Isn't Oracle of Elune the real problem? Shouldn't this go down to 3 health?
Razormane Battleguard puts taunts in the way, meaning you have an extra hurdle to get through before being able to kill the actual problem cards.
I'm guessing that's why they want it at lower health, so that the barrier to killing it after killing the taunt is lower and it's also conceivable to just AoE their board and get it. (if people ran AoE that is)

Yeah, I'd have to say that games are harder to win when the druid gets coin + battleguard + 2 mana taunt on turn 1 than anything else because of the fact that it's now protected.
Having less health will allow it to be dealt with more easily by most classes.
Course, that doesn't mean that it won't be difficult to deal with and can still snowball, but I think it's appropriate to hit this card.
No, they're definitely nerfing the right card. IMO, it should discount the card but have the restriction of "but not less than (1)"
Almost ANY cost reduction card should have the "but not less than (1)" text added. The examples where it's appropriate for it to be reduced to 0 is extremely limited in my mind, and most of those belong to one class (Rogue) that doesn't really make it an egregious issue (Shadow Step reduction, Preparation, maaaaaybe Octobot, etc.) because that class is already built on Combo'ing cards together into big plays, not getting ridiculous chains of value like Mage and Druid do.
Why not both? There's still potential for a hugely explosive board with -1 HP on both Oracle and Battleguard, they're still must-remove cards. But it's not automatic.
Oracle gets a LOT worse if her health is nerfed because she may not always be protected by taunts. Battleguard is always protected if played correctly. Nerfing Oracle makes her unplayable outside of the Battleguard combo.

I think targetting mana reduction cards in this meta is a good start, oracle can be busted too and could do with 3 health so you can get punished for just dropping it on turn 3
Oracle has no business having 4 health for such a powerful effect, the difference between having 3 and 4 health for an early game minion is massive, most aoe cant deal with it, which is why taunt druid has no reliable counter rn.

It's easier to deal with Oracle of Elune - to get value from her you need to play her on Turn 5 (unless combined with other mana cheating tools).
Razormane Battleguard is more problematic, and it shows in the win-rates when he is drawn.

For me the correct nerf will be 1 mana increase instead health reduction.
