The speed at which animations play on your client is different than the speed at which they are actually issuing commands on their turn.. or.. something..
In before the usual group of "nO oNe PlAyS wIlD" show up: I just dealt with one of these decks last night while playing Linecracker / Mecha C'Thun Druid. I had an absolute boatload of armor, and still got snuffed on I think it was turn 7. Even with clicking on the cards he was playing, and counting the seconds in my head, it really does seem like he shouldn't have been able to get as many APMs as he did. But, per Kwikill's comment, that's not a real representation of what the other guy had on his screen.
I had a thought about Wild awhile ago: Since apparently the only folks that care about the format are the ones playing in it, would it be fair to have a more democratic approach to the card balance there? Every half a year, we could petition or vote for card changes, or something. They could even introduce a "no dust refund for card changes" to anything that's in the Wild bucket, I'd be totally fine with that! But my point being, I don't know a single player who doesn't see Sorcerer's Apprentice as problematic and degenerate.
I fully understand and accept that any degenerate or oppressive deck will be replaced with something else, but I'd totally take that over the current situation.
I've played the deck a few times last month for quick ranking. Once you get the combo going, if you play from the very start of the turn, you can usually do 30 points of damage just as the rope starts to burn. I've played mirror matches where the opponent starts the combo and the rope gets all the way to end, and just lingers while the spells play out. So the client doing the plays definitely is casting them faster than the receiving client is showing.
Just make sure you are clicking the spells away so you don't have to wait the extra 2 seconds for each cast.

If arrows were essentially being spammed at your face as opposed to targeting you periodically every 4-5 seconds, your opponent has hacked their client to cancel animations and they are cheating. You can report them for this, although in my experience this has never led to any action being taken by Blizzard

I have reported people in the past, specifically AFK odd-warrior bots from a few months ago. Those were especially irritating just because of what they relied upon: People just giving up because of them dragging out a match that had a predictable outcome. But yeah, the lack of any sort of posting or feedback on those things is really disheartening to the folks trying to follow the rules... sadly, a parallel situation to the United States as a whole, in some ways.
Edit: I need to add one thing: The reports ask for picture evidence of what you are claiming, and a surprising amount of what we see as issues can NOT be captured in a picture due to UI restrictions, etc. This is one of them: How do you show that someone pointed crap at your face 56 times when a turn is limited to less than that in seconds? You can't, really.
It's time apprentice got the nerf. It's ridiculous and getting out of hand now. What tickles me most about this whole situation with her is she isn't even a legendary, though her effect could easily warrant her the status if she wasn't already a common. Therefore blizzard wouldn't have to worry about massive amounts of dust refunds they normally would have to dish out on disenchanted legendaries. All they'd have to do is change her to "Spells cost 1 less but not less than 1." Bingo. All good to go with her.
Also Incanter's Flow needs to be changed to have a similar effect. "Spells in your deck cost 1 less but not less than 1." Buh-bye, APM!!
Also Blizzard needs to rework the rules on the time rope. I'm sorry, but when the rope expires, the turn ENDS. No matter how many times you click. End the damn turn when the rope expires. It's not fair these APM guys get all this extra time on their turns and I'm stuck with the standard time limits. Aren't hearthstone players suppose to follow the same equal rules when playing the game?
When ignite mage starts their combo, when the rope starts burning, I always close out of my client and go back in. It ends all the animations early and gives you back your turn.

The turn does end when the rope burns up, even if you hack and remove animations.
The different displays stem from the client-server-client interaction: while both clients are on the same clock, it takes a bit to transmit each player's actions to the other side.
if was a problem related to the shop would have been already fixed

I dont get it how people can cast so many spells in one turn. When i play Ignite Mage or APM mage, i lose like 25% of my games, just because of all the animation and blabla shit that doesnt let me cast stuff quick enough. So how you do it?
I feel like one turn before lethal im ready like if going for a race...but still doesnt work out.

Apparently people are de-activating the animations when they play these decks. Which is allowing them more time to ask spells faster and quicker than what the game is intending. So instead on 2-3 secs of the spell animation taking place before they can cast again. They are just dragging and dropping it off In less that a sec. Which adds up super quick in 1 full turn.
So while you are probably able to get off 15-20 cast. They are getting off 40-50 cart of the spell.
You shouldn't be able to cast that much spells in the first place, on the other hand, I would like to get some form of indication that Im actually dead while animations are still being played so I can concede and go to next game.
Its funny how blizzard came up with idea of "Banned cards", while majority of classes received none. Ignite mage is joke without Iceblocks.
That being said, looking forward for the upcoming "Wild balance changes" and display of blizzards lack of competence.
I literally just lost to it. The tough part is that it's quite hard to counter too. They run double Ice Block, have lots of tradeable minions to swallow up Dirty Rat or Mutanus hits, plus get the card draw. I would've won had my Zephrys gave me something to destroy a secret instead of lethal damage (ggrrrrr) but still.
This and APM mage are both pretty unfun decks to play against. Almost no one plays secret mage anymore because these are so OP. And even though things like Questline Hunter and Warrior are more popular, it still doesn't feel as bad to lose to IMO

playing against Warrior and Hunter, you're still actually playing the game. Playing against APM mage (and really all OTK decks in general) is watching your opponent play solitaire.

Does it feel like every one of them can do a 2 minute turn to close out the game?

..either way, still waiting on that Sorcerer's Apprentice nerf...

Picture it as playing speed chess by post.

Look at all of these PW complaining. What a sight!
Suck Forcerer's Apprentice!
you can do 45-50 dmg with no cheating on turn 6 with ignite mage in wild
Does "PW" mean "Pay To Win"? And you would use that as a defense for a degenerate solitaire deck? That doesn't add up, my man.
