I'm a returning player and have a few questions. I left the game a short time after AoO came out (and the whole DH mess), so I see the game has changed a lot since then (spells have now schools, there are new mechanics, quests, achievements, etc). I don't really care much about standard, in fact I have in mind to focus on classic - the reason I'm returning.
I have seen that Blizzard has released a lot of new hero skins - I mean, a lot. Back when I used to play we only had a few purchaseable heroes and the 1000 victories alt skins. Can I still obtain the new skins, or they were time-limited? Some of them were released in special bundles, and in something called Tavern Pass. Are they going to return in the future? What about old card backs (and the new ones I missed during my absence), can I still buy them?
That's all about cosmetics. I have a question about classic mode. Does anybody know if Blizzard is planning to include expansions and adventures from Hearthstone Year 1 & 2 to classic mode? (maybe a separate mode?).
Can I still obtain the new skins, or they were time-limited? - Most are time limited. Most skins which are available in the shop or Tavern Pass could only be purchased while they were in the shop, and once they left, they're unobtainable. That said, there are two sets of skins which are not: The Rewards Track Level 100 skins, and the Tavern Regular skins (obtained by getting 200 levels overall in Rewards Tracks).
Are they going to return in the future? - Possibly. We've seen some return in the Shop, but the amount which were available after their initial sale period is quite low compared to the number released.
What about old card backs (and the new ones I missed during my absence), can I still buy them? - Up to a point. November 2020's seasonal card back and earlier were made available for purchase with Gold, however newer ones have yet to be given that treatment.
Does anybody know if Blizzard is planning to include expansions and adventures from Hearthstone Year 1 & 2 to classic mode? - There's been talks, but nothing solid. Developers have mentioned several times in AMAs and passing that they're interested in updating Classic to include some expansions (usually up to Naxx), but nothing has happened on it yet.
Also, because you'll probably ask:
What is the Rewards track? What is the Tavern Pass? - In December 2020, Hearthstone's monetization shifted from the old system of completing quests to get Gold, to a Battlepass-esque system where Quests reward Experience which is then redeemed at certain levels for certain rewards. These rewards range from Gold, to packs, to even Legendary cards. It consists of a free track (which everyone gets), and a paid track called the Tavern Pass, which has additional goodies like cosmetics and a few fixed cards.
If you want to know my opinion, keep away from this hot garbage. Hearthstone had it's prime in 2015. Now it's just an unbalanced and frustrating cash grab. The most talented developers left this game a long time ago. This game should die already but unfortunately many people are still paying and keep this abomination alive.

I find these types of comments amusing. Either you are still playing a game that you apparently hate (which makes me question your sanity) or you are hanging around and posting on a forum dedicated to a game that you no longer play (in which case, you have no idea if the game is good or not).

Did you actually play the game after The Grand Tournament came out and think "this game is balanced"?! Not to mention LoE which gave the nickname "shamanstone".

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

Looks like I'll need to be patient then, lol. Thank you for your response.

People have been posting this exact comment since 2016

Well, you already made a mistake: You returned.
