90% of the ladder are these 2 decks and i'm sick of them. Both of them are solitaire decks where you better kill them by turn 7 or you lose. Are there any good decks that actually have a chance to consistently win against them?
My midrangy quest demon hunter does okayish... but not good enough. I only win when they draw badly.
Face hunter or shaman is too fast for them, but if you want the real counter that beats the fringe other decks that you might find is handbuff paladin with robes tech. You drop robes into a 2-3 minions board and you can see both mage and warlock shit themselves and hover over robes in confusion por like 20 seconds at least.
The problem is that quest mage is a counter to quest warlock. The only deck I've seen that consistently does well against both of them is a well-piloted garrote miracle Rogue, but that sounds like it's also a deck you don't like. Quest Druid is solid against Quest mage and has a 40ish percent against quest warlock. Outside of that, three decks have been trying to take over the Varden/Tamsin behemoths, and that's Doomhammer Shaman, bubble paladin, and quest Rogue. All three of these decks are relying on finding the turns of false sense of security to burst down with windfury, though they all have enough raw stats to just win with large pressure.
Another important element to a lot of these decks is proper counterplay/hosing. You can't just think "oh, they're gonna clear my board, bluh". Which cards? How much stats? What can you expect to have after? How many cards will it cost them? Did you actually present enough threat that they /need/ to clear it? The use of cult neophytes and far watch posts can ruin the days of both quest warlock and mage.
Personally I think the trick to the meta is "get better at quest mage than everyone else" because people make a LOT of mistakes piloting that deck, and it's easier to play against them if you really know their deck, whether or not you're also playing Quest Mage.
Garrote rogue destroys these two decks. You deal 30 damage in one turn and they both Telegraph when they are going to go off, you have until the turn before to do your combo. If they let you live until turn 7, it’s pretty much guaranteed that you will have what you need to kill them.
Could just do what I'm doing and electing to not play the game until this expansion is addressed. Zero stress or decision making involved.
I'am actually still laying back watching the Madness unfold with my 33k Dust and 9k Gold Mountain before crafting anything. Theres just so many changes at the Top of the Meta going on every Day, that only a Fool would waste Resources until there is a clear Pecking Order, which won't be until 2-3 Weeks into a Expansion.

I waste resources cause it's a game not a damn job and I enjoy the experimentation phase, I will always craft the cards I want immediately at launch and have never regretted it, you don't get to call me a fool for that. Why are you adding capital letters to random words ? That a fool would do.
With so many resources you've got wha's is the point of not wasting it ? You can craft a ton of stuff and still save resources to craft powerful decks later. Flexing your dust doesn't sound more fun that playing with new cards in an unrefined environnement, but it works I want your dust and I want to use it. Aren't you one of those guys who complain about how boring the meta has become in just a couple days ? I hope not, because your resource management implies that you're playing with whatever you got from your packs and waiting to craft the next T1 deck, so your plan is playing boring old decks until you can make the meta more boring for everyone else. (Which is fine, you get to play the way you want, just making a point, for you or anyone who is ranting about boring meta and no experimentation. Most people are too afraid to craft bad cards. Some people just didn't open any pack and can't craft anything.
Only the whales and the people who treat this as a video game are experimenting right now. That's not a lot of people.

Guess you have never read about the german language then. We tend to type noun's beginning with a capital letter. (the Tree, the House etc)
Yes. HOW DARE ME for getting used to this way of typing after being a german all my life. lul.
I guess you want me to get rid of my "annoying german accent" as well ?!
Well, I just got to face a quest warlock with garrote rogue, on turn 6 he finished the quest, managed to get down darkglare and stealer of souls, then backfire and played auctioneer and drew and drew. He didn’t have enough to kill me, but he had enough animations to make my next turn too short to get off all my animations for garrote. This is peak hearthstone, beating your opponent with animations taking their turns before they can take a turn so long it kills you.

You're easily offended for someone who calls thousands of people fools for petty reasons. That was my point actually, cause I felt offended too. I don't really think you're a fool, and I had no idea nor did I care that this was related to your langage. It is mostly irritating to read for a french like me so I just called you a fool for an idiotic reason cause you did it.
I do not find the german accent annoying by the way, and I feel sorry for you that so many people hate this langage. I even had the privilege to learn this langage back in middle school and I was good at it but couldn't take the course in high school so I forgot pretty much everything, including what you just told me. Is that even true lol ? Cause I really can't remember anything about capital letters in my german course.
Been playing the new quest lock, my hardest counters have been mirrors, face hunters, and this one deathrattle quest (not the new quest) heal priest where it was laughable how little i could do against it. GL

Animation is the single worst thing in Hearthstone, and is getting worse every 3 month. I hope they fix it eventually. Like you know just a button to cancel all animations permanently, or at least being able to interact with animations in the game to simply stop them with a mouse click. You can already disable the little card animation inbetween animations with a click on it, why allow us to disable the fastest animation in the game and not stupid shit like Shudderwock or decks with high APM ? That's pure trolling at this point lol

Quest Druid
Anything that only hits face like hunter or shamman, also with poison rogue its a free win against them if you dont have EXTREMELLY bad luck
Aggro. Minions.
no. I stopped reading there.

Another deck to try is this: https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/secret-paladin-47-legend-duelist-united-in-stormwind/
Ohmyyogg has a lot of potential against important turns (countering the big draws from either deck, or if they're stupid enough, countering their quest lmao).

Edit: Hunter also does well. https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/face-hunter-27-legend-hattrik-united-in-stormwind/ It ruins quest warlock in particular, but I feel like mage has more even chances than spell mage did against face hunter.
Celestial druid so much fun aganist them :D
I could change the world, but it is not open sourced.

I had one Quest Mage disconnect when I slammed a discounted Taintheart Tormenter on board. Felt so good.

Crossroads watch post along with robes is some fun. Your minions just grow and grow

as someone who plays a version of questline warlock (I play what my packs gave me, sorry), I've had the most trouble against questline rogue.
My particular version relies on board control, and I can't do jack about all the juggled and stealthed minions.
Multiple flavors of shaman have been a headache, too.

i just made a random token druid with really bad ratios to deal with some quests and i destroy both of these decks by accident. xD
