I generally would let folks kill me. Unless they start doing other stuff like clearing my board or something first. If you have lethal, take it. I'll sit there long enough for that. If you just need to take a victory lap first, I'm out.
The one that tends to annoy me is "thanks" after you've conceded.
....it's hard to read intent, though.
But I suppose it would be equally valid to read it as "thank you for giving me a win" and "well played" as sarcastic. Obviously you haven't played well enough when you're hitting concede, after all.
Yeah, intent is of course only ever your own interpretation - but if their first reaction to conceding is "thanks", then I read that as spite. Especially when it was a one sided game.
I would say though that you can play well and have a nice back and forth and then concede later when you got outplayed though. Not sure if I would emote "thanks" in that case as well. But there I could see it as more genuine.
I don't mind a well played or a threaten or whatever when they land the last hit, as long as they do it promptly enough and haven't been roping/emoting constantly throughout the game.

Like I read that as "thank you for playing badly." And I'd hit "Well played" in that situation, much like how you'd shake your opponent's hand after a game of chess.

That said, the exchanges I've had with people who add me as friends tend to suggest that the more pessimistic interpretation is the correct one.
Yeah the problem is more that the voice acting (for some characters at least) really comes over as sarcastic. Like Anduin's "Wow!" or Jaina's "Amazing!", etc It may not be the player's intent, but I definitely think the character voices are rage-inducing at times, lol
What is slightly more clear as BM, is a "Whoops!" or a "That was a mistake!" after you concede, for example.
i play priest (5500 wins), almost exclusively. and when a player steals my win i hit the well played emote and concede. However if the attempted steal is foiled by the RNG i hit the “not quite what was planned” button.
If you're behind, you are often only hurting yourself. People have this "winning is the only reasonable option" mentality though, and unnecessarily drag games out. Or they get frustrated and rope.
There is always the next game. No one is under obligation to finish you, tell you wp, anything. If you're gonna lose, walk away and try again.

Nothing feels better than stealing a quest priest spell and killing them with there own quest at the end.
You can't kill them though. They will BM emote and concede instantly
Totally agreed. On the flip side, emoting sarcastically before you play lethal to win the game is hugely BM (in my personal opinion).

I'm a priest player only,
one time i was playing against someone who stealed my quest spell; but I also was able to copy the same spell from his hand with those thief cards...
The amazing play I played was that I had a mage secret in hand (cant remember why), the move was this:
I copied my/his quest spell back
I played the mage spell
I attacked and played another minion
End turn
the player thought that the secret was Counterspell.. so he played a 1 mana spell to test...
that was it.. next turn i played my quest spell and won... i laughed so hard that day
