I remember when Blizzard first brought in "Rush" and oh how they peddled that it was basically gonna replace "charge" in the long term.

This is one of two new charge cards this year. Hell, one of two new charge cards since... what? Witchwood? And they said that thing about card generation right before United in Stormwind came out. They never said Rush was going to replace Charge.
I think Pirate Warrior is annoying as hell, but Mr. Smite isn't really the problem he just feels the worst to lose to.
i totally disagree. i don't even play my quest mage anymore as the winrate against quest warrior is around 0%-10%. And to the other commenters: it isn't smite or juggernaut that make quest warrior so strong. If they win they usually do in turn 4 or 5 and that's just bullshit. I agree with nerfing the quests but still pirate warrior would be op without the quest so they need to nerf some of the cheap pirates too. Especially defias cannoneer but that alone wouldn't even change that much. Hunter needs a quest nerf too but it is by far not as annoying. Quest mage is only better than some of the other quests which i accordingly don't see very often.
Blizzard has already shown inability to have anything resembling balance in this (and really any other of their games, WoW pvp is also always just a bad joke where a few flavor of the month classes can get a kill within a global cooldown and others are "fair" and do nothing.
Not Freebooter that card doesn't even feel good, 2 dmg while receiving face dmg.
Cannoneer feels absurd though, and surely Bloodsail Deckhand is part of the problem too, albeit less suspicious.
No I don't blame Smite, but the Pirate Quest needs to get nerfed and slowed down by one extra Pirate at the very least, so it's about in line with the (nerfed) Shaman Quest.
What they need to do is nerf the quest like they did the others so you have to play 9 pirates instead of 7. How many times are they completing and playing Rokara on turn 5/6? its damn ridiculous.
Even more sad is that pirate warrior was actually one of the best balanced decks before the dead mines and now is just the most tiresome and overplayed deck in both formats. Doesn't even matter that there are many different versions of the deck, I'm just so tired of seeing that quest, people can go back to playing mage for what I care...

Defias Cannoneer
Stormwind Freebooter
Sword Eater
They have way too much value for their cost. If they nerfed these the deck would not have that disproportionate early burst it has now
