Finally i was able to finish and execute my first priest quest. My FIRST after a shit ton of matches.
This time i didnt get facefucked and this time my opponent didnt concede after i got the shard into my hand but i REALLY have been able to play that shard.
So disappointed. Boring and lousy animation and not even an achievement.
PS: after i adapted and techd against mage and warlock, i got my 6th warrior in a row...
I like the priest quest. I have been able to complete it for the win the last two times. Once against mage. I just keep playing minions and clearing the board.
Oof, not even a special animation? Well, even more unhappy I crafted it golden >_>
There is an animation, and the golden is enhanced. Is a snazzy holy bolt explodes your opponents portrait. The big problem with the quest is yoinwin 90ish% of the time playing controlish priest.
And so far after about 30 games with it mage is auto lose unless you can devour their battle cry on quest completion. Which is a very low chance to have and hit by t6/7, I won't once that way, and the mage almost Killed me without the +3 global spell damage regardless.
But I am climbing with the deck d5 now. And I have completed the combo 3 times, I seem to have a high wr against quest Druid.
I've played against Warlock, Mage, Warrior and Druid quests only so far, but they all finish way too fast. They were all done in each case before turn 10.

im sorry but, why on earth did people think the priest quest was any good? did they not play *any other card games where a card says "you win the game" * and not expect it to be as trash as those other games? only one that i can think of that was semi good was approach the second sun.
Was the Paladin deathknight any good? I don't remember how it performed but it did have a similar 'you win the game' type of thing that @wisp341 was talking about.

From what i remember, it was extremely hard to pull it off, since the minions that were summoned were immediately killed. I think the only 2 ways one could've successfully gotten the game winning effect off was A: Your opponent was in fatigue, or B: They were getting horrible draws.

The priest quest line would be fine if OTK decks weren’t so prevalent. Also, thassa’s oracle says hi.

On Paper it was good since it creates a must remove threat and you get a lifesteal weapon to heal up.
The problem was that 6 months after release, odd/even was put in the game, so that dominated paladin's meta for the time it was in before they early rotated it, problem was was that the DK rotated at the same time.
Was really only used in a OTK deck that pinged the tokens back to your hand.

It became pretty good once shirvallah came into the game. I had a deck I ran that had both the Shirvalah and the horsemen package and it was probably my second favorite deck I’ve ever played
On topic, the priest quest is just really clunky and is going to take a lot of time to refine, and I don’t think any version without primordial elemental will ever be optimal. Realistically the earliest you’ll ever win with the quest is turn 11/12. Problem is most games seem to be over by turn 8-9 most of the time right now. With a balance patch you might see quest priest be more viable.
I was able to complete the quest and play the Shard on my first game ever with Quest Priest, I agree that the animation is not too amazing and it's quite disappointing that there is no associated achievement.
Frankly I don't find Quest Priest to be such a bad deck. My advice in the current meta would be: don't overload your deck with mediocre 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-drops. Run 1x of each and run all the good Control Priest cards that cost 4 or less mana. Completing the quest will only matter in 5-10% of your matches and in those matches you should have more than enough time to draw or discover the X-cost card that you need.
Instead utilize the quest for the intermediate reward(s) and for being able to run the 3/4 body that discovers a spell.

Hey. =)
All those queststep animations last 10 times longer than the finishing animation, which is basically just a... well. Discover it by yourself. :)
I've done it twice in about 8 games, the animation is okay, but could be better. What deck ya running?

Selfmade, like always.

Unlucky. Most of the time its turn 7.
Yeah, I mean, the word "questline" to me implied that these might take some time to complete. Turn 7? That's really fast.
ahh, i see. I'm running a slightly modified deck from here. Had to add a few more 7 mana minions because of discard warlock, only had Mutanus before.
