Since the decks were updated, what do you think is the best free deck to pick, pls?
I was thinking of either going for the pally one or the murloc shaman. they don't have the most dust worth, but seem like they'd be alright (although I don't know the newest cards yet)
I've not played in a couple of years, so really could do with some guidance. thanks.
hahaha. dude I've been away for two years, and had been away 2 years before this. I'm just here for my free deck mostly. I log in every couple of years to pick it up.
I would like to try and get some games though, so trying to pick the most worthwhile deck. I think I'm just gonna take the Paladin one.
Ones I'd say to outright avoid are Mage, Warrior, and Warlock. These decks are mostly pushing either bad archetypes or lack anything important to their respective classes.
Druid has a lot of Dust in its returning player deck, with 4 disenchantable Legendaries and 2 disenchatable Epics. Might not be the strongest as-is, but it's super fun and can be retooled into a Denathrius package if you want.
Hunter is a bunch of Big Beast stuff, which can feel very scammy and degenerate. If you like cheating out King Krush on turn 4, this is the deck for you. It's also another one easy to retool into a meta list, though it isn't as cheap as Druid's.
Paladin kinda sucks right now, but this is gives several good Paladin cards which fit across a lot of archetypes, namely Stonehearth Vindicator, Lightforged Cariel, and The Leviathan. Plus Mechs is the best thing Paladin would be doing right now.
Priest is probably the strongest deck here, and another one which can be retooled into a meta list rather easily. Just find room for Boon of the Ascended, Cathedral of Atonement, and Pelagos and you're good.
Rogue is another one which is a ton of fun. Unfortunate it's missing some of Rogue's best cards from the last expansion though, namely Crabatoa and Azsharan Vessel, alongside the older card Mr. Smite.
Shaman's deck is decent for an aggro deck, but it's lacking the staying power of other decks here. Many of the Murlocs and Hero card are core pieces to Control Shaman, but there's a laundry list of Epics and Legendaries in Control Shaman which are not in this deck, so I'm hesitant to recommend this one.
Also, when did this forum come back? I thought it was out of cards now?
OOC is another forum.
You probably want to look at hsreplay or the data reaper reports (update pending due to latest patch) to decide on the deck. There might also be some reason to just grab the one with the most dust reward (check for cards from actual expansions and not the Core Set) if you look at the long term instead of actively playing expansions.

Thanks for the info, hopefully this will help me decide.
I really have no idea what to p[ick as been away from the game for so long.
I have never really played priest before, so I will likely be bad with the priest set. I have played a lot of rogue, so maybe that's a good one to go for.
I like druid as well though, so that seems quite attractive.
Seems like it's between priest, rogue and druid then.

Thanks. I think the DH one has the most dust, followed by druid.
I remember this site was supposed to be lost and OOC was going to replace it. It seems that hearthpwn never actually shut down though.

it wouldn't be such an issue, but I can't even get into my account to look at my cards to work out what I can do until I pick a deck.
I don't want to make a huge mistake picking the wrong thing, so really need some help on this.

Pick a different game.
Like.....any game.

Onto the other classes:

Druid is the best pick in terms of being competitive.
Gives you Guff, the best legendary out of the bunch.
Thank you, appreciated. I do like some druid as well.
Any idea what cards I'd need to turn into denathrius deck, please?
The following would be a good start: Flipper Friends, Composting, Jerry Rig Carpenter, Widowbloom Seedsman. Remove Vanndar, Boomkin, and the big Dragons other than Onyxia, You don't need to craft Denathrius because you get him for free.
Thanks, will do that.
I'm just trying to sync my collection with innkeeper, is it still broken? (was last time I tried)
BTW would I want 2 x each of all those cards, pls?
It still is bro, innkeeper requires too much work for the admins.
rogue the answer is rogue
Thanks.
I have played a decent bit of rogue already, so wasn't as quick to go for it this time.
I picked druid as not done a lot with that class.
Nice, I got that bush-monster legendary from packs, and also one of the epics I need for my Druid deck.
