So I remember last time when the Core set first became a thing I was surprised when I couldn't dust my old copies of cards. I remember checking cards like Baron Geddon, which I already had a copy of, and it had suddenly become part of the Core set but I wasn't able to dust my old version and I got no credit for the one I already had. I have Ragnaros, Lightlord and Kalecgos and many of the other cards coming in, so I should dust these right? when they become Core I won't get credit for them like last time I assume, and once they rotate out of Core I still keep them, yes? or no? do they just disappear? Please halp if info have.
No, you don't keep cards that get rotated out of the core set next year. So for example I have the Lock and Load card from the core set but I don't own the regular copy of it so next Tuesday I won't have that card to use in wild. So if you dust your rag and kale you won't have them after they rotate out of the core set, whenever that is.
Did you check Baron Geddon in the Core Set section of your collection and see if you could dust it? All your cards obtained from past expansions should still be dust-able if they become part of the Core Set.
The core set cards are "borrowed" so to speak. That means they go away if they are not in rotation anymore and you cant use them in wild. If you have the copy of the card you still can use them in wild even if they rotated from standard. If you like Wild, single player modes from the past or Duels I would not dust any cards.

You CAN dust old copies of the cards in the legacy set, and you still own them, you're just looking for them in the wrong places. Look under "legacy set" in your collection, there you'll find your own Braon Geddon etc., perfectly dustable if you want to. And no, you won't keep the core cards if they rotate next year, so it's a bad idea to disenchant the copies you own in case you want to play them in another format when they are no longer part of the core set.
If you don't plan to even play wild/classic, dust them. A lot of them aren't even playable in wild (example baron geddon, azure drake), but they might have some fringe applications in Classic. However, after 1 day of classic, I honestly forgot the game mode exists.

except if you have the golden copy of Lock and Load unlocked ?

It doesn't matter if its golden or not, if you only have access to it through the core set, you won't have it anymore after rotation.
Ugh, no. It doesn't matter if you "don't plan to play wild" now. Plans can change, cards may also be usable in Duels, and the dust return for cards is often just not worth it.
The OP probably doesn't actually need dust right now, but thought that the new core set was an opportunity for "free dust". It is not. There is no free dust to be had in core set rotations, and if you dust your cards you may well regret it.

If you dust them you don't keep them.Whether you should, it all up to you.
If you dust them then 1 year from now when the core set rotates you'll no longer have them. Don't dust them.
