This meta is kind of boring to me. No real action to behold or crazy decks going head to head. Just really bland compared to previous exp. In the past.
Even watching the big tournaments this exp. I found no excitement or really energy behind any of it. Just kind of feels like people are going through the motions with no real critical thinking behind each move.
Yep with you on that, I usually don't rant much but there has not been a single expansion which every class had a playing field. I understand its not easy to do so, but at this pace their not even trying to level it out. Idk tbh, waiting for nerfs + mid expansion release to maybe give some padding to the other classes and not add gas to the fire, but knowing blizzard they will give more broken volatile cards to mage, 0 mana spell to summon 9 imps...
The patch notes for the next patch have dropped, with no changes to Constructed. Because we get updates every 2 weeks-1 month on average, we can expect another "shot" at a balance change 3 weeks from now, on September 13.

But when did they promise that? All they promised was that certain classes were going to have their time to shine while others don't and it gets shifted around from time to time.
Implock is still the most hilarious deck in 2022, and nothing gets done about it... I even get bored myself for playing Quest Huntard all the time just to stay competitive.
I'd rather play DH (Fun class now), Paly or Control Shaman ... but it's not even possible in this oppressive Meta.

Your definitely right, they didn't promise but certainly you can't make 10 classes and for 4 months only have 3/10 of them have decks that overwhelm the rest. At this point, its not even worth playing the other classes because their kits don't match up against them.
They keep going back to one of the most hated aspects of the game - freezing your opponent's board - and making it more and more powerful. It becomes impossible to out-value Mage and the games are long and so boring.
In addition, they also keep going back to mana cheating with the release of new powerful cards. Yes, playing 20 mana value of spells on turn 6 and again on turn 7 is really strong. So what? It's stupid and frustrating, and makes me want to quit playing the game entirely. There is nothing "skill-based" about this nonsense. Even deep in dumpster legend over half my games are against the same two infuriating Mage decks.
This keeps happening. Each expansion there is a very powerful, basically non-interactive deck that allows your opponent to ignore (or now, freeze) your board so much they win in the end and there's nothing you can do in response. Nothing. Except hope they screw up or draw poorly.
This reflects, very, very poorly on the development team. I am so sick of streamers - desperate to suck up to Blizzard and its employees in order to get the few scraps thrown to them occasionally - tweeting "don't be mean to the DEVs, it's not their fault." Yes, it is. They have literally developed this shit and refuse to make the game playable and interactive for the vasty majority of the player base.
They keep doing it because they are either completely unimaginative or they believe this will sell the most packs etc because people actually prefer this mode of play. I really hope it's not the latter, because that would be awful.
The only way forward is to bring in a new development team or at least replace the leadership of the current team. They are just awful at what they do. If I had produced the nonsense we've seen since United in Stormwind (and arguably since Ashes out Outland), I would resign in disgrace and seriously reflect on what a better line of work would be for me.
I just dont get it. I feel like the devs dont even play when a new set comes out. They just sit on a beach somewhere and drink craft beer and watch tiktok videos featuring cute pets.
If you que up Standard Ranked for even a few hours its mind boggling how many utterly broken things there are out there.
How does Rafaam not cost 8-10 mana? Why does the Mage location still have 3 durability instead of 2? How is Guff still in the same state its been in since its introduction?
Absolutely mind boggling how awful they are that they cant see these issues.
We actually need the freeze mechanics right now in order to have something that can deal with big minions that can't be dealt with by silencing them. without it, the meta would be even smaller. I think it's a good thing we have freeze decks right now, just like I think Implock is a good thing for the meta... These things keep other things in check.
This is what I've come to understand with my limited time back in the game and with the current decks. There are a few decks that can play massive minions that nothing can be done about, other than freezing them, so it's something that's needed.

This is a fair point. But the answer to that, I think, is not excessive freeze mechanics. It's less insane OP bullshit in the first place.
Agreed all the freezing wouldnt be necessary if we didnt have 6 mana Rafaam make 20/20 worth of stats across 5 bodies with Imp Warlock. Or make 5 3/3-ish minions on turn 3-4 with Aggro Druid (also insane). Theres just too much insane OP stuff right now.
The freeze mage pushes out the "fair" decks like Relic DH, Beast Hunter, Miracle Rogue, etc to a point where you basically have to play one of 3-4 top meta decks in order to have a chance to get some win streaks. And this is an extremely lame game experience.
The ladder is basically play Aggro Druid, play Imp Warlock, or play Mage.

Like really?
Odd that you're calling Miracle Rogue a "fair" deck as it's currently one of the strongest decks at higher ranks due to its scam potential. The faster Maestra lists are 50/50 into Mage, and Shark versions suck but Mages are one of the (relatively speaking) better matchups for that deck (its worst are face decks which blitz it down before you can miracle).

If you're not playing Imps, Druid, Skeleton Mage that freezes your entire board turn after turn, or Huntard...
Then youre screwed.
Meta is complete and utter cancer. Some of the most ridiculous boards I've ever seen in HS Standard.
Devs...thank you thank you thank you. Thank you for constantly reminding me why I never pay money for a Blizzard product anymore.
But seriously, does anyone have any info on when they plan on doing the next nerfs?
Look on the salt thread
Love the "But seriously" at the end. Got a laugh out of me.

I moved to wild 3 seasons ago and it's quite fun in here.
only go back to standard to mess around or doing quest sometimes though...
This is what we call meta buddy...
Not that I don't like it as a priest main though
Hearthstone today is complet your missions and quit.

We are in the terrible center of every xpac cycle, it will be this way until the mini-set.
