i dont have other option. Mutanus is not enough for Priest. I need Theotar, like it or not, because i cant dealt with Denathrius and the actual wincondition of any deck at the same time.
The more I play Theotar, the worse and worse he feels. Too often he sits there doing nothing because playing him is too slow, and when he misses, it feels so bad because I spent most of my turn developing a 4/4 of questionable effect. He's staying for now, but the moment the expansion drops, I know who's getting dusted.
If I'm playing a slow deck, Sire is devastating and he's the biggest reason for playing it, but there's so many targets for it that it very rarely is a bad card.
Losing to Sire Denathrius makes me not want to play this game anymore. The Sire Denathrius nerf makes me want to play this game again. Losing to Deathrattle Rogue makes me not want to play this game anymore. The Prince Renathal nerf makes me not want to play this game anymore.
Felt garbage at 5 Mana, is completely terrible now. I'm sure he's still needed in Standard where the biggest threat there is Denathrius, but the card is awful in Wild. Mostly glad though, I started to hate him more than I liked him around.

I could go on, the list is endless. And hitting some of these cards is basically an autowin. You've got to be crazy to not play it in a control deck.
That list is insane, there’s no way that Theotar for six is worth playing to get rexxar or stheno. There’s two cards that Theotar is good for, Denathrius and tamsins phylactery. All the other cards aren’t worth running a six mana 4/4. Theotar was bad at 5 and is ultra bad at 6.

I think you might be misunderstanding the real value of Theotar. It's not for taking a card that is useful to you, (that's a bonus) - it's for taking a card that is vital for the opponent. And most (if not all) the cards listed above could easily fit that category in various decks.
Is this a serious question? 6 is a no brainer for a game changing card. Blizz could make it a 1/1 for 10 Mana and I would still have it in every single deck

No, I get it. You play Theotar and steal stheno, they follow it up with kurtrus, jace or xymox. You overpaid for a 4/4 and took a good card for them, it they were playing a deck that has a modicum of redundancy. All of the cards on that list are in decks that have more than one win condition. If you steal a vital card for them, they have more. Theotar used to be good when it cost 4, it’s terrible at 6. It is much better to run a card that synergizes with your deck or is more powerful than Theotar. The only deck I could see it working in is a shaman control deck that repeats battlecries after playing schooling, but I think mutanus might be the better choice for a battlecry to abuse. Delete Theotar from your deck and you will do better, it’s sits in your hand too long and costs too much.
Don't forget there are other ways of utilising Theotar multiple times. Brann, Zola the Gorgon, Youthful Brewmaster, Shadowstep, the Rogue Hero card (forget the name) that returns all to hand,
In particular, though, Brann with Theotar is deadly. Just yesterday I played this and still the Paladin's Jailer and Hero card in one turn. He insta-conceded (as one would expect).

I just took it out of my thief rogue...it costs to much now......and the only good cards to steal are sire and win condition cards.
go face!

More aggro and combo cancer atm as expected, so theotar is too slow in most of these matchups.

People still use it in Wild, so I guess it will be used in Standard as well.
Unless there's a super duper fast aggro meta, Theotar is still crazy.
