I hope they re-design the priest questline and not illucia. I've never lost to a questline priest this meta. It was cool in paper, but currently impossible to execute
Illucia is possibly the most annoying card, and is basically just to skip the other person's turn or try to throw away as many of their cards as possible, so I definitely wouldn't mind it being nerfed/changed.
Its up there with astral Druids where they look to win by making it so their opponent can't even play.
Irebound brute probably getting a nerf similar to warlocks flesh giant. Had a demon hunter plonk down three of them on turn three the other day.
I don't think the priest quest will get a redesign, it's currently not great because of the faster decks but those are (hopefully) getting some nerfs so it would make sense for them to do that first then reasses the whether priest quest needs it. It realistically can't be buffed too much because it literally wins the game (although since it can't be played the same turn you complete the quest, and then you have to draw the spell I suppose it could be tweaked). I do think in its current state, as soon as Alura rotates it'll see 0 play. Can't get out elekk early against aggro, can't keep up with aggro and can't tutor the shard.
It's def gonna be about illucia, and it's def because of how it's played in shadow. In non-shadow decks it can screw over bad players, but it's also easy to misplay because you give your hand away for a 3 mana disadvantage at theirs.... But the way it's used in shadow there's no down side and it's too strong.
Id like to see it reverted to 2 mana, and you get a *copy* of opponents hand for 1 turn. You can still punish bad plays by the opponent, people shouldn't be too salty because you're not entirely messing up their plans and they keep their cards, and it'd stop the way it's being used to stall in shadow
I predict that no matter what they do, there are so many diverging opinions about what they should do that there will be just as many disgruntled players after the patch as there are now.
And yes, the redesign is definitely Illucia, which is being used in a way they probably didn't foresee when they designed the card.
You play your entire hand of minions on the board, play illucia and give your opponent an empty hand and 1 draw from your deck, (which will be a cheap minion) to deal with it. This basically gives the priest a free turn of board development and damage.
Could you explain how MI is being used in Shadow Priest.
Its used in aggro shadow priest, and u play her as a way to lock ur board in since u will be with few cards in hand or none and u basically force ur opponent to skip an entire turn.
back when it was 2 mana it was nerfed to 3 cause control priest could just make an aggro deck lose tempo by switching hands. now the turns have tabled and its used by aggro priest to force opponents to no mess with your board state
What's so wrong with Illucia? At 3 mana I don't get why so many complaints about her, is it a "wild thing"?
Apparently in some game u crap your hand out and u get opponent hand and opponent sits with no hand. Never saw this happen in any game I played I don’t see them nerfing her. It priest quest if anything.

The redesign is Illucia 100%, ppl have said here plenty of times that the only confirmation we need is an official one. Its not a nerf its a redesign. tho dust compensation should be in order
Most likely result is Aggro-Druidstone. This cancer deck has one bad matchup named Quest Shaman, and it is only because of Perpetual Flame (which can also be generated from a Wandmaker) and Perpetual Flame is likely to get nerfed.
This is obvious from a mile away --- so prepare for nerfs #4 after incoming nerfs #3 just screw it up more.
Purpose of the patch is to get the tryhards and addicts to have to waste resources to make new decks while the rest of us point and laugh. Team 5 is awful.
The only redesign for priest, Illucia turn into 3 manas 1/3 battlecry "If your opponent control a quest you win the game".
Solve all problems in this meta.
Idiots at team 5 who wanted quests again… such cancer. Quests should not be again printed.
You: “ Yeah I am always right, everyone else with a different opinion is stupid and of course my opinion is representative for the community because a hundred people complained on Reddit…”
people insulting the developers on a personal level and calling them dumb (while making grammar mistakes at the same time…) disqualify their opinion regardless of its content.
Like i predicted a while ago, as soon priest got a somewhat playable non heal, non revive, non copy deck, people WILL cry for a nerf. Because priest isnt allowed to be effective. This "community" is so predictable.

Nerfs/buffs ALREADY?
Its Illucia, its being redesigned, the current effect is being gutted. A streamer has confirmed this about a week ago

Why on earth would they even consider to redesign Illucia? I think i'm the only person, who actually consider it to play this card xD
Something about Shadow Priest is much more likely.

Eh? Most every priest I see runs that card.

Thanx for the replies. I figured that was the case.
Patch will suck. Will make the meta even worse.
