“Game dead” is without a doubt the cringiest statement about gaming ever conceived. “Game dead” translates to “I’m not enjoying myself personally” in literally 99% of cases that it’s stated, but to the person saying it, doesn’t belittle the game enough.
It radiates big “I’m not having fun so others shouldn’t either” energy, and it’s just some massive cringe.
Games ten years old bro. Most games are dead at that point haha. This one is more alive then other ten year old titles.
Games can be "dead", in the sense that online games can either be out of players or their servers shut down. To some, a (live service) game may already be dead when it will no longer see any updates.
Of course, that's not the point here, but while throwing it around as a complaint about the state of the metagame is indeed trite, the statement itself can be perfectly adequate in some cases.
Come take a swim on the wild side. The water is just fine! There is a lot of fun decks with badlands cards and the new set is going to open up a lot of new ones too.
Standard kinda sucks in general. I'm not sure why folks didn't play Duels more. It was 100X more fun than standard. I guess people prefer to climb ranks than to have fun.
Also implies he doesn't know how to have fun for himself, instead he blames the creators to be responsible, typically whining. Unfortunately thats what the developers listen to. But he has a point Warrior is not fun, so are all unfun abilities and destroying your opponents cards is a big not fun part that ruins the game or constant discoveries. But with the crazy evolution of overpowered cards the next exp. is unlikely to be better. Seriously is the powerlevel between standard and wild so different these days?
Duels was just TOO far out there for me you know? Standard is a lot easier for me to calculate and control my moves and possible outcomes. Duels I never knew what I would get. It required more luck than standard did for getting the best choices. I like Battlegrounds because of the no need for a card library but im never excited when they introduce a random factor such as quests. I do think Standard is stinky this go around. I don't understand the decks/plays I am seeing at Diamond 4 today. It seems irregular. Like someone who doesnt know what theyre doing but also using the basic cards.

His statement about the opponents are not wrong though. I meet mostly Deathknights myself and quit playing after days full of the same matches. It get's boring very, very quickly.
I'll be back after the expansion. Hope things will be a bit different then.
Haha yeah that's him. How sad do you have to be to have uninstalled battlenet but you keep coming to a forum for that game specifically.
