Seriously - how did this get through multiple iterations of balance checks? It has tempo, it has draw, it has consistency and it has inevitability (and with Mr Smite it has burst as well). Even with them skipping turn 1 (for quest) you can literally be half dead by turn 5 (I have a pic for proof if anyone cares).
While I realise I was foolishly playing preist, I survicve to turn 5. I had 14 health and they had a board of 2/2 (x3), 2/5 taunt (x1) and 28 health. I played minions every turn and they are 1 pirate away from their quest.
They've basically completed their quest with no adverse impact - none at all. It's just stupid.
Before you internet peoples say - "just play aggro" (or whatever smart arse comments are going to be forthcoming), try and think about things in an objective way. Quests are supposed to have a downside in exchange for a reward. Pirate warrior has no real downside, lots of upsides, and a quest which basically wins the game through attrition.
I seriously doubt any decks can really compete with this, all becuase Blizz buffed some pirates, printed some stupid pirates and can't understand the basics of their own game (and in all seriousness - I genuinely don't think they have the game at heart. Their focus is money - plain and simple. If they thought they could get away with a battlecry - "deal X damge for each dollar donated" I think they would print it).
Funny to read this 2 months after I stopped playing standard. Several balance patches, nothing has changed... Quest warlock still the best deck and a new monster - pirate warrior (ofc also with the quest) came up... Blizzard have to admit their mistake and remove those quests like they did with Baku / Glenn. Untill they do, no point and no fun playing constructed. I ll stick to BGs and even Mercs.
Playing diamond 10 to 5... I'd say 80% of my games were against quest warrior. All the same exact deck copied from this website. I did manage to get to diamond 5 playing elemental shaman. I'm stopping at diamond 5 because I can't even think about quest warrior slow mode from 5 to legend.
The only nerf I'd like to see with quest warrior is to make the quest 3-3-3 to progress in it. Just to slow it down by two more pirates. Not kill the quest though. A lot of my games against quest warrior they were done with the quest by turn 6-7 and the final quest minion was out turn 7-8.

So, the mage quest was also kinda busted (but much less so now). But at least there was a chance with Crossroads Watch Post and Ogremancer. With warriors there is nothing you can do (as far as I can tell). We don't even have Golakka Crawler in standard to compensate, and even if we did I don't think it would matter.
Yeah it's terrible. Especialy in wild. If they highroll they can play Rokhara turn 5 otherwise like 6 or 7 and sometimes they don't even need her with Smite. Iam really pissed. I would like if games had at least 10 turns. Maybe if they set quest rewards cost to 8 or 10 mana it would help, but I would love to see it go. They should have make questlines like druid one. Its strong, but easily countered with taunts and armor/heals. I dont like decks which you can't counter.
Quest warrior isn’t that great and is countered easily. It’s strong, yes, but it’s not completely broken as being said here. Handlock is the most powerful deck right now and it dunks all over quest warrior. Quest mage warped the meta badly during early stormwind and this isn’t even the first nerf to it. Quest mage was never strong, it was polarizing and people got autopilot wins because it was so polarizing. Anyway, if you are complaining about seeing too much quest pirate, counter it and enjoy. In wild though, yeah, it’s insanely powerful, but wild is a broken format. Wait until the 10 hero cards breaks wild a different way.
Nah the hero cards are too slow, they have no chance against turn 5 Juggernaut. Dead knights heroes are strong and almost noone play them because they are just too slow. I just dont think there should be consistent way to gain infinite value at turn 5 or 6 or even 7.
At this point, I just accepted the fact that the devs are fans of these OP pirate decks to push them as much as possible..
and also, they always take their longest time to check the balance on weapon classes for some reason (Hunter/Warrior/Paladin) while the magic classes are always on their nerf radar target (Mage/Warlock/Priest).....
Hopefully, with new expansion coming out, they will prioritize the design and usage of newer cards, and once, they see most newer cards see zero play, they will do something about Warrior questline...

I would add - just because something is more OP (e.g. druid, or warlock) it doesnt mean that warrios isn't OP.

Quest Mage never reached as high of Win rate as Quest Warrior. It was just played a ton and people complained about always playing against it.
