I'd be sad. It's like anything in the game, it will come and go. For standard anyway. I like how they operate, even if they feel too fast and often oppressive in certain decks. The thing is, they are not automatic wins anymore, they are beatable, and once they rotate out, it will be a whole new game again. Maybe even by next year's core rotation it will be different already.
The fate of wild is perhaps more unfortunate, since these will just always be there now. But I think wild players will either find a way to punish warlock for their nonsense, or it will actually be addressed in future patches. Hard to say.
I hated the early hall of fame of Baku and Genn so I guess I would be sad

What do you mean ? There are plenty of decks that punish demon seed warlocks already. Most aggro decks and multiple questline decks. But you are otherwise correct, wild players will always find a way.
There are so many cards in wild it is quite impossible to NOT find a counter deck to pretty much anything

Pardon my ignorance of the format again, still haven't delved in very far. My knowledge of certain deck's oppression in wild comes only from what people say about it here and a few select videos I've watched. Seems like quest warlock is just the new big fish, like secret mage was. Not unbeatable, but can still be very tough to face.
OP's question was directly referencing standard, anyway. I probably shouldn't have mentioned it.
In STD? Meh. Wild is another matter entirely; you can grind to D5 with control decks by avoiding locks, but it's a slog. Aggro or QLock are heavily dominant in Wild (aggro to punish QLocks getting greedy).
Honestly, I play the hunter Q for the first two rewards. Tavish is just a free threat, and I rarely get much burst from the reward, owing to being control. I'd be sad if they removed the quests entirely, as HP targetting minions and then being free is a load of power against aggro.
I hated the early hall of fame of Baku and Genn so I guess I would be sad
I'm the exact opposite. I quit Hearthstone near the end of Witchwood because I was so sick of them, and I started up again immediately when they got Hall-of-Famed.
I'm not completely sure the Questlines themselves bother me all that much, but the swirl of negativity they've caused is definitely making it harder to enjoy the game. So many bad design decisions went into the Year of the Gryphon expansions that I've had trouble pinpointing exactly which ones are the most bothersome to me personally.

I don't pardon you cause there was no offense. I guess i'm a little tilted when I see someone claim that there is no counter to demon seed or something like that, so pardon ME :D
And yes if you don't have the right deck, it is very much like secret mage, it just feels pointless and unbearable, that people are right about. But honestly anything that plays a strong tempo turn 1 and a good curve is good to go against demon seed. Or any combo deck that can unleash hell as fast as demon seed (questline shaman or garrote rogue for instance). Or smorc decks like odd hunter (aggro or questline versions both work) or shadow priest.
And any homebrew deck that falls in these categories will work as well, people need to remember that. You don't have to go with T1-T2 decks.

Oh yeah, definitely, it's hard at times to enjoy a game everybody else seems to hate. But I like to keep in mind forums are just a vocal minority, and people who enjoy things don't have time to tell other people they enjoy things, because they are using this time to enjoy things.
Blizzard: Shut up, here, buy mercenaries instead. Pre order for only 3 easy payments of 49.99
One of the bundles is $30 and the other two are $50 each, so the total is $130, not $150. It's the exact same price as pre-ordering both bundles for a Standard expansion, but I doubt anyone would need to order Mercs bundles three times a year. Also, if you are f2p in Standard, you can just as easily be f2p in Mercs.
Mercs is a new, separate option. It's not more expensive than normal Hearthstone, and you can ignore it or play for free if you don't want to pay. Obviously, free play will never be as fun as paid play in either mode, but it's pretty naive to expect otherwise.
After watching the Mercs gameplay video, I have to say I'm strongly considering making the switch. I don't think I'd ever play both, and I also doubt I'd get into the PvP scene in Mercs. Without PvP, there's not much of a meta to worry about, so Blizzard's constant design blunders won't be as impactful to me personally.

I dont want them to be deleted. They are a part of the game now. There is also no reason to delete all, just because a singel one is retarded op.
Yes, its only one single Questline that ruins the game. They also tried to nerf it, but failed miserably. Maybe they do it on purpose, so ppl go buy mercenaries crap, since ladder sucks ass. I play only wild from bronze 10 to legend almost every month. What Questlines have i seen and which are a problem?
DH - Non existent..i tried it, its fun. But not very consistent.
Druid - Very rare... can be very fast, but relies to much on the hero attacking
Hunter - The odd version is quiet popular, but can be beaten by aggro and control
Mage - Rare, i guess other mage decks are just better (Mozaki, or Ignite)
Paladin - Non existent, i dont even really know, what it does
Priest - Way to slow
Rogue - Seen maybe once in 200 games, dont even know, what it does
Shaman - Very rare...i think, it could be powerful because of the high burst potential, but i dont see it on the ladder
Warlock - Currently 41% of my opponents from B10 to D10 and it will get worse from D5 to legend
Warrior - Its very good and fast. It can be beaten by aggro and control
The problem with the warlock Questline is, that you cant play anything else then fast decks. It takes combo and especially control decks absolutely out of the game. It ruins how the game works. A control deck should start to shine after turn 6-7, if you are not almost at 0hp already. Thats not the case against Questline warlock. Big taunts, Reno...everything is useless. Also the Quest is way to easy to complete.Assuming you will meet 20-40% of this deck on your climb, you just cant afford to play anything else then super aggro, if you want to have a positive winrate.
So why take away all Questlines, if there is only a problem with one? (maybe its a little different in standard, i dont know)
I would be happy for Warlock,Mage and Shaman one being deleted. Maybe Priest one too. It doesnt see much play now but it will definitely create problems if the meta slows down.
The other questlines are pretty balanced. The Rogue questline is exactly how questlines should have been. Fun to play with nice flavor, not gamebreaking and not making half decks unplayable.
I don't play standard in an all-aggro meta / cancer meta.
I made legend in May with a Control Paladin and loved playing the deck. I made legend in June with Face Hunter and did not really enjoy playing the deck (but I like the stomping on cancer decks part).
So I'm playing Battlegrounds until standard looks like something I would want to play again.
A meta where cards that cost 7 mana or more cannot see realistic play in a viable decks is not for me.
Infinite burn free candy mages and fatigue myself Warlocks is not the Hearthstone I want.
I'm indifferent about Standard, as I only play Wild mostly. I might be sad if the Quests were removed from Wild. I haven't been playing Warlock, but am having a blast playing Odd Hunter Quest. With a good draw I can Hero power down a Warlock. And it's fun turning the table on APM mages and pinging them to death in a single turn.
I was all about the Warlock quest at first, but I never seem to get the good draws when I play it. Whether Giant or Fatigue version, I always seem a step behind.

Grammar is the difference between knowing your crap, and knowing you’re crap.
This is an all-or-nothing question. It's not about which ones are good or bad, or which ones could be salvaged, or how to make them better.
It's quite simple. If all Questlines were removed from Standard before the third expansion of 2021, how would you feel? I'm genuinely curious.

I quit standard because of questlines so I would be happy!!!
No. The only questlines that are oppressive are Warlock, Mage, and maybe Priest if those two get nerfed.
Hunter quest is a bit annoying but manageable. The rest are pretty balanced for the current power level.
