Do you guys think it's appropriate that , with more and more classes in the game , the card pack cost remains the same? If you're a casual player , and you're able to open up to 100 packs(max) per expansion , won't that decrease the amount of cards you get per class , if there are more and more classes that those 100 packs can go to ? It's like having a dinner with 5 people , and having money for a meal for 4 .
They should cost what people are willing to pay. Ever since they introduced runes and made Battlegrounds cost money I've had more gold than ever to spend on packs since I don't have to put 2000 in Battlegrounds. Life is good.
There needs to be class diversity where crap is actually tested before release similar to LoL's PBE. You get these 5k dust decks every expansion that are so stupid strong it needs nerfed and the players get x2 dust for 1/29 cards.

Nah, each Pack should cost 100$ because of Inflation and bla bla bla...
Bli$$ard will come up with Reason why their Pixels suddenly have to cost more, for offering even less in Return.
Sets are 7.5% larger now. That's not a lot, you won't feel the set being larger, and for most F2P players, earning a full set of commons and rares is only marginally more difficult (5 more packs required for all rares post-DK compared to before).
If you really want to offset the addition of DK, the most you'd need is to give players more gold/packs per season.
@OP: you idealistic man, you! That is THE WHOLE POINT! Pack prices are never going down, only up. Forces people to pay more to get the same amount of cards. And considering all the useless crap that's in every expansion, it's safe to say this is how they intended to milk people from the start.
Gaining gold was much harder 7 years ago. You have gotten only 40/60 gold for a quest and they were much harder to fullfil. I remember that you needed 5 wins from a certain class to get 60 gold.
On the other side, we had only 2 expansions per year and no mini-sets. Classes had only 1 class legendary per expansion.
All in all we now get more packs and there are more cards released. Due to the crafting system it is still easier to build a certain deck than it was in the past.
11 classes - 6 cards = 0.55 ratio (still slightly worse than beginning hs ratio)
I think 6 cards per pack would be fair, but I doubt it will happen. Nobody talks about the extra cost of having 2 new classes brings: 4 new legendaries and 8 new epics worth 9,600 dust. The poorer players even have to craft rares.
At the start of HS, expansions (2 per year) and one 2800 gold miniset, had 1 legendary per class. That was significantly cheaper. Don't be fooled by the handful of freebies and free legendaries they give you, they are still nowehere near as affordable and in the past. Financially I am much better off now than 6 years ago, but it still stings when I have to pay the "hearthstone tax" every three months. And no, I don't have time to grind all day, I play some evenings, trying to get 5-6 dailies done per week.
Even for grinders, it's hard to complete a set now.
They can keep f2p people hooked by giving them just enough enough gold for them to be entertained. This expansion was more expensive, so I assume that some people have found it harder to get the right cards, which should have been accounted for. I'm more sad that the game doesn't offer much extra for the money. even 100$ won't really give you "the game". I suppose tignature cards were the special treat for whales, but if you just want to buy a good game for the price of a good game.... Make the packs that you BUY have 6 cards maybe? The normal price is atrocious anyway
They do give away more free cards now though at least. The legendaries on the rewards track + there’s been an early-release legendary from the past few sets. I wonder if it doesn’t kind of even out. Not to mention how the duplicate protections makes it 100x easier to expand your collection.

It's definitely easier to expand your collection now than it was, but with an extra class and mini set (path of arthas), the actual ratio of the cards you have is lower and people will likely find it harder to keep up with all the other players, especially if the meta favors niche cards and legendary heavy decks. I just had a look at my collection in firestone. I'm actually impressed by how many of the cards I still got when my budget was minimal and there was no duplicate protection. The things you mention have certainly helped closing the gap, but I don't see the compensation for DK being added, so that should add at least a little purchase if you want to keep up your coverage of the coming sets :)
Yes, the problem it's not the standard pack cost 100 gold, but the mechanics of opening packs and crafting cards.
For example in Gwent:
1. When you open a pack the fifth card is a rare, epic or legendary correct? In Gwent they open 3 options in the fifth card for your to choice, for example if you open a legendary you have to choice between 3 legendary cards and that doesn't change if other legendary appear (you only don't choice).
2. The craft price of legendary become 800, why in heavenly god name a game with this number of legendary the price is 4 times the epic price?
With these two basic changes i see in other TCG I think HS will be much more better.
You need 260 packs for an expansion, 3 expansions a year = 780 packs = 78000 gold.
3 minisets is 6000g.
Thats 84000 gold you need each year. Each Rewards Track only gives 20150 gold for a full lvl 400 completion. Its just bad in this state.
You don't "need" any such thing. First, it's possible to enjoy the game and be competitive without a complete collection. You can be selective about which classes to play and which cards to craft for maximum effect. Many cards aren't worth collecting, let alone crafting.
Second, Blizzard gives away so many packs through the reward track, tavern brawl, monthly rewards, online promotions, etc., that it's trivial to collect every common, rare, many epics and some legendaries... without spending any gold at all. For the rest, you can be selective.
Third, the minisets are good value, and worth budgeting the gold to buy; if you've been mindful about managing your resources, this shouldn't be a problem; no level 400 reward track completion necessary.
Fourth, don't disenchant your collection every year. There's a lot of fun to be had in modes other than Standard, that reward growing your collection tortoise-style.
In short, you don't need to be a Whale to play, enjoy, and be competitive in Hearthstone. You just need to be a little smart.

I would keep the pack cost the same, but I do think they should increase the amount of gold players receive.

The packs that need to be cheaper are the wild packs and bundles...

It should still cost 100 but content of the pack needs to change tho.

With so many expension yeah they need to be like 75-50 golds I think
They should bring 3 wins 10 gold system back
