got 8400x2 dust and gold honor rewards cards taken.
crafted one golden Guff for 3200
today back to zero dust and gold cards back ; still have the gold Guff.
i think I came up about 1400 dust on the craft but we’ll see what they do next. I also DE’d one common to see if I was hidden negative but nope I’m at 5 dust now.
Ya guys seriously still considering to end up with "Profits" out of this whole incident - they'll take back crafted cards as well, and just return the dust amount (from "your dust") spent on them. No gifts were meant to be handed out at all in the first place 😂 Now stop being silly.

Why would I be ashamed to use something that was given to me, even if it was given on accident? Especially if the gift exists within a completely fabricated economy that I have seen fit to spend literal weeks of my life and thousands of my own money to participate within??
I guess you deem that currency doesn’t exist to be spent, and that by tithing part of your salary to Blizzard, it makes you a better person. I hear if you buy all the cosmetics, it makes you eligible for sainthood. Just sayin’. Couldn’t hurt you to try.

Honestly, I can't stand people who follows the path of evil without any remorse, or even worse, as in this case, unaware of their derailed actions. Ignorance is a bliss, that's for sure. :(

nah they dont ever take back cards, i personally crafted one golden leg and 3 regular legs with the limited time free dust and still have them, you guys missed the boat because of your greed of wanting to hold on to it for next expac

Seems like blizzard found a way to get people to spend their banked dust. This oops gift and take back likely left many people with less dust for the next expansion. Just Blizzard being Blizzard.
Its the not the first this kind of thing happens, I remember when they first introduced the duplicate protection 😂 if you were smart enough, you were able to have as many packs as you can afford and they would be worth ~400 dust each instead of ~100
I personally know people who got over 600 USD of packs reimbursed and they never locked the account or even took back the cards 😅

The comments here are hilarious. First of all there is no way for Blizzard to prove the 'intent' behind dust usage, they can only assume which in many cases it will be the wrong assumption. The casual player that doesn't follow websites and forums had no idea what was going on, so separating people that we're genuine and those that abused the bug is impossible.
The only real solution is for Blizzard to be smart for once and turn this into a good PR move giving back the dust to level the playing field and collateral for giving the player base a headache, not only that but as a token of a god faith under Microsoft..But likely they will be stupid and sour the community against them being blinded by greed in the very first week of buying the company. This could potentially be the biggest PR move we have seen in awhile, if Microsoft drops the ball on it they need to hire smarter people. This is an excellent opportunity for Microsoft to 'win the crowd' out of the gate, a crowd that is suffering from Activision fatigue.
Just be happy for the ones that used the dust and got their new cards. They made out you didn’t.

Honestly at this point they should just credit everyone on EU with like 10k Dust, as well as return 10k Dust to people who are stuck on Zero's on NA Server, whos had their Dust tally taken away from them. (and then some)
Super unfair how some people are about to run away with a massive advantage here, just because they happened to exploit the situation, but even more shocking how some of you actually seem to be fine with it. 🤡

I believe this is the most major incident of this kind since 2014, at least in such ridicolous proportions, a very complicated incident and I have no idea how they are even going to appropiately deal with this now, e.g by manually monitoring accounts. *grabs popcorn* 🍿
Dust is not money. Dust is a virtual commodity. If I find a crate of Cheetos in a ditch, I can try to track down who left them there and try to return them, but I am also within my rights to eat them since they appear to have been abandoned.
However, these particular Cheetos have a tracking device in every bag, and the people who made the Cheetos know exactly where they are at all times. They also have the ability to teleport the Cheetos back to the warehouse -- even if you have already eaten them. They will pull the sustenance from the cells of your body, leaving you hungrier than you've ever been in your life.
They probably won't take back the cards, but they can and will assign negative dust, so it may be awhile before you are able to spend dust again.
