Ehh, don't know. It's a highlight video therefore showing the best games and the deck tracker shows 4-4 at the end.
True, but he does tend to show losses as well.
This is his first video with the deck, so we'll see how it goes. TBH though I wouldn't have imagined it to be something that would dominate, just looks fun and capable enough to actually be able to do the fun things on ladder.
He’s really good with guessing Murdock Holmes correctly which definitely gives him an edge.
How does Murloc Holmes work exactly?
Is it 1st clue - Something from their opening hand?
2nd clue - Something in their current hand?
3rd clue - Something in their deck?
🤷🏻♂️
Yeah, that's it. If you guess all 3 correctly, you get all 3 cards. If you guess any of them wrong, you get nothing.
It's a high risk/reward card, but it does give you a look at the opponents cards, so it's worth taking for that. In a thief deck I think it's an auto include, but I don't run it in my Evolve Shaman as I find it too inconsistent (it's typically ran in Evolve Shaman as it has Murloc synergy) You have to really know the meta and also pay attention to your opponents cards a lot.
I feel because of this, it's only really a good card if you are already a high level player. If you value having a look at the opponents cards, it can also be good for this... just you won't get the pay off unless you really pay attention to what the opponent is doing, and also have a solid grasp on the meta.
priest is good at murloc holmes as u have IDENTITY THEFT as a card. U dont need a high level player...if u see his gameplay he already knows card in hand because he has played IDENTITY THEFT earlier.

You can win plenty of games with thief Priest but its too much rng to be consistent. Mage and Druid just steam roll you.
I think that goes for most decks right now TBH.
I'm mostly playing my Infuse Hunter deck as I have a great winrate with it and I can win Vs. all the best decks. I still want to play other decks though, but I just don't tend to ladder with them. I'll only play for fun, not for wins or to complete quests with lower tier decks right now.
Also I actually find Big Spell Mage to be too RNG based for my own taste in a deck. I have played the deck a bit, but ended up prefering the infuse hunter deck. Still haven't played Spooky as missing the alibi's and the wildfires for it.
Also I refuse to play Secret Hunter as it's horrid to play against.
Ramp Druid is good, but I don't like relying on Denathrius as much and also really don't like using Theotar (I always end up worse off when I play it)
Started trying to get some Evolve Shaman games in, but still learning the deck and haven't won a game with it yet.
So yeah, Infuse Hunter is my favourite deck of the expansion so far. There are a lot of different versions as well, so it really keeps the opponent guessing (they usually expect quest an muligan wrong anyway, LoL)
Thief Priest is fun and if I'd showcase the best games it would look like a god tier deck, but it's obviously not. For example there was one game where I played against an Imp Warlock and I "out-Imped" him. The rest of the games against Imp Warlock were mostly were dead by turn 6.
This deck is definitely not what he climbed with. Less than 50% winrate for me, with a few wins coming from decks that just didn’t want to face a renathal priest and conceded turn 1.
I played vs him last week with Ramp Druid when he was playing it, deck caught me off guard. He ended up with 3 copies of Theotar (his own, stole mine, and Identity Theft). It got down to where I had only two cards left and towards the latter half of the match I felt like he had all the answers and was going to hold me off. I had a Naga Giant on board near the end and was running a Battlegrounds Master that I don't think he saw coming and with 2 cards in my deck left he ended up conceding. I made a Twitch account to make sure it was him and sure enough, it was. Proceeded to watch him lose the next 3 or 4 matches with the deck, he's a salty dude and kind of a dick.
Deck looked fun and definitely something different with all the Dragons and such, it's cool that he plays different ones instead of the same top 3-4 ones. Might give it a try later and see how it goes.

ha ha, yeah man when it goes off, it's disgusting.
if you have the cards, should definitely give it a go.

sounds fun. looking forward to being able to play some fun priest decks when I collect a few more of the cards I need.

he climbed with dude/quest paladin. This is the first time I'd seen him play this dragon/thief priest.
still though, climbing with a paladin is an achievement in of itself. TBF his deck is very streamlined though and he's done very well with it.
kibler has an infatuation with FUN decks, in reality they are inconsistent and high rollly
Ha ha, I agree. Thing is though with thief style decks is they make for the most memorable games when it works. I used to play Tess Rogue back when she was in standard rotation (way before core was a thing) and 4 out of 5 games I'd die before I could do anything... that 5th game was always amazing though, and it made the losses worth it to be able to experience the craziness of a thief deck.
Some of the best games I've seen this Expac. Kibbler is a genius with this deck.

He is. I thought Trump was good at Murloc Holmes, but Kibbler might be the new Champ.

That thumbnail is cringe.

Did you try it yourself? Because I just did and it feels really bad. Memedeck for sure.

no as I am missing cards to make it work. and yes, it's definitely not a high tier, ladder deck.
