I think it is because people expect angry responses for many accepted friend requests.
This here. Too often a friend request after a match is just one side being hateful toward the other for what ever reason. One of the many sad commentaries on this game, and online gaming in general. Meanwhile, feel free to add me as well and we can rip it up! Dieseloctane #11501
I stopped accepting them because of the ragers. I consider myself to have good playing etiquette. No BMing, take relatively fast turns, etc. And even then, I’ve gotten SO many rage friend requests to the effect of “YOU THINK YOURE GOOD BECAUSE YOU GOT A LUCKY TOP DECK.”
Um no? I didn’t say I was good? I didn’t spam emotes? People are either 12 years old, or have the mind of one, because so many people just can’t take losing. So yeah, i just gave up on it.
I'll accept you and you have a 95% chance to wish cancer on me and my mother, what even is the point, I'm making life better for both of us but ignoring your request.
Too many toxic mentals online bro. 90% of the time a friend request is for players to empty all their life problems on your butt. You can add me anytime.
If I get a friend request from someone playing a fun or interesting deck, I’ll accept it the next day. That way I don’t have a friend list full of face hunters or whatever no choice deck is popular and if I was wrong and they wanted to rage, they probably forget and cool down.
i dont ever really accept friend requests, but i dont get them really either. The only times ill send one is if opponent is also playing a cool deck and it was a close/fun game. Sadly, most of my opponents just play decks copied directly from HSReplay. Ive gotten legend (63%+ winrate) the last 3 seasons with a home brew paladin deck, its not that hard to build a unique deck that you can climb with.
If I get a friend request, I always accept it. Sometimes its someone tilted and salty, but other times it's "what's the deck code for that?", especially in a mirror match where I edge them out.

Unfortunately, i just accept friend requests when i lose the game against the player that send me the invitation, cuz the probability of not being offended is high.
I'll never understand someone passing up a chance to observe that sort of behavior. It never fails to make me chortle.
Not to mention, there is the off chance that someone has something relevant to say. Not very likely, but when the alternative is entertainment through temper tantrums of alleged adults, I can't imagine why one would pass up the possibility.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

I accept most all of them and can confidently say the ragers rarely play face hunter or similar. Accepting a day or two delayed does indeed make them forget what they were raging about :-)

If they add a proper chat this wouldn't be a problem.

Why do you request? Whats is your goal?
Do you request if you lost too? ;)
I would add people too play friendly games with, with non meta lists.

Because 95% of the "players" you play against are bots, with the remaining 5% being netdecking cunts as equally braindead as bots.
