Is unholy DK doomed to be in gold tier for next two expansions? Card draw is one of the frost DK's strengths and im worried about it'll be banned for unholy.
I really like the pure Unholy DK, but all of the cards still seem pretty weak. Plagued Grain is one of my favorite cards, but it feels weak despite the great value you get. Would be nice if the 2/2s had rush or something, or if there were 5 shuffled in instead of just 4. Also, having the undead summoned by Lord Marrowgar each grant a corpse upon death would help a lot.
Anti-Magic Shell, I think, should read "... Only you can target this with spells or hero powers" and some of the 4-health undead should have their HP reduced by 1, so that I can actually get good value from Unholy Frenzy, which works against Anti-Synergy Shell. It just feels bad when Unholy Frenzy only kills one or two of my really weak minions, leaving one of my midrange minions at 1 health, which I would have rather died so I could get a new copy at full health plus that extra corpse. Changing the order of attack of Unholy Frenzy from left-to-right (instead of summoned order) would feel nice, too, or selecting the order you want them to attack somehow.
Also, it feels like Frost and and Blood got the much better deal on 3-rune cards in general when it comes to standard.
Oh wow, its seems like Curse warlocks case. Omg please buff this deck (THIS DECK IS AGGO) OMG HEARTHSTONE HAVE AGGRO META OVER AND OVER AGAIN WTF????? im all-type of decks player so i dont care, but people will cry.
I think Famished Fool is a staple card for Triple Unholy DK decks since it pretty much synergizes with the archetype as well as being an incredibly efficient draw once fully infused for its cost. There's also Chillfallen Baron as well as Discover cards like Nerubian Vizier and Necrotic Mortician to help find more fuel. Basically I think it's already decent enough for draw but the problem lies with Triple Unholy's power being heavily board-based in a meta where other classes can develop threatening boards faster or ignore the DK's board.
I believe that they're planning on encouraging DK to be more mixed in the future since a card like Acolyte of Death seems incredibly redundant in a Triple Frost DK deck but it'd be good in mixed Unholy/Frost Decks.
I'd wait for the Mini-Set to come out to see if there's going to be more support for Unholy or hopefully much more usable neutral DK cards.

The suggestion about anti-magic shell has a significant caveat. If the card lowered the health of any of your minions instead of increasing it, how would it feel to play the card when you don’t have Unholy Frenzy in hand? It would be objectively bad in a lot of cases. Increasing the health of minions with 3 or less health but lowering the stats on minions with 4 health would also be very difficult to convey effectively in the text of the card. One possibility would be to have the card read “give your minions +1 attack and set their health to 3. Only you can target them with spells and hero powers.” but that still seems like a full-on downgrade. I would say the alternative would be to just print better low-health Undead minions with favorable deathrattles or rush.
i am 100% with you on the buff to Plagued Grain and Lord Marrowgar though. To be honest I would love to be able to play test what Death Knight cards felt like before the devs chose to make certain minions not leave corpses. I think at this point it’s clear that they misjudged the power level of the mechanic and that it might not be that big of a deal considering the astounding amount of overpowered garbage that other classes have readily available to them.
I simply meant that some of the minions used by unholy could benefit from having their hp reduced by 1, separate and apart from my suggested buff to anti magic shell. It was in the same sentence, so I can see why you read it that way.
Anti-Magic Shell feels just outdated in general. Your guys keep getting hit by spells cast from the Nagaling's battlecry, they get hit by the Mage hero power from Reckless Apprentice, they can be targeted by Locations which were not a thing when this card originally appeared and there's a lot of untargeted damage going around besides. I wonder if a mechanic of "can only be targeted (or damaged?) by attacks" would be too OP but currently it feels too flimsy.
Unholy Death Knight and every other deck like that need strong (I mean, REALLY strong, e.g. 2 mana 3/5 rush strong) one and two drops. The meta is so fast you need to control the board from the very early stages to threaten lethal with Grave Strength before you die.
Anti-Magic Shell is not at all relevant in this deck and neither buffing Marrowgar will do anything, that card is already strong on its own. Deck needs busted cheap minions. Maybe buffing Grave Strength so that it requires less corpses will have some effect as well.

I've personally always liked the idea of some minions having full-on magic immunity: can't be harmed at all by hero powers or spells (including things like Twisting Nether). But that's mainly because I hate spell-only decks.

New neutrals with card draw effect will help? Idk

Was friends with Paladin, now Death Knights are my homies.

Even Unholy DK is an ok deck. Not T1 but not bad. Went Legend with it at the beginning of this month. (I am about rank 800 at the moment.)

Quasi-stellar radio source
