This is such a weird discussion to read as someone that has no clue what's bee happening in the last 3 days. Are we talking about Irondeep Trogg? The card that afaik doesn't trigger its effect when killed with a spell? Like how does that counter literally anything? Spell heavy decks just kill it with removal, minion heavy decks just kill it with minions, otk decks don't mostly care about the opponent's board, oh and also just kill it with removal.
"hey I didn't play the game at all since the new expansion, hear me out though, you all suck and don't understand the new cards"
No. There is always gonna be a best deck. I think I like it to be one that doesn't straight up delete archetypes from existing (I'm looking at you Quest Warlock). While I agree Trogg might be problematic, the deck doesn't feel too bad to face and you can always tech in like a Silence or transform effect.

Hello, if you read these two comments, you may notice that "you all suck" is a propositional statement while "how is Irondeep Trogg a good card" is a question, hope that helps :)
Been playing HS since it started, and this is the first time i've ever complained about a deck.
Nuff said. Ridicolous, to say the least. It really is the "I'm not a racist, but" of Hearthstone-Threads.
On Topic: before nerfs should happen, there should be at least a week to let the meta fizzle out. Maybe a good, well-rounded counter deck pops up. The WR% is really high, though, so maybe I'm wrong. Interestingly enough, in Legend #1000 garrot rogue rules supreme.
Nope!! I dont see them as a problem! But what bothers me, is that im Only playing against braindead aggro ele shamans and same old pirate quest warrior!! Talk about nerf! Go after those two stupid deck instead!! Pala and lock are easily countered

Ok I'll give you an example that just happened to me.
I was playing beast aggro hunter, he was playing libram paladin.
He played Irondeep Trogg on turn 1, I traded Doggie Biscuit and drew Rustrot Viper, he played Hand of A'dal turn 2, I passed. On turn 3, he developed his board and I played Rustrot Viper on curve, which he killed next turn while keeping his trogg alive. No need to tell you what happened next, I'm a tempo deck and I'm behind 5 turns in a row and can't play my spells.
Wound Prey would do essentially nothing on turn 1, killing a trogg and summoning another one. On turn 2, I couldn't play Scavenger's Ingenuity without summoning a 3/3 trogg.
I'm not complaining about the loss, my opponent drew perfect curve and mine was terrible, I'm just showing you how good is the trogg, as you so politely asked. Not every spell is a removal, not every removal can deal cleanly with the trogg especially with buffs, not every deck has low cost removal spells or minions, and you don't draw them in every game if you have them.
Lol of course. Pally mains finally get some love but because its a minion based deck thats not a brainless otk, people bitch. Give it a rest. Paladin is in a good spot for the first time in YEARS. Learn to tech. It won't kill you to slot in a Viper or Sticky Fingers.
Trog's actually ok. You just have to actually have brains to figure out how to kill him before you accidentally cause him to snowball. It's not like he buffs when your opponent casts the spells, thank god. Then he would be broken,
I am sick of trogg and I am sick of paladin. If I play spell heavy deck, you might just loose turn 1. And what about 5 mana, give 5hp, cast concecration, equip 2/5 that reduces all damage AND makes your minions be 4/4 bigger. Ow, and how convenient that those bigger minions are in a class that has divine shields! Yes, priest and mass polymorph perhaps wreaks it, but it shouldnt be so, that a class can only be countered by 2 spesific classes in a game with 10 classes!
Although paladin is my main deck ATM and even though a lot of things can feel broken at the start of an expansion I must admit that the hero card feels dirty.
Yeah something about taking half dmg yeah that feels kinda crappy

Have you tired teching weapon removal into your deck? Viper's a pretty strong tool for weapon heavy decks/classes, or even that pesky Cariel turn. Having a Kobold Sticky Finger handy to steel the weapon aint a bad idea either.
Have you tried teching in weapons of your own to deal with trogg before he gets buffed? There are a few classes out there that let you cast weapons from hand before you play spells of any kind.
Silencing tech also helps in some cases. this kind of tech is a tad trickier to pull off but it can still help.
Believe me I get it. Teching is hard and tough to master, hell even I'm still learning how to do it in meaningful ways that balances my deck out. But until you start you'll never learn. Unlike big spell heavy decks, which ARE vastly more difficult to tech against, minion based control/midrange style of decks like paladin can be teched against a LOT better. Just learn what tech helps the most in your situation and you're good to go.
Sorry man, I play druid and I do run ×2 vipers for the warlocks. But druid class has no spells or weapons that can kill trogg with a shield. I cant tech another ×2 silences as well. I just accepted that paladin is auto-lose. I guess mages that do not run or draw polymorph are in the same spot. That minion is just broken, period. And paladins hero card should cost 7-8 mana for the value it gives. I mean, why does mage hero card cost 8 mana?
This is basically a fight between players who enjoy OTK/Combo Spell decks (Druid, Warlock, Mage, Rogue) and players who enjoy minion-based decks (Paladin, Hunter, Warrior, Shaman). Whose favor will Blizzard give in at this point?
DH & Priest are kinda in between as they both have access to Silence, spells and favor minion-based decks.
Everyone saying you can just counter it... Thats genuinely the method devs use to decide what needs to be nerfed. When a deck is so broken that every other deck is made just to specifically counter ONE SINGLE DECK. The deck is broken af, just admit it.

Deathrattle Priest wrecks Paladin, run 2 shards to silence them easy game 80% WR atm against them

Trogg should be legendary, and triggers "when" instead of "after"

Just play minions to battle the trogg. Simple as it is. If you are a spell heavy otk deck: you deserve to lose against it.

I went second, my hand was : coin, Wound Prey, Scavenger's Ingenuity, Doggie Biscuit, Warsong Wrangler.

OP misspelled Celestial Druid

Silence effects, transform effects etc...all counter Paladin great.....faceless manipulator etc....

yep definitely but they won't nerf it since it's not mage or warlock
