It’s so easy to spot the abusers of broken decks. Their mask slips off every time. They’ll point to some worthless statistic on some garage operation website to "prove" their point or as usual they attack you with the tried and true "git gud". Rich stuff. That’s what bad players do though. They are scared that their auto pilot, broken deck will get nerfed and it’s making them nervous since they can’t win any other way.
Hearthstone has had some expansions that are better than others. That always happens. But this one IS putrid. It just promotes and actually forces one to play solitaire or hyper aggro. That’s IT. No midrange, no minion based decks at all, zero control or even later game decks. Hell, I’d argue that even tempo decks are mostly useless too since there’s no way to out tempo a deck that only draws cards and chucks spells at your face. Or, even funnier, chucks spells at their OWN face. What a monumental joke.
No it isn't. This is just what people like you tell yourself because you've already convinced yourself that you're absolutely correct and that nobody could possibly disagree with you unless they are an 'abuser'.
It's childish and something I only ever see from low intelligence people. If you don't like an argument that includes statistical data, counter it with actual data and facts. Any brain dead cretin can sit there and strawman anybody who disagrees with them into oblivion. It takes zero intelligence or knowledge. It's basically like saying "I know you are, I said you are but what am I?"
You're very clearly driven by ego and bias. You don't want to entertain the possibility that maybe you aren't playing very well or making good decisions. You're deluded enough into being convinced that it cannot possibly be anything to do with you, you won't even have a reasonable discussion with someone who disagrees. Yep, it's way, way easier to just say "merrrr you must be pwaying wiff dat deck den you abooser" than it is to actually construct a proper argument which is backed up by data to evidence your point. You don't need evidence, you just need your feelings....
Honestly, that's how you sound. No, I don't play quest mage, no I don't like playing against it, no it isn't God tier, it isn't this unbeatable deck that rolls through anything and everything. It just isn't, I dislike the way the deck plays as well but it can be teched against and several decks can rush it down. I've had a lot of success against it with quest druid. The armor gain you build as well as the amount of face damage you can push with your hero is just too much for them, unless they get an absolute god draw and can get themselves to fatigire very quickly so they can abuse the infinite damage.
As long as you keep convincing yourself that anybody who disagrees with you is an 'abuser' or works for Blizzard, you'll continue just sitting and festering in your own filth. I'm only in diamond 2 at the minute but hardly see mages. In fact, I just checked deck tracker and in the last 49 games I've played, I've faced 7 mages.
I'm going to guess you're playing at a low rank.... Low ranks with low skilled players see these types of decks way more often. In part probably because that type of player doesn't react, counter and find solutions. That is what skilled, rational players do. They come on forums and spam the same rants about the deck being god tier because they cannot face their own failings, it's unfathomable, it must be someone or something else, right? Never you.

I remember how fun it was playing the year of the dragon, and the one before that. Frozen throne and the Witchwood was amazing, i miss those days. Every expansion since the year of the dragon has felt pretty bad.
I heard a lot of devs moved on from the company, so I'm guessing their top talent is no longer on the dev team.

It's rubbish I have to agree. But at least it seems Blizzard is already aware of it, they just haven't decided which cards to adjust, but it's already been confirmed that something will be done to restore order. Therefore I am not too worried at the moment, everyone knows there's a balance problem from the gamers to the streamers to the devs themselves.
Now if the balance patch ends up being way too mild and they let certain power decks get away with a slap on the wrist, THEN I'm gonna be back here sounding off the skies.
After giving it some thought, I think that the only solution to the powercreep and most of the meta 'problems' is to increase the health cap from 30 to 35, maybe even 40. This will slow everyone down and make running higher cost cards viable. I don't think any particular deck is the issue this expansion - it is the sheer speed at which the games are played. This sounds great on paper for their target demographic but ultimately it makes games feel like player agency is unimportant. And that is not a good feeling. I've thought countless times to myself that there was nothing I could've done and was killed on round 5-6. I regularly kill on those rounds, too. This then means that everything becomes heavily draw dependent - curve into your wincon and that it's it. Don't curve and you're dead.
To be honest, I am enjoying the meta, the cards, the combinations and the direction they took. I want to enjoy experiencing the game a little bit longer because of that. One or two more rounds would've been perfect and you will get that by pushing up the health cap without touching anything else. Even aggro would have to start using bigger cards - cards printed by Blizz to be enjoyed, wasting atm. I wish Blizzard made this move. They must be aware how powerful the cards they print are and must be planning something like this in the near future... I hope.
They say they are waiting to nerf because the meta is "still evolving" ...
That's true to an extent, but four of the top five decks are existing meta decks that were in the top five before Stormwind released.
What that says to me is that the only truly OP cards in this expansion were all given to Paladin. As much as people seem to hate Questlines, there is no Tier 1 Quest deck at the moment.

Nope, I hated Frozen Throne. Death Knights got old fast for me, and I was not the only one.

People were pretty excited about Un'goro and Knights when they came out. Quests & Death Knights were just such a new, exciting concept.
Having said that, I think card design has improved since Year of the Dragon started. Archetypes feel much more solid, better thought out, even if they don't always work out.
I actually think in that respect, Stormwind is great, they just overtuned some stuff and need to tone it down.

Not every loser like you has the free time to play this game 24/7, or type an essay that they are 'skilled' and 'rational' on the internet. I would also say not everyone has the free time to demean people who clearly just care about the game and are concerned with the, quite frankly, terrible direction it's heading in.
At the end of the day, this is supposed to be a casual game, and the new combo decks are ruining the fun of many players who just want to spend a few minutes winding down in HS after a stressful day. They don't need people like you to tell them that their opinions are invalid just because they're 'low rank', or supposedly 'less skilled'. Or that their personal experience was soured by terrible card design, but their emotions are unjustified because hey look, the statistics show that the deck they're complaining about isn't broken! So deal with it!

i love the expansion, I love the meta. I think it’s maybe the best expansion ever.
