Cards that use the corpse mechanic should not be discoverable or generated by other classes. It's a minor gripe but this has cost me quite a few games. Right now, I'm running undead priest and it's going pretty well except when I get a whole bunch of garbage from DK. I understand not every card generated is going to be perfect but getting cards that you can't fully utilize? It's kind of silly. Do you think this will be a change blizzard will implement? I'm reaching out to them. Hopefully they take this feedback. Maybe? lol
While I dont disagree with the fact it can be annoying, I do think that this is supposed to be the downside to being able to steal or discover cards belonging to your opponent. There have always been cards that are useless or cant be played by you if you steal them. It is what it is, really.
I generally favor cards doing what they say on the text. I'd also be worried about burgle feeling really unfair for DK if all the corpse cards are removed from the pool. DK opponents with burgle would have a very small pool of very good cards.
That's weird because GallonHS made the statement that "corpse cards won't be burgleable" just a few days ago. And yet you get plenty of them with cards that give you a copy of your opponent cards. Maybe they're just excluded from the discover pool. However, it feels really bad if you hit some spells which you can't play at all without corpses and they start to clutter your hand. I don't think that this interaction is well thought out tbh.

I agree but right now DK's have a huge advantage against decks like Thief Priest which isn't fair either.
While I agree that DK has more useless cards than any other class, I do think it's a healthy counter to thief decks. I reckon it's best to keep the steal mechanics the same. If thief decks truly need help, we may see the addition of cards that allow you to reroll cards from other classes. The addition of new cards and mechanics is the standard way to balance the game. Until then, it is how it is.
You need to be able to discover/steal/randomly generate bad cards to keep those mechanics fair.
Back in the day, Stonehill Defender was an auto-include in Paladin because the Paladin taunts were nuts ... that's the same idea. If you can only get one or two Death Knight cards (The Sourge etc.) that aren't linked to corpses it becomes kinda nuts.
On the other hand, you can't then randomly generate cards like Vampiric Blood ... which would be a bummer.
Consider the scenario where you are a Thief Priest ... you couldn't eliminate cards like Marrowgar from the opponent's deck/hand (using the Thief Priest legendary The Harvester of Envy), or other corpse critical cards that Death Knight might be running. I actively WANT to generate those cards (get a card from the opponent's hand and deck) so I can eliminate them later with the legendary. Also, you can generate corpse spells through The Sunwell (as a non-Rogue or Priest) ... which I've been using a lot for the achievement ... and to be honest, it is fine.
Basically ... you seem to be salty ... which has led you to not really think through what the consequences might be. Look if you're out there meming away with thief decks you have to expect to lose ... there are plenty of really bad cards for each class ... especially now when we're at the largest possible card selection ... I mean just look at the terrible Warrior cards you can generate (draw a weapon?! as a Priest ... oef). The next thing you'll be advocating is to get rid of drawing/buffing weapon cards because they are pretty useless in Priest.
If you leave aggro druid or pure paladin established boards unchecked for 2 full rounds will you survive? No. That’s no different.
Burgle is the rogue mechanic, which randomly generates class cards.
Priest copies cards directly from the deck, it'd be kind of ridiculous if it could only copy good cards. There's too much RNG stacking in the game as it is.

Thanks for clarifying. I totally forgot about burgle being just a rogue thing.

Of course it would be ridiculous if certain (useless) cards would be excluded when playing cards that copy from your opponent's hand/deck. I never said otherwise. But there's still a big difference between cards which have no use and cards which you can't even play to get out of your hand. That's why i said it's not well thought out. Because no matter how you look at it, one side will always be at a disadvantage.
My idea that 'corpse mechanic' should have some use in other classes.
I mean, the 'general source' of corpses being own unit dying for your cause should always be the DK thing. But if there are cards that directly generate corpses - like Plagued Grain - then those corpses could be used by other classes.
Or give all classes this resource but make it decay rapidly and tie it with 'resurrection' mechanic - I mean, a priest shouldn't ressurect more bodies than actually died. And a tiny fix: reborn minions are actually one corpse each, not two.
PS. Also pls fix those migrating double consonant letters in 'reSSurect' and 'resuRRection', they are very confusing for a non-native.
But there's still a big difference between cards which have no use and cards which you can't even play to get out of your hand.
Name one card you can't play ... you can play every single DK card you get in hand through any manner ... sure, it won't be efficient and some might be truly terrible (the 5 mana one that summons rush minions for corpses spent summons zero ... but that's the absolute worst card you can get) ... other cards, for other classes, that are absolutely useless for the most part are cards like Wildfire, Paladin spells that target Silverhand Recruits (imagine if you can't generate them - though you might get a generation card too), Chum Bucket (because I'm sure your thief deck is loaded with Murlocs) ... Forged in Flame ...
I can go on and on ... you can play 'em all, but if they do something useful can be debated ... that's the risk of playing a meme thief/burgle/ whatever you want to call it deck.
No, the corpse mechanic should not be transported to other classes ... just like some classes don't have weapons with which you can attack.

Yeah i just checked and it seems to be the only card which requires corpses to be able to cast it. I assumed there would be more of them. My bad. I remember being super pissed about having two of them sitting in my hand because i desperately tried to make room for other cards and had a turn where i could've just thrown it away without being punished but instead i had to play some card which i wanted to save for later.
I never said that other classes should be able to use the corpse mechanic. I just hope that they don't print more cards which require you to have corpses just to be able to play them. Maybe it's a bug but i couldn't play Army of the Dead at all and that's my only gripe with this interaction. No one in their right mind goes all in on thief mechanics in priest and expects to climb ranks with it.

This is the same argument saying that burgle/steal/copy should not get weapon-buff spells as they are equally useless to corpses-activated spells.
