Anytime there's a continuous reward for playing and losing, there are going to be bots. I doubt Blizzard cares a whole lot; otherwise, they'd stop rewarding people for losing games.

There have been tons of bots in hearthstone for years. Some people try to deny it, they are the same ones who will tell you the game is not rigged.
That is a strawman. Don’t fall for this guys dirty trick, the existence of bots has nothing to do with wether the game is rigged or not (which it isn’t, as proven by stats and numbers, but you know, people started to believe a while ago that their personal opinion is true no matter the facts)

Imagine believing the game is rigged, and still playing it and hanging out on forums. Like the village idiot on Sunday gatherings, that everyone kinda avoids, but he's there for no logical reason.
He's a Johnny One-Note: all he talks about is "rigged" and tries to steer every conversation back to that. The fact that I have not seen a single person deny that there are bots makes no difference to him.
3nnui, that effort was so transparent, it was sad.
Getting back to OP, yeah, bots are around, but not nearly as bad as it was a few months back. I don't see them very often. I do wish Blizzard would create an easier way to report these things, because it's pretty tedious trying to do so now.
A feature, which is triggered by a scatter of symbols, consists of a series of “free” spins, which operate automatically once the user initiates them. In some cases, it involves a separate game or set of winning combinations. In other cases, the game is identical to that of the main game on the EGM, but rewards are multiplied—the extent of multiplication usually relating to the number of scatters that triggered the feature.
Near misses and losses disguised as wins
Contemporary EGMs incorporate two structural characteristics known as “near misses” and “losses disguised as wins” which both generate a form of physiological response which is similar in nature to that exhibited from a win (Dixon, Harrigan, Sandhu, Collins, & Fugelsang, 2010; Harrigan et al., 2015; Harrigan, 2008). Their effect is to add a cost-free (for the venue) reinforcement to the reward schedule of the game.
Near misses
“Near misses” involve the display of a series of symbols which are perceived to come close to providing a reward, but which do not in fact deliver this. In Australia, the deliberate engineering of near misses is prohibited (i.e., the technical standards forbid game designs from deliberately programming near misses). However, by their very nature, any EGM must sometimes produce outcomes where a winning symbol is on the wrong line for a big win. It is not possible to have a standard gaming machine with randomly determined outcomes that does not on some occasions generate near misses.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fact is, we don't know how blizzard has coded the algorithm's in their game and this will leave it open for speculation. You must be quite a character if you trust Activi$sion Bli$$ard to implement a total random generator for hearth$tone ^_^
Yes, we don't know how it is implemented, but you can be sure that sites like HSReplay and ViciousSyndicate would pick up on ANY inconsistency that would indicate rigging.
That not knowing how it is implemented leads to some people to donning their tin-foil hat and claim it's rigged is unfortunate, but as others have already said, those people are convinced it is rigged and they don't need to back it up or consider proof of the contrary - because you either know that it is rigged or you are a Blizzard white knight/ boot licker/ shill.
But yeah, usually we just treat it like a Sunday gathering.

Another fact is that Hearthstone is not a slot machine and doesn't work like one, so your quote is completely out of place here.
It's rather telling, however, that you believe a PvP game like HS could ever function on the same principles as a single-player EGM. Do you know what solipsism is?

just rank up. u wont see any of them anymore in gold wild etc. bots are the best ! you can do achievments against them etc.
But honestly, i afk my way to lvl 400, i look like a bot but i am not. i play random cards just throwing them out there while i am at work so the games last longer.i get about 20wins a day just by people conceding :)

There are many bots in hearthstone, there have been for a long time. Aggro shaman bots were quite common once and that was years ago. They were a good deal harder to spot than the hero power/rope variety that is way more common (and obvious) these days.
That has sweet fuck all to do with hearthstone being rigged, or the people that claim it isn't (the sane). The people that will deny it are the vast vast majority. You are the crazy paraoid minority mate, with zero evidence except your own paranoia and inability to accept your losses as fair.
I have encountered 6 times bots in HS (5 times in wild, yesterday in standard).
How do i know its bot? Its always the same. All they do? Every 5-7 secs pressing heropower, nothing more! (mostly war, also hunter)
You can see him clicking already clicked hero power all time, not even skipping turn.
They re just farming XP and its soo stupid.
Wonder how blizz is going to fix this.
Did you guys meet them too?
Yes 2 times buts thats likely 5-6 months ago in standard
And i think 1 time in tavern brawl but i'm not sure bout this
the games may take a bit longer, but it is a guaranteed win... so i dont mind :D
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
Im sure you playing pirate war in wild, high % win chance with no joy, i want real opponent to have fun broo :D
You know its a bot in first 15 sec. Just concede.

You must be new.
Take a walk on the wild side...

Link to them stats and numbers ?

there are many tools available to automate grind in hearthstone. these "bots" do occasionally pop up in casual mode.

Yeah i love them to farm hard achievements , you can put Mindbreaker to prevent full turns till you level up and you dont find them.

Let them win...
Dead but dreaming
All I ever meet is hackers in this game unfortunately.
