Ive been reviewing the meta heavily both playing the burgle rogue deck and playing against it with other classes and my main takeaways are as follows:
1. Poison Rogue is a much more uninteractive, degenerate archetype that shouldn’t exist in this game compared to the burgle deck. It’s in the same vein as garrote except for the hope that you will draw a viper in time (if you’re running one) or otherwise lose because they’ll either give their hero stealth to stall until they kill you or Garrote you to death. It’s a showcase of all the worst aspects of this game all rolled into one and a deck that can highroll into an early 4/5 does not compare.
2. There is not enough attention in regard to the toxicity of this deck, maybe because some people see it as “fun” but Guff Druid is out of control at the moment. I’m willing to bet that if Scabbs or Rogue gets nerfed like everyone is asking for every other deck you see in ladder will be a Ramp Druid summoning two 8 cost minions and gaining 16 armor before discovering Yogg-Saron with a resizing pouch and stealing the game. This and the poision rogue list are way bigger problems than any tempo-based deck imo
I really don't want them to need gnolls. I love the older memey versions that used contraband. It could actually compete since the explosive starts completely shut down aggro, but slower decks could compete if they played defensivly. But then people replaced contraband with smite+ edwin and now you not only need perfect answers but also keep your life high. If anything they need to need smite imho. And not some mana nerf, I'm talking give your pirates rush and\or give smite rush or any combination, but somethings gotta give there.

Agree 100%. Rogue is enemy #1 but Druid will be a problem if they don't address the preposterous things Guff decks can do. Lightning Bloom is a major problem here, which I think rotates in April. But that's months away.
I don't find the deck to be that big of a deal either, until it comes to Mr. Smite + Shadowstep shenanigans. And since Mr. Smite is what most people dislike about Quest Warrior also, he might be the card to get a nerf. (maybe?)
I couldn’t believe it when I saw the reveal.
Take Leroy out of standard for being too strong and then just put in the same card for one more mana with huge upside in a meta full of mana cheating…
And the fact that the Juggernaut can summon it is absolutely ridiculous.
90% of my games are against Rogue in D5-legend. 90%. Whenever I see something other than rogue, I assume they are just playing with the masquerade. The numbers don’t lie. This deck is broken and needs to be fixed. Was the point of the gnoll + masquerade to be 2 4/5s with rush on turn 2? If so, mission accomplished design team.
Add in the weapon shenanigans, 2x 3/3 for 3 mana, and the broken hero card, and you’ve got a class that, if you want to win, should be the only class you bother playing. That is terrible design, and their idea of nerfing is to take 1 health off of razormane battleguard? Haha they are killing it.
Well, all I know is that when I play Burgle Rogue, I only ever burgle the trash cards of other classes. When my opponents play it, the cards from other classes are so good, they are a win condition unto themselves.

They call it burgle rogue but 2 cards in doesn’t make it burgle rogue it mainly a Agro deck that can get board fast.
