I fully understand now why we keep getting a large % of terrible cards every expansion be it too boring, too op or too weak while never getting the frequent balance patches that we still need today.
Regarding the card itself is really boring. Maybe it will be used with Vanndar Stormpike but I don't care.
Anyway, this release, for me, was pretty offensive.
We are waiting the address of the excess of coins since November, after a pre-order of 130€
They created (at least in me) an hype with an "?". Yesterday there was duels with his symbol, so today this seems mercenaries or another relevant issue addressed. I was hoping to finally see addressed the issue of the excess of coins as they promised
No, they send an arrogant old retiree who pretends to troll
I don't know, is this a circus? But they took 130€.
It's a tutor. You can have exactly 2 minions in your deck and it will draw those every time. You can have a Vanndar deck and it will get him every time, or any other key minion for as long as it's one of your two lowest cost minions.
Arcane Intellect isn't really the best comparison since it is not a tutor. I think there will be several decks that can use this card during its time in Standard, and probably even more in Wild.
Do you remember that Blizz sold the 3 bundles? Before releasing mercenaries? So nobody asked me to do it. I did it because I liked the idea of the new mode. I don't like it anymore because they have not addressed what they had to address. Anyway, the topic from Blizz's defenders is old. How can you believe that this is a consumer's fault when in HS there are: pity timer, duplicate protection and use of resources when you don't need it.
I really don't understand you blind Blizz defenders. For me this was a scam. And guess what? No refund. Only an old guy trolling in the video.
Having a reliable Vanndar Stormpike tutor is going to be very powerful. Currently whenever you can hit Vandar on turn 4, you automatically play with handicap. And after playing Vandar Abyssal Depths is reliable way to tutor discounted minions. I'm almost sure that this costed 3 mana in early development stage and they nerfed it to 4 mana after play testing, as they found this on turn 3 and Vandar on 4 too oppressive. People are currently sleeping on this card.
Don't make me laugh my friend. "Play testing?" it is around 2 years that they don't even know what is play testing. They are releasing cards and then they are nerfing everything in the first 2 weeks. Now, they play tested Abyssal Depths. Sounds like a joke.
"People are sleeping on this card". It sounds like another joke. Blizz is reprinting cards and has to adjust mercenaries since November and people are sleeping?
Imagine playing mercenaries xD Standard Is in bad state now So instead of crying look forward to try something new. And if you dislike thé game dont buy preorders And JUST uninstall

I know that Blizzard is not obliged to balance the game, but, even though I uninstalled already, it still feels bad that I had to do so after playing it for 7.5 years, just because of how during last 2 years powercreep got to ridiculous levels. I won't go further because this is not a topic of a thread, but 'just uninstall' is not realy relevant advice in most cases.

She is a developer for hearthstone and she says "This is a good card too" referring to Abyssal Depths.
Honestly I can't say anything good about this card, it's never going to see play in demon hunter,
it's a re-re-re-re-print of a boring card called Arcane Intellect and the artwork on it is also boring no offense to the artist who made it..
Sure it's a bad card but that is not the issue here,
The fact that a developer thinks this is a good card is the problem.
They are lacking a sense of balance and creativity.
If you've taken everything into consideration and still think this is not a good card, just remember this is not Purify, which turned out to be a good card, even if it didn't have any uses when it came out. This has uses NOW and we still haven't seen all the cards for this expansion.
It is indeed clear now, you can't value a card's quality.
Normally I'd see Abyssal Depths and think, oh gosh it's so expensive why bother, but then I remember that quest hunter exists and I see this card as godly strong since I can get my Sir Finley Mrrgglton and Grizzled Wizard which pretty much just wins me the game. For other match ups, eh not so much, but I built a priest deck around those two cards just to spite hunters but had to have those as my only minions. It's an okay card, think of it as Ice Fishing.
You are a bad player if you compare a specific tutor like this to arcane intellect. It's no wonder we get so many bad posts on this forum when players are so obsessed with being dumb

This is literally your own fault honestly.
They should have implemented at least duplicate protection by now, but you can't blame them because you thought a random question mark in the reveal schedule for the *NEW EXPANSION* was going to be news about coins in Mercenaries. It was most likely a new card.
And yeah Abyssal Depths looks fine. None of you are allowed to complain about power creep if you're also going to bitch about an average card.

She is also the daughter of the guy and the reveal was supposed to be some sort of prank.
So take it with a grain of salt that she said it's "too good".

who ask you to pay 130€ exactly ?
I guess you've seen all the new cards already huh? And the core set too? Real shame Abyssal Depths didn't get any support...

nvm ^^

People are currently sleeping on this card.

Such a salty comment lmao. Its a tutor draw. You can have only big demons in ur deck and u would draw them.
U can make a OTK fel deck with Jace and guarantee Jace draw. Many possibilities, its not a reprint of Arcane Intellect at all. Pepega

“It’s all clear now.”
Says card that is very playable in certain archetypes is “never going to see play.”

Somebody missed the joke

Drek'Thar it's one of the top cards in the game right now, Vanndar Stormpike it's time for this guy to shine,
When doing a comparison you have to consider their class synergies at the very least.
This is literally your own fault honestly.
