Don't be rude with this guys, he just thinked on what's the status report of the ??? Alterac Valley archievement, so for the next time @hearthpwn & @OutOfCards staff should track it to help some guys who doesn't want to use this las one (discord server from WoW Secrets) ...
Pfff finally did it. Especially Cariel Maze is awful. There are three parts and not single one can be done by exactly "step by step". Fortunately, someone took a job and made spreadsheets that were very helpful, but you still need to understand what to do.
All the tasks took me around 3-4h (Cariel maze took about 2-3h).
Cariel's Maze was not difficult per se if you had the Excel guide open (although I got lost once and took me like 20 minutes to figure out where I was in the maze), but it was freakishly long. Knowing exactly what to do I still needed like 2 hours to navigate through enough chests to get 20 coins
Yeah but still to do Cariel's Maze (one instance job) take 2h+ even with instructions and maps is really ridiculous not mentiong how long take to do these maps. Can you imagine how long it would take you to draw only one of these 8 maps?
On the one hand, it is admirable what a challenge Blizz HS with limited engine was able to do. On the other hand, for the player himself, it is an impossible task without the rest of the community and even so it takes a lot of time even with instructions. Of course, this achivement is supposed to be a challenge, but this one has already gone a too far from my point of view.
I liked the Cariel maze, started at "crossplay". At a certain point it is second nature to walk there. Yes, if you just want to complete it, it is tedious and long, but that is how it should be imo. I think the riddle-community had fun mapping the place and that is the point, isn't it?
To be honest, Cariel task is too tedious and frustrating even with the excel spreadsheet.
Let's hope that Blizzard don't make this kind of task again...
exactly. imagine the work thats been put into this to even create a map in the first place... jeez.
also the real-fake-walls that can be blown is totally bunkers. at least the first and inner walls have a slightly different appearence, but the entry to a dungeon was totally crazy. no hints at all. even following the map, I missed 1 blow-able wall. thank god there was spare dynamites.
Yeah I don't think this is the kind of challenge you want to lock card backs behind. A better way to do this would have been to make it even harder and let those guys who enjoy to group-solve these things go at it, and once like a certain amount of people finishes it then the card back is automatically unlocked for everyone. The fun really only lies in the initial hunt for the solution, after that it's just a chore.
Hey everyone!
Has anyone made any progress in Alterac Valley mystery achievement?
Has there have been any updates in how to solve this?
On the discord server "WoW secrets", they already solved it everything since monday, so why you are not on that one?

you can find it on reddit as well, paladin one is way harder than others until you get the gist of it but still it takes the most time and effort
Everything u need can u find on Out of Cards or like above just said (like if u need help on solving) on the Discord from WoW-Secrets (:

@ksarma
Could you do something about it?

I feel like the secret achievement team is trying to do their best to prevent people from doing these with a guide.
I think they want only the dedicated players to be able to get the cardback, I'm talking about people like discord wow secrets elite members only.
so next time, I bet they gonna make it so tedious or freaksihly long and RNG dependent that only a few people will have them.

I started to do this but I give up after Cariel's one. It's too tedious
Finished it today morning.. took me about 2-3 hours. I was bored anyways so I did this. :P
