Why 1 mana? It could have easily been 2 mana gain 2 atk.
Too much tempo, too much value. I quitted shortly after the launch of United in Storm wind. I came back now with Sunken City but I'm quickly getting bored again.
Interaction is minimal nowadays, DH plays a big role in it, but also decks like quest hunter are not healthy at all.
Not a bronze 5 rant (actually twice legend with Rogue since my come back). Just someone who would like to play more interesting matches
Demon Hunter is supposed to be frenetic that's why it has tons of synergies made around him attacking. 2 mana 2 attack will unnecessary slow the class identity. In my opinion, skilled players won't care about de heroe power, winning or losing games are defined by other important decisions than that. For instance, Warlock HP has always been considered the most powerful HP and it has the lowest WR (40% HsReplay).
The DH hero power has a fair cost for its effect. It also fits the class identity very well. DH is overtuned right now (primarily due to Drek'Thar as well as Multi-Strike), but its hero power is really not the issue. Also interaction is at the highest it has been the last year right now. We got rid of a ton of uninteractive OTK-style decks in the last rotation and we finally have a meta where board matters. As I said DH is overtuned, but it's definitely not uninteractive. Its two best cards (mentioned above) are the very definition of this. The first one drops minions on the board, the 2nd one allows it to use its hero to make trades and fight for board control. It doesn't get more interactive than that.
I kind of agree, mostly because it makes balancing certain effects on neutral cards (like inspire) pretty much impossible, limiting design space.
Other than that I don't mind it being 1 mana. In fact I'm quite happy to see a vanilla hero power that's actually useful and gameplay-defining in modern Hearthstone, rather than just something you use when you have mana to spare and have no impact on how you build your deck or play the game (Priest, Druid, Paladin, etc).
Unfortunately, these f-tards only care about faster games so they adjust everything in that direction (and have been doing it for several expansions). It's not only the effect of powercreeping, but mostly the design choices.
Since they focus so much on seemingly high-impact plays, games not longer than 10 turns, and drawing most of your deck during that time, there's nothing left to do.
The only solution for people that don't like this teenager-visual-bullshit-wank-on-toilet game is to either play something else, or to pray for a change in (i.e. firing of) designers, marketing people and the other f-kers that are forcing it.
lol, this thread - "I lose to DH, why does this class and it's hero power exist? I shouldn't lose ever, but definitely not to this!"
Let's be real, DH hero power is half as good as Druid's hero power, ergo "half the cost". It's fair, it's class appropriate and if you don't want to lose to DH right now, play Control Warrior and farm your free wins.
I don’t understand how people are still complaining about this. Rogues hero power is effectively “0” mana for the “same” effect. Obviously there are some differences, but if rogue hero powers and passes, they get 1 attack on the following two turns for “0” mana.

Excuse me sir, it seems you have written an error 404 in your post. Control Hunter doesn’t exist.

Dude I think he meant control warrior. U shud obviously get it.

Multi-Strike is mostly Combined with the "honorable kill" weapon to interact with your face.
Yes, thank you - I did! I must've had Hunter on the brain after watching some Funki Munki "big beasts" deck that is hot garbage on ladder, but fun to play.
Yes, Control Warrior stomps DH and loses to many other decks, so a typically Rock/Paper/Scissor meta.

HP is not the issue, it is that the class is overtune with many strong cards existing at once.. the main culprit is Multi-Strike, this shouldn't allow to hit face tbh..

That is true actually. All other hero powers are 2 mana. Why not DHs?

i wouldn't say the hero power is value. more expensive hero power would be more value.
You are right OP.

warlock hp and sometimes rouge hp is better tbh
You can taunt an attack, you can't taunt direct damage. Face hunter could kill you just as fast in 2015...
DH was designed to be a face damage heavy beat-down class.

2 mana hero power will surely suck with the DH hero card.
Just be glad it buffs your weapon compared to rogue useless hero power which destroys your current weapon.

Rogue hp is useless? Lol god this forum is full of bronze rats. Rogues hp is historically the second best in the game after warlock.

Wow! you're right. Those historically top tier hero powers are really pulling a lot of work to put Rogue and Warlock in tier one this meta.
