As many have mentioned there is no board interactions with any of the quests that are popular now. Hunter/Mage/Warlock just want to nuke you from hand. The power level is very close to KotFT

One of the hunter quest rewards is literally to target minions with the hero power, that deck is more interactive than most hunter decks in existence, even my homebrew Carnassa hunter which was the most obscure and stupid deck up until very recently has OTK elements in it and stops being interactive after quest completion.
And quest warlock is very interactive and board centric up until they complete the quest, at which point one player is losing the game on the next turn but that's not the definition of uninteractive, that's the definition of a win condition
yea this is fine. I've been having a ton of fun just countering mage and warlock in wild with burn decks (Shaman burn is fun). Once the meta settles and some nerfs happen no one will complain. This isn't nearly as bad as Demon Hunter launch
The question is WHEN not IF some decks will get nerfed, especially Quest Mage and Garrote Rogue. I don't think other deck need intervention yet.
Out of curiosity, I played few games with Quest Mage. Mirror games were ridicolous. Went back to playing Rouge, can't see how people enjoy playing a deck that requires 0 interaction with your opponent.
- Little interaction with minions, the meta is too combo oriented. Besides of spell mage, quest lock and garrote rogue, there are other combo decks like diferent variations DH, corrupt shaman (this is more inconsistent). Face hunter, agro shaman and quest druid aren't combo decks but they don't interact very often with minions.
I don't really enjoy playing rn, but it's kinda ok. I'm very close to my perfect Questline Warlock decklist. The ones that others play are so bad. So it's still fun to play with a deck that doesn't afraid anyone, because usually I get counter matchups every time I win some games with other decks and it's frustrating.
I believe there can be no worse expansion than MSoG - it was the most boring meta ever, even tho we got highlander support.
I remember this meta. It was godawful, either hyper control highlander mage/warlock or hyper aggro shaman/warrior. Never seen a meta so painfully polarized.
It's feeling really bad to me too. I mostly play midrange decks and even midrange is too slow for this meta. Control is beyond dead in the water. I think they either need to remove [card]Incanter's Flow[/card] from mage or they need to make pretty much all mage spells only target minions. Quest warlock is also going to be a problem the moment mage is nerfed because they can straight up play all their cards for free. Then, if both of those classes are nerfed to not get a bunch of free stuff, priest, rogue, hunter, and demon hunter will need to be nerfed for the same reason. Basically, all the classes have waaaay too much free shit that they can use far too early.
I'd argue this expansion is actually phenominal and fun with card power level actually reasonable. Aggro decks and fast combo games have fewer turns and thus each decision matters more. Couple this with apm intense turns and the skill to execute the combos is higher than it's ever been (maybe to grim patron levels in the case of rogue or warlock).
Blizzard doesn't anticipate decks or print cards to fix specific decks, combos like the spell damage ally minion on auctioneer were clever work arounds players figured out to make the rogue deck as explosive as it is.
Honestly, this is the most fun I've had in a long time. I've greatly enjoyed token druid and quest druid. I'll gladly try quest paladin and that other paladin later, if I start losing
Bit of an over exaggeration don't you think? The infinite "ignite" mage deck does not reduce the shuffled back versions into your deck for 0 mana. The meta is a dumpster fire, but just spewing untrue facts out because you're butt hurt isn't helping.
I'm just stating facts, if they want people to keep investing a LOT of money into the game, they can at least test these things and make the game more accessible
Except there are a crap load of people who love to play combo, and right now there are a minimum of four combo otk decks out.
It’s always funny when people go “the worst launch ever” or “worst meta ever” when it is 100% an opinion article.
You’re absolutely entitled to it, but I could easily argue that metas involving just “oh look, everyone’s playing minion based tempo decks and just fighting for the board” are super boring.
There’s combo-stone and there’s curve-stone. One player either gets all their combo pieces before the other and wins, or gets the better curve and wins.
If you enjoy combo decks, then that's perfectly fine. However, this is probably the closest a standard meta has come to feeling like wild & that's not a good thing regardless of what archetypes you like playing. Insane card draw & Turn 5/6 OTKs happening regularly is acceptable in wild, but standard is supposed to be different.
So far this expansion I played five games as a mage, against five mages. I won all of them. The only minions Ive seen so far is the ones I played and I had to destroy them to complete my quest. On turn 8 the games were over with NO interaction with my opponents. So lame and boring. Im done for now, maybe Ill be back next expansion.
I feel like my favorite game is stolen from me. What a bunch of BS decks out there. I'm never EVER clueless about how a game is going to turn out, which is really problematic. Not in the sense who is going to win, but what cards or even complete decks your opponent is going to play. I hate this

Expansion still seems fine to me.

I'm not Paul George, I'm just a fan.
IMO there are 2 main problems in the most common decks on the first days:
- Mana discount/cheating: Some of the most problematics decks (mages with Incanter's Flow / [card] refreshing spring water[/card] , rogues with Efficient Octo-bot or Preparation and lock with the new weapon/stealer of souls.
- Little interaction with minions, the meta is too combo oriented. Besides of spell mage, quest lock and garrote rogue, there are other combo decks like diferent variations DH, corrupt shaman (this is more inconsistent). I dunno man im playing pirate quest warrior and all warlocks and mages are eating my nuts for breakfast lol
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.

Am I the only one who hates discussions started with "am I the only one who"? Also, starting rebuttle with "imagine" gets me too.
I’m sorry to say that I’m part of the problem right now I’m 21-0 with quest warlock in wild it’s stupid
34:3 but I conceded the 3 because i hate mirrors kekw

I think the only way to fix priest is that the quest text says:
play 2 of a 2-3 or 4 mana
play 2 of 5 or 6 mana
play 2 of 7 or 8 mana
that would be the only thing i tthink could work
