It will still be nearly auto-win against decks it was strong against and weak against decks it was weak against.
Increasing mana cost by one in a ramp deck is like removing one french fry from your combo meal and calling it a diet.
They clearly dont want the card to be competitive, at 7 Mana it was already slow af , for sure increasing 1 mana is quite relevant and if it's not ( which i hardly doubt) they gonna make sure to kill it soon enough , dont worry.

Being competitive has never been the problem. It has never been competitive, and heaven help us if it ever is. The problem with the deck is that it is polarizing, uninteractive, and popular.
Unless the card is made unplayable, it's always going to be somewhat popular because of the massive blow-outs it can create and because it totally shuts down certain decks. If you hate the decks CA always beats, you're not going to stop playing CA over this tiny nerf.

It was super competitive and effective, that's why it got nerfed.
It was the only Druid deck with a decent chance to win. There are so many cheap ways for many classes to clear the board, that faster druid decks are very weak now. Druid will probably be the worst class until the next expansion after this nerf.

Aggro Druid is in the top 10 on every tier list right now.

It was annoying because it was slightly too effective, but I would not call it competitive. It did OK on ladder because it was strong against popular decks, not because it was generally good against good decks. It certainly didn't pull its weight in the tournament scene.

Yeah, i wonder what the majority of the community think of this card. Personally, i don't understand why they thought it was a good idea to print it. Blizzard always say their goal is for both players to have interactive, fun games. This card might be the most frustrating and game ending card printed. Who cares about the winrate, the player experience is awful. Just nuke it by changing the effect.
Now that is my opinion, what are your thoughts, is the card healthy/unhealthy for the game?
It is one of the unhealthiest cards in the game, as its use is outright towards making it so the other person can't even play. See also Tickatus and how people plonked that thing down multiple times to wipe out the other person's deck. Warlock is very strong now so we don't see Tickatus as often, but it's still hanging around too.

Worst out of 9 classes or are we pretending that priest still exists? The only priest deck showing promise relied on rally summoning trogg, sethekk veilweaver, nazmani bloodweaver. On topic, pretty sure taunt, aggro and clown druid have better win rates than CA. The reason CA was “competitive” at masters is because it’s highly polarizing and you can ban a class at masters.
Celestial Alignment does the same thing as Illucia in aggro Priest: it locks your opponent out of the game, only that Illucia was helpful only if you had a board, while Alignment creates a huge ass board out of nothing. I still don't understand why they deleted Illucia, but they allow Alignment, Mage quest and Warlock quest.

I guess "competitive" can mean something different to people, but I think if the card is used by 5 out of 8 players in the world championship along with several occurrences back in the grand masters, it's pretty competitive compared to whatever is not played in the highest level competitions :)
That Alignment mostly shined because of all the OTK decks it farmed is another thing...
Why is this deck rated so bad but yet I ALWAYS lose against it? What's the counter.
Seriously handbuff paladin and pirate warrior are easier to handle even.
And why doesn't Blizzard set a limit to the number of cards each player can play each turn? This is so frustrating and demotivating
It's bad at high levels, where it still counters specific decks. So it can be a meta call in certain cases. However at low levels, players tend to have big problems pressuring their opponents, unless they play a really aggressive deck. This deck punishes such players a lot, so I will assume this is the case for you. Play more aggressively when facing druid. Don't be passive every turn until you get blown away.

Fine -- it was mildly competitive, but only because it's so polarizing. You can guarantee a win versus certain archetypes, and there is value in that. You may have noticed that a lot of tournament players didn't ban it because they knew they could score a guaranteed win against it. And that's the real problem, not just that the deck gets wins in a general sense.
So maybe I should have said it's extremely bad for the competitive scene because nearly every game is such a forgone conclusion, more than any other current archetype.
