Roughly 80% of the current meta includes it in one way or another. And Death Knight introduction only makes things worst in that regard. It was so obvious...
I was okay with him before Castle of Nathria, but now I agree with you. He is still probably not my biggest issue with the game, but a nerf to "Battlecries of minions that cost X or less trigger twice" would help maybe ?
Brann Bronzebeard + Patchwerk is such a nasty combo! Feelsgood when I snatch six primo targets. It's happened almost every game. Some instant concedes as well. Yeah, Blizzard knew they were doing when they brought back the explorers.

Welll the only time i hold my Brann for this particular combo to be honest is when i face a deck that can hold 3 or more heavy impactful winconditions in hand and i am playing a deck that can only dealt with a limited amount of stuff. This is why i dont like Castle Denathria as a concept expansion "hold your card in hand, they get free value" feels like a terrible concept. People could hate Patchwerk but that card is just on the right power level if we look what are the decks that get patchwerk and STILL win the game like is nothing losing 6 cards.
The problem is that they keep on printing powerful 7 or less mana battlecries that are intentionally insane with Brann. Patchwerk being 7 mana is proof of this.
This whole game has turned into a shitshow. There are so many stupid, uninteractive nonesense plays that it sometimes feels like a pointless waste of time. I seriously wonder if they every play-test anything before they release it. A lot of the games now might as well be a coin toss.
Brann is an obviously broken card (in the context of modern hearthstone) which should have been consigned permanantly to wild. He was fun - no doubt about it, but the power spikes that exist now make him vastly overpowered and very unfun for the opponent.
28 damage from hand on turn 7 against hunter who did nothing but attack face with weapons and kill my minions with spells. Really fun - so much interaction.
It strikes me that Blizz put a lot of effort in to designing new cards only to have 90% of it go un-used because in the face of bullshit like that it's useless.

How many topics per day do we need to open about this?
