With FIAV coming out next Tuesday, i'm curious what everyone's favorite standard rotation year was! Personally, i'd go with Year of the Kraken! That Old Gods expansion was so much fun, and compared to the last few years imo Karazhan was awesome too.
As for previous years. League of Explorers is my fav expansion. Can't wait for Alterac!
Year of the Krakken was great all year. Year of the Phoenix was great all year Year of the Mammoth, only up to set 1. Year of the Dragon, after Mammoth rotated Year of the Griffin... was complete garbage
It was the first rotation, which freshened up the game so much. And Whispers + Kara were such a great sets, and we still had Leage of Explorer's in the rotation, which was the best set.
1. Mammooth: High power level jump, but didn't make older cards feel like utter garbage, unlike the last 2 years. Realy cool cards, I actualy liked Death Knights, and Kobolds and Catacombs is in my top favourite expansions.
2. Dragon: 2 of my favourite PvE experiences, power level reasonable, overall pretty cool cards and much better story than current one imo.
3.Kraken: Good year, not much flaws.
4.Raven: Odd/even decks were kinda pain, but balanced cards overall, my issue is that most of cards were pretty weak, including legendaries.
5.Phoenix: Introduction of reward track was a good change, I also like DH class, but I feel like this year started a big power increase of cards, making older cards even more useless.
6.Griffon: Same issues as Phoenix, but also nothing realy good introduced, at least book of mercenaries is better than book of heroes, but that's not a kind of PvE I'm interested in anyway.
Gotta love year of the Kraken the most. Probably the most influential change in the history of Hearthstone. As others have said, so many iconic cards and mechanics were introduced during this period.
I found the year of the Griffin to be to worst yet. There is more content than ever, but it's all just recycled and bland. More of the same. It's been a long time since we really got something new that made me genuinely excited( ie. quests, hero cards, dungeon runs). Instead, we got quests, hero cards and old gods.....again.
I remember when Elise Starseeker came out was enjoying the game the most. By the way, the card's entrance still has the sound of a giant hitting the board for quite some time now.

Yeear of Naxxramas
Best to worst experience for me:
1- Year of the Mammoth
2- Year of the Dragon
3- Year of the Kraken
4- Year of the Phoenix
5- Year of the Griffin....
So as for me, the game design in the past 2 years has not been in the direction that favors my play style
Started around Un’goro.
So of these its year of the dragon. But loved the undead herocards in KotfT.
Missing some in the topic, like whichwood. Loved Shudderwok aswell.
Year of the Krakken was great all year.
Year of the Phoenix was great all year

Kraken, easy.

The year without cancel culture
Year of the Kraken - Awesome start with Whispers, so-so middle with Karazhan, but terrible end with Gadgetzan
Year of the Mammoth - The highest power level jump in HS's history, but otherwise it was the renaissance year of the game
Year of the Raven - The most minimalistic year in HS's history, many arena-like cards, except for Baku, Genn, Shudderwock and Zilliax
Year of the Dragon - The first whole-year themed expansion package, gradually increasing power level, increased balance change rate
Year of the Phoenix - Terrible start with Outland, really decent middle with Scholomance and lackluster end with Darkmoon
Year of the Gryphon - Decent start with Barrens, awful middle with Stormwind, hopeful end with Alterac
I would say that Mammoth and Dragon held the most consistent quality out of these.
I feel like Kraken is a bit overrated, as Whispers tend to heal most players' wounds caused by Gadgetzan.
Obey C'Thun, Praise The Darkness, Pet Hakkar, the Soulflayer, Love Yogg-Saron, Hope's End

My bad, made this at 2am. Fixed!
