I play triple blood and get pretty much smacked by everyone but it's a new class and I have patience that during the next rotation they'll be more formidable in some matchups.
I think it's because Blood DK can actually deal with a Turn 2 Deathwing/Thaddius with either Obliterate or Asphyxiate. This means that they have a good chance of winning against the highroll Evolve Shaman decks which can end games really early or just continue making huge threats later in the game.
The most popular decks after the expansion are evolve shaman and unholy DK. Blood DK beats both of them handily. It loses badly to phylactery warlock though. People are playing blood DK because it’s actually good, it’s the scissors to shaman’s paper and phylactery warlock’s rock
According to HSR, it loses to pretty much everything.
Am I missing something?
Most of my opponents are playing this list.
i have over 80% wr in standard with triple blood bk..wtf are you talking about. And thats without Alistair or denarius.

The other reason is that some folks like to play Control so that they can play some cool cards like Rivendare, Warrider or Lor'themar Theron.
Those are some reasons that I can think of that would explain why people like playing Blood DK (myself included).
Was friends with Paladin, now Death Knights are my homies.
lol if youre playing triple blood and its not control, youre playing it wrong. That triple blood 7 drop with bran and the naga copy 3 drop.

Many people enjoy attrition style control decks and it's a new class. Seems kind of obvious.
The current meta has improved it's win rate too (e.g. Evolve Shaman).

It feels good to shard a 50hp DK with quest priest
It feels even better to Patchwerk my opponent's Xyrella, the Sanctified!
What if I Mutanus Patchwerk first?
That's okay: I generated a couple others from Hematurge!!
Tough luck, pal, they've been Plaguespreadered
imagine enjoying playing hearthstone...
Imagine playing something you are not enjoying.
