I was looking through my collection once again, and I come across way too many of these cards. C'thun, Dungar, Faceless Manipulator, all the core cards. I think it's stupid that we can't disenchant cards they give us free golden versions of. One or the other, if not both should be disenchantable. I mean, how many classic C'thun decks are still out there? meanwhile he and Marin the Fox are sitting in everyone's collection collecting.. well, dust.. and not the blue sparkly kind we know and love.
All i'm saying is, this "uncraftable" feature, should be removed, i wanted to get everyone's opinions on it. I for one am contacting Blizz, not that they'll do anything... or even respond.
I see where you're coming from but given that the cards were free, this seems a little churlish to me. I would prefer that Blizzard give me a bunch of free dust, but getting a bunch of free cards doesn't seem like too terrible an ordeal.

ah, i didn't mean to come off as rude or mean spirited, or surly. It's just a bit frustrating having dead cards years later. I'm a fan of free cards too, but i just think they should become disenchatable after a certain amount of time, such as when the card rotates to wild.
Core cards (pre-existing ones, not the brand-new ones like Taelan Fordring) are all "temporary" copies for this year. You can still dust the "real" cards if you want dust but they may not be in the next year's core set.
I agree about C'Thun etc. At least give the option to disenchant if we have the both golden and non-golden copies of the same card like Kael'thas Sunstrider.
Yeah, I'm all for the idea of being able to dust them if we choose to. They gave them out for free, sure, but if you don't play wild, they will likely sit there, unused... forever. Heaven forbid I have a quarter of the dust worth of a legendary to save up for something else >_>
I'm just curious... some cards are given out for free before an expansion, like Archmage Vargoth or Silas Darkmoon. If you didn't get him for free you could craft him, but then does he become un-disenchantable? Or they can internally separate which cards you receive for free and which ones you crafted?
This card is rather infuriating to me. It is one of the bonuses of purchasing The Dalaran Heist. Not only is it technically a card that you pay for, but they don't even update it anymore. It was alright when it came out, and then they updated it after The Year of the Raven rotated, but after it rotated to Wild, players got no compensation for it. I really hope they do something about this one day.

There's only one major card that I can think of that I really don't understand not being able to dust.
That card is Zayle, Shadow Cloak. (Specifically the Golden one.)

At this point I'd be happy just to get the ability to get rid of them with no dust reward.
