Insane how blizzard don't care about Wild, Pirate warrior nerf is good but now there gonna just be an infinite number of Quest Hunter because quest still isn't nerfed.
Rapid Fire is nerfed it will slow the deck but I think it will still be broken because of the Baku interaction
You can have all the armour in the world and 8 minions on your side but they can't stop 'you lose' button.
Regardless of the actual Quest Priest winrate.
Thank God you aren't on the balance team.
Right? It's like the guy doesn't understand the Paper>Rock>Scissors nature of Combo>Control>Aggro. Quest Priest is a rather drawn out controlish-Combo, but it still requires specific cards to be played in a specific order in order to secure a game finish, whereas typical Control wants to just strangle the board and the other player to death as a win condition.

Run it in a Baku deck if that's how smart you are. :)
Jokes aside, I have been playing non-Baku quest hunter in wild, had a fairly quick climb to legend without any star bonus from plat onwards, and I feel like the deck is unchanged with this card change. Maybe I will drop Tavish one turn later, but aside from armor druid, not much stands in my way, certainly not mages who draw well anymore.
Odd Hunter got a huge nerf. It literally loses its best card and it's a deck that already struggles to put together a 30-card deck as it has only 25-26 core cards and fills up the rest of the slots with tradeables or similar stuff. Now it has to add 2 more 'bad' cards to replace Rapid Fire, meaning not only is it missing its best card, but it will more often have bad topdecks thus further affecting the deck's consistency. That should be enough to push the deck down to tier 2 for sure. Nerf doesn't have to be 'kill the deck completely'
Still curious what the Pirate Warrior nerf is, if any.

You can stop them in one simple step: Kill them.
If Standard would slow down by just one turn - it will be overwhelmed with Quest Priests.
It's basically control with unavoidable wincon.
Yes you could tech Mutanus. Yes you could tech Neophyte. Still you lose next turn Xyrella is played.
I love how every single time an aggressive strategy is nerfed, there is someone who thinks control priest will dominate the meta. Are you shaking in your boots and want a preemptive nerf?
Let me reassure you:
Priest will still lose to weapon rogue/garrote as it currently does. Even with 2 vipers and 2 oozes.
Priest will still lose to Mozaki Mage. (May not see much play even now but if the meta becomes slow and greedy it will check a lot of slow decks)
Priest will still lose to Quest Warlock (see above for explanation)
It will also lose to previously obscure decks like Ping Mage, Quest Demon Hunter, Boar decks and whatnot.
Priest doesn't have the tools to be good so don't worry. It's just too slow to keep up with other classes and there will always be a strategy that puts it down.

I hate to break it to you, but Quest Priest can't become good in this expansion. No matter what nerfs they do. The problem isn't just that they will die because doing 30 damage is trivial - this much is true - but quest priest also doesn't have even a fraction of the efficient card draw it needs to do any of this reliably in under 15 turns. It's only an unavoidable wincon in the type of meta where Archivist was played. We're not in a 40 turn meta though. We're not even in a 10 turn meta. You can't slow down *this* meta enough to where Quest Priest is consistent. It's not actually possible in this expansion.
I can win vs questlock, vs poison rogue and vs pirate warrior even as they are now.
You're "the bully here"? Seriously? What are you, 12 years old? Are you actually trying to puff your chest out and act like some kind of super stud? Not even pro players can win consistently against these decks with Quest Priest. You might win occasionally, but that's true of any matchup, even a bad one.
The numbers don't lie. Quest Priest is a dog, though I wish it were otherwise, since I own the questline.

Agree that the Shard is an uninteractive win condition, but you have at least 10 turns in the game to interact and beat Priest before they reach to their win condition.....
What about all these uninteractive OTK combo decks? Most likely you will die before even finding win condition, strategies and reaching more than 10 turns to play...

Im sure there will be future odd spell cards that will aid in Odd Quest Hunter in Wild (because they will have to release more aggro cards for Face Hunter in Standard after rotation) .... Not banning the Quest in Wild is a huge mistake because they will have to worry about designing new odd Aggro cards for Hunter and then Wild balance checking again.... same for Pirate Warrior, they will print new OP Pirate cards in the future.....
Just hoping that all these Wild nerfs can help put Reno Priest back on the Wild meta again, Tier 2 at least....

It's even worse than that, because Priest as a class can't even guarantee they draw the win condition in those ten turns without sacrificing the tools to stay alive. Reaching turn ten at all is hard, but most of the time it's pointless even if you do.

Yes I forgot about that lol, great nerf of rapid fire then.

On russian forume write "second phase of quest - need 3 pirate".

poison rogue nerfed hard, there was an big issue about how they were able to beat aggro decks, since aggro was supposed to beat this archetype
thief rogue is kinda hurt with wildpaw and scabbs, but will survive I guess
warrior quest slowing down was expected, I really hope this will be enough for other decks to become viable
now I regret not saving more Incanter's Flow, but at least mage being "fun and interactive" is gone

congrats for your bronze wintrates but let me show you how stats played by thousands of players look like:
Feel free to show me a big sample size to prove me quest priest is the best thing ever.
