Not sure why they just nuked her. Who is playing her now?
Yeah, this is the first "must dust" nerf in a while, right? Maybe Ilgwnoth, but even with the big nerf there, you could imagine him being useful in the future. Hard to imagine that with the new Illucia.
I’d say there’s a 99% chance that you’re the type of person that always complains about what’s on top. So does a nerf to anything REALLY matter since you’ll be back here making forum posts about the next top dog.
Scratching my head on the Mindrender Illucia nerf. The dev notes say that it was originally designed as a "late game disruption tool" but was being abused as an aggro card. Since it is no longer able to disrupt your opponent and is unlikely to be very helpful in aggro, what possible purpose does this card serve?
Very glad to see The Demon Seed banned from Wild. Maybe we'll get a healthier meta there as a result.
Good changes; wild players will still find things to complain about
Wild will be a lot healthier after this. Not complaining in the slightest. It'll take a few weeks to settle down, but probably end up similar to pre-UiS with secret mage top dog, moderately varied decks, and a few new decks like Q pirate warr.
Mage Quest and Celestial Alignment untouched is quite surprising, I guess Devs compared and decided based upon internal Data.
Still facing Mage and Druids will remain a rather cancerous experience, despite both not being main players in High legend, but Mage is just the "People's class" and the Matchup we'll have to endure the most for (at least) until the release of the Miniset.

Don't forget everyone else. There must always be a bitch king.
Still, I'm hopeful for the new meta without warlock just drawing their deck as fast as possible, discounting their hand a million times and then killing you with unavoidable face damage.
I guess this may still happen sometimes, but not every other game now at least... I would hope.
Every week, more nerfs to Warlock. The warlock play testers they have at Blizz must be the worst HS players in the world. The first game I played with the new set, it was obvious how broken the Warlock quest was.
Can't believe after the player base moan about Tickatus for half a year, they manage to print the card that make Tickatus a perfectly balanced card lolz

They don’t need it anymore. They can empty their own deck and pass the fatigue damage onto the opponent. What a terrible idea for a quest. Every card that was balanced because it had the drawback of damaging your hero or destroying cards in your deck is now actually a bonus, since damaging your hero is the whole point.

Just thinking about the Warlock quest for a sec, it's a shame that it wasn't more fun. "Burn your deck, kill an opponent with your fatigue" isn't super exciting. I mean, Questlock doesn't even run Hellfire.
Maybe if the reward didn't work on fatigue damage, with the progress a tad easier, it would have been more fun, and actually do something cool with the self-damage mechanics. Instead... draw and burn your deck to win. Yawn.
The quests/rewards are still broken anad completely un-fun imo and tbho I think there are so many cards which are broken at the moment I don't even know where you would start to fix things. Nerfing Priest a bit more and buffing some warrior cards into OP territory doesn't seem like the solution if you ask me. Maybe the warlock quest nerf will matter, but all I can see happening is warlock disappearing due to aggro.
If the quest reward is basically "win game", they should take longer to complete and there should be more deck design considerations other than "complete the quest asap".
Even though I think the win condition from the Priest quest is stupid, I think the overall design is much better. It's flexible in terms of which cards can be included, there are decision points in terms of whether to play an "on curve" card that doesn't advance quest or hold on to it in the hope you get what you need to progress to the point when you can. You need to balance the early game quest completion vs. the number of higher mana cards etc. There are counter plays once the quest is complete (Mutanus - not ideal but something) and playing the battlecry minion doesn't immediately signal the end of the game. Given the meta I would be amazed if anyone ever managed to complete the priest quest with any regularity (never mind play the 10 mana spell).
Top balance all round - good job Blizz.. /s
p.s. if pirate warrior becomes the new king that just means Blizz fucked up again trying to fix their fuck up. It will be like Luna's Pocket Galaxy all over again
Confused by all the complaining about mages when all reporting I see says mages are not among the top decks right now.
They do have a bit of an edge over warlocks and somewhat quest shamans, so I guess it stems from the flood of people playing those?
On the topic of the nerfs:
Glad to see the change to illucia. Much less oppressive/irritating now. Brute will probably inch up higher in mana cost like flesh giant has. Going up by one mana may slow it to being plonked down on turn 4 instead of 3.
Interested to see if they end up tweaking warlocks more still. Needing more self-damage is good. Given how much healing they still have access to I could see removing or reducing one of the lifesteals.
Buffs to warrior because it's so rare to encounter them right now. The others are mostly whatever.
Blizzard's nerfs definitely seem to target 'non-games' where someone can't even do anything to try and fight back. Makes me wonder if they will go after astral Druids since that's their whole thing, and about as annoying as illucia was.

So is this going to make The Demon Seed a Martyr Card for the foreseeable future in Wild?

and no nerf for OP broken mage! Well done, Bliztaardz

Crazy that Quest Mage is going untouched it seems way more toxic than Quest Shaman to me.

Yeah i really hoped they would nuke Celestial Alignment, it's just very unfun to play against.
True. I dont believe they "buffed" Wildfire out of even mage...

Just to make sure, dusting Illucia grants full dust? So collection achievement wise I can craft her and the disenchant without spending dust?
Those who cannot remember their card history are doomed to repeat it.
