My many bouts against druid, and by extension, having only lost due to kazakusan brought me to make this post.
I want to to also preface this with I think this idea should apply to all of the Highlander cards such as Reno, zeph, etc.
All of these cards with these “if your deck has” conditions need to be change to if your deck started with. It would prevent things like druid from drawing 5 cards a turn, churning out their entire deck while developing massive boards, and then having a fatigue/resource fallback of kaz.
I don’t know why anyone would find this unreasonable, and to me would make the cards function as they seem to be intended.
How would this help anything at all? Kaz druid who runs just kaz+onyxia wouldn't be affected, and it'd let decks who use kaz with dragons to just jam him on 8 anyway and start the stupidity just as early. Maybe the solution is to just stop printing absolutely stupid cards which are a self-containing win condition, and iunno, letting people do anything they want because they have 20 mana on turn 10.

It would help (in some ways) because running only kaz and onyxia is not the optimal version of the deck. Being able to run Naga Giants with Elune is a huge upside, when drawing through your entire deck quickly and efficiently, thus making Kaz's condition unimportant, isn't hard.
HOWEVER, it would eliminate some of the nuance around these cards - especially the Highlander ones. I can't tell you how many times since LOE launched that I was running a highlander deck, then idiotically used some spell that would shuffle multiple copies of something into my deck, only to realize I had neutered Reno. (Along those same longs, there would be no room for Albatross tech etc)
Idea probably is fine for Kaz, just like that other idea of 'if you played 5 dragons this game' or w/e.
This removing counterplay to HL decks is a bad idea. If you want to limit HL usage in power draw decks, figure out something else. I partly agree because I remember Zeph in zoolock for Bloodlust for example, and it was pretty stupid.

Are you joking? The far and away best version of the deck plays the 1 drop naga, the naga giant, ivus, and more. It would DRASTICALLY worsen the deck over all.
They would either need to give up their massive tempo turns through giants and ivus, or get rid of their inevitability via kaz.

In all fairness though, that deck would cut Kazakusan and probably be just fine. It’s usually the Elune into two 23/23 Ivus’ followed by innervate earth scales that seals the match most of the time… or 4 8/8 giants for 3 mana. If they made it so Kazakusan wouldn’t activate, there are other ways to spend 20 mana.
The last few games I’ve played with Kazakusan, I noticed that “Book of the Dead” didn’t appear as a treasure. Am I unlucky or did they remove it from the treasure pool like they did with “Plague of Locusts”??

Hey thanks for the super helpful reply. I'm not sure how I missed that thread. I haven't quite mastered the search function on here. I think I'll pass with him this time around. If i want any further guideline we will contact you here https://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-results-general/general-discussion/253083-kazakusan-proposal
