There is more than just « russian bots ». I have encountered a lot of official bots lately. They play as soon as possible, and have name that are made of an adjective and a name (ex: DirtyRat).
they don’t play so well, and thanks to the core rotation, they have now cards in their deck from the next coreset.
Unfortunately, that’s not very substantial evidence regarding bots getting banned but I hope you’re right. What’s even more amazing is that aggro bots reach diamond. That’s just weird.
The bots got a lot worse when Blizzard shut down its Chinese sevors. China has a massive bot farm problem and when they got locked out of Chinese servors they put them in the rest or worlds servors. It seems kinda messed up, but maybe you just have to ban Chinese accoutns, but with VPNs I'm not sure they'd be able to tell, unfortunately the bot farms are always gona be one step ahead of the bot detection and removal.
I keep facing these bots and they have WILD legendarys in STANDARD??? I just faced a warrior with Dr boom , ragnaros etc in standard. what is going on?
I don't understand why there's no algorithm set in place to autoban. No human can repeat the same action at the exact same time interval. You set something up so that if something is the same action is repeated x times in a row = ban. It's that simple. How could a hacker circumvent this?

Circumventing that would be easy to implement a simple randomisation when it comes to the delay before acting. It just becomes a "cold war" of sorts.
At lower mmr and ranks that could be blizzard bots. They seem to test new cards already or are bugged using them already. You can check by seeing your last opponent. If it won't show up it was a blizzard bot.

I have definitely been seeing a mix of Bot names now. Some with the "<adjective><noun>" format, and then others with russian lettering, etc. Could be Blizzard bots as well of course, since I dont know what the russian words actually say! XD
2 kinds of bots. made by Blizzard names like silentstorm, sneakyturtle etc. IE the default battletag names that Blizzard offers. They will play basic cards and not be in high ranks. Point is to give some wins to newer players. Not shown in the recently played lists. If you have very low mmr in legend(say like 15k legend) you might get matched up with them.
2. Player made bots. Random jibberish word names but can be anything as it is in player's control. Will play fast meta decks. names will show after game in recent. Report if you want.
One thing that is worth pointing out (that I am surprised nobody has said so far) - is that Blizzard introduced their own bots into the game to alleviate wait times escalating too high and guarantee players will always have an opponent wherever possible.
Personally, I am much happier to face a bot and know that I am more or less guaranteed a win (barring some terrible RnG) than having to wait an extra 5 or 10 minutes to face a player fielding yet another boring aggro netdeck and inevitable lose.
I have had this happen since yesterday afternoon, about 15 games, all bots with those goofy names, half with random letter, half with Chinese/Japanese characters. I’m in platinum so not sure how this happened.
It is happening on EU too, on low rank (Silver), it is always DK with some ridiculous starting player deck filled with basic cards such as Chillwind Yeti... Honestly, who tf plays that card if not absolutely new player? As mentioned stupid face play, no emote, no logic plays, just play highest cost card and hit face...
once i see a chill yeti you know you a facing a bot. thats a terrible card in 2024 standard. i am a diamond player and i still face a bot from time to time
I can confirm, Blizzard disable accounts for botting.

I'm playing against a Warrior bot right now. I've played against this deck before.
I encounter bots of all the classes, and some of them play cards from Classic that should not be available in Standard right now, like Dr. Boom.
The names can be in Latin or Cyrillic. They usually have two words put together, like "SneakyPirate".

Hey, I have recorded a quick video to show what some of us are facing on standard ladder.
And, I have checked after the duel : they are not listed as previous opponents (so you can't add them or report them).

I didn’t play for a month now I’m running in to so many bots.
