There's a lot of people going crazy saying this expansion just killed HS and that it's all solitaire and OTKs now but seriously just chill, the expansion hasn't been out for even a week, people are trying new stuff, a lot of bad stuff. Once people realize that a lot of old decks are still good and that those decks do pretty well against this new "monsters" then they'll stop complaining.
Face Hunter is still good, Rush Warrior is still good, Deathrattle DH is still good, Elemental Shaman is still good and all those decks are great against all the OTK decks that you keep complaining about. The only reason the OTK decks are running rampant is because everyone is either playing bad decks or playing those same decks and at the end of the day most mirrors are decided on draws.
If you're going to worry about something then it should be the fact that getting to turn 7-8 is very hard now with all the OTKs and aggro, that's a more realistic issue and honestly not even really. Once people realize aggro decks shit all this combo decks running around then combo decks will lose winrate and aggro will rise and then tempo/mid-range decks will farm those and there will also be control with healing and/or lots of board clears and then combo decks will farm those slower strategies.
I'm not saying there aren't some cards that need some tuning in the form of nerfs (and hopely buffs as well) but please calm down, the meta is not ruined, the game is fine, it'll stabilize in a couple more days, people are just trying the new stuff and you are also just probably playing a bad deck or you have a bunch of bad cards in a good archetype. Also people are sleeping on Aggro Shadow Priest, that deck is good, is pretty much Face Hunter levels of fast, that deck is no meme.
Every single expansion in the past, and I really mean every one, there are people that said “this is the worst expansion ever/the game’s dead/etc” and it turns out to never be true.
They’re just whining, and they’re not going anywhere. And if they do, who cares, they are the vast minority who just like to bitch and moan about everything.
Blablabla, every expansion is the same, ppl saying HS is doomed then guys like you two come up n claim, no no its not that bad, blabla. Still, the new expansion had a huge impact, especially in Wild
Yes, there is a lot of whining with each expansion.
But I do not remember any expansion where so many classes (DH, Rogue, Warlock, Mage) had otk potential so fast (turn 5 quest completed is not that rare) and consistently. Mozaki Mage comes to mind - they had to draw legendary minion (Mozaki) to perform OTK. Neither Mage nor Warlock nor Rogue really need to find any legendary. DH still needs Ilgynoth but has the most powerful draw engine and can do it fast. All of these decks are quite invulnerable to armor gain too. And they still have room for improvement.
I don't think the game is dead, but the balance between archetypes has been changed. Don't know for how long and how nerfs will impact it, but it is different game for now.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you like it so be it. I have played since day 1 and every expansion the most fun in HS is the following weeks after a new set. This time I have already stopped playing. I just don't like the meta, it is solitaire most the time. You can cringe at that word as much as you want but its true. Quest Mage, Lock and OTK DH and Rogue just plain suck to play against. Its not fun. Untill nerfs or changes happen I won't play or spend a cent. If you like it good luck to you.
This time, people not hating just a single card or single archetype. It's the meta that created by a lot of solitaire deck. Each with elaborated deck building to get the unbeatable combo faster just like how yu gi oh does. You draw faster, you win. I'm never complained about the early expansion before. In fact, I always experimenting and the first 3 days of expansion is always the most fun experience everytime. But this time, no it's not.

yeah, it's absolutely a great sign, that even streamers don't play after the launch. even thijs, who is always positive said it's not so good and why even put a 6 mana card in your deck, if you can never play it
The game is very fast-paced, so it's rare to get past turn 8 and there's no control at all. Team 5 took everything I liked about Hearthstone, so yeah, it's pretty dead to me. It's sad they turned HS into a toilet game...
I love playing Aggro decks since 2015 but i dont like the Meta either. You have to kill the enemy before turn 5 or 6 otherwise he otks you. I dont have a Problem with Games that only last till turn 6 but i have a problem that you realy have no interaction with enemy minions or the enemy in general. All he dose is trying to survive and clear the board until he can OTK you way to early. If you want that kind of gameplay you should play the PvE.
I don’t think the point is the current meta is bad but it is an accumulation of everything HS has been shifting towards over the last couple of years, and it’s just reached a boiling point for some people and I think draw is the biggest problem. Classes used to have to play cards like Loot Hoarder and Bloodmage Thalnos to get through their deck and you still only had 3 or 4 cards in your hand a turn. Now nearly every class can consistently draw 2-3 cards a turn from turn 1 and even the class with the weakest draw just discovers an extra 20 useful cards a game. Draw and hand size should have been kept as a class strength like in warlock (see also healing which since they released their outlines for class identities a few years ago seems to have gone out of the window). Being out of cards feels bad though and I don’t think blizzard want anyone to feel bad anymore while they’re playing HS. They want everyone to have massive plays every turn and each game to end in an explosion of colours and fancy effects at the cost of considerably dumbing down the game.
Fact is that half of my collection is 100% useless because the cards cost more than 6 mana.
Losing to aggro on turn 5-6 is fine. Because if you haven't lost by then, you most likely win.
Losing to a combo deck on turn 5-6 however, is absolutely not fine. They should have to work harder to win the game. It's unbalanced. There's nothing you can do but sit and watch and try to win with an aggro deck.
So you can defend this expansion all you want. The game is overtuned and bad atm and it'll take a bunch of nerfs to fix it.

Except Priest. Their card draw ability still feels vanilla compared to everyone else. Most cards want you to spend 2 mana on your heropower and then more mana to play that minion with the draw effect. All that for one card.
alot of decks see plays... but games ending on turn 4-7 is just stupid
i dont know were you play but in standard from gold 10 all the way to legend you see literally only Warlock and Mage. And if you are really lucky you see a fancy Rogue or Pala in one out of 10 games.
I can imagen that there are many diffrent decks in wild but not in standard.
But my main issue is that the 2 main decks you see are the ones that have the least interaction. The only interaction happens when they kill your board and try to survive until they otk you.
In general i enjoy a fast aggro meta but this just Omegalul.
I will wait until they fixed the problem until then ill just complete my quests.

Playing devils advocate as someone who enjoys playing priest, I would say discover and the ease in which priest finds answer cards is even more divisive than draw.

Literally just ignore them.

Stop ignoring the fact that the game is in a terrible spot when it could be in fact a billion times better.

No, it’s not. I enjoy both long grindy games and really fast ones. Not stupid, just different than how you like.

This is honestly the worst meta I've seen and I've been playing since beta. I will be sadly discontinuing to play this game.

Just fix all these stupid 0 mana cards already either preexisting or generated
