of a deal. Once I reach D10 I don't necessarily play "meme" decks, but I do experiment with off-meta builds or updated versions of old decks I used to play. If I'm playing something fun that just happens to get me there, great! That's pretty much how I've gotten there each of the few times I have done it: by accident!
I'm interested in trying out the new Bomb cards in a Wild Bomb Warrior build. Just need to find time to work out what I want it to look like. Maybe it'll even be a meme deck in the end, lol!
I hit legend once back in Ungoro expansion - that was it for me - I just play ranked for weekly and dailies now and enjoy it more that way - also I play alot of arena and battlegrounds since those are the formats I like most.

PS: No salt topic. Just want to hear opinion(s).

I've got Legend a few times, to prove to myself that I could. Beyond that, there's no reason to put in the grind.
I'm not a massively competitive player and so I find the ladder to be zero fun. I mean, what kind of bumhead enjoys playing Dew Process?
It gets easier later in the month.

If you hit legend once, no reason to do it again.
Just play casually to d5 and call it a day.
